The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded 14 earthquakes in Oklahoma since about 9:30 p.m. Friday, the largest being a magnitude 4.0.The 4.0 magnitude quake was recorded at 10:05 p.m. Friday about seven miles south of Langston. Three other quakes of magnitude 2.9, 3.0 and 3.3 were recorded Saturday afternoon in the Medford area.The other quakes ranged from magnitude 2.4 to 2.9.
The energy industry is obviously denying that their fracking and gas extractions have anything to do with the uptick of quakes—but really, what else could they possibly say? Just admit it?
But are we fracked or just fracking? Take a quick gander at the comments section on this local Oklahoma news station’s story about the shaking in Oklahoma.. Some calling the frackster-hucksters ‘tree huggers’ while others are decrying gas companies. Everything is political these days. Even earthquakes.

Weird ritual at Berks County PA Memorial Gardens?
Decapitated chickens, pennies, pieces of coconut and heart candies were found on the grounds of the Berks County Memorial Gardens in Maidencreek Township this week.
People are left wondering now if the scene was that of animal cruelty or some religious sacrifice..
I know this from my paranormal investigations throughout the years.. There are Taiwanese beheading rituals involving chickens that are often still practiced today. There are also other ritualistic sacrifices of animals that tend to brew in Africa, as this article from 2012 illustrates ..
Also this: Hindus often use coconuts in their religious rituals..
But none of that really answers why coconuts, pennies, and candies surrounded the headless chickens in Memorial Gardens, but it hints at a possible lead.
Or it’s just kids with their damn pranks…..

Going old school this weekend—something about parades in the coal region remind me of my early childhood days of the 1980s.. But so much has changed in the coal region of Pennsylvania since the Reagan days of the shining cities on hills and Communist threats. Now we are faced with dilapidated structures and hardcore drugs running wild on the streets..
But it was still a decent day in Girardville as bagpipers played as beer guzzling parade goers cried until their kilts ran dry..
All we need is a miracle.. maybe a miracle… Maybe some day.

A few weeks ago, we heard news of Iran moving a submarine to the United States East Coast and Russia moving a spy ship of some kind to Cuba.
That should be a pretty startling question, really..
The United States has not been faced with such questions for some time. Terrorism brought a new form of illusive warfare to the shores of the United States.. but state run military threats were thought to be a thing of the past.
Until Iran made a ‘deal’ with us.. and until the breakdown of relations with Russia took place—despite those old weird photo ops featuring Hillary Clinton and reset buttons.

But it never does. Instead all of the networks simply rehash the same news over and over again, calling it ‘breaking’….
The only thing I can say about NBC is this: They could be guilty of it too.. lest we forget they interrupted a Congresswoman to go live to Justin Bieber’s arraignment.. Chuck Todd may have forgotten ..
But really..
The only time I know that ‘breaking news’ is REALLY BREAKING NEWS is when NBC sends off their chimes of death. THAT is when the world does end..

My friend sent me the video.. I am not a hot dog eater, unless there’s that guilty moment during a hot summer barbecue when you pile ketchup and raw onions on one and devour it..
Nonetheless, for the good of the order, here’s the way we get our salty mushed up ‘trimmings’ from animals parts that are better left ground up and mushed than whole.
What surprised me more than anything, to be honest, was how clean and sanitary the whole process is.
Pig and chicken farms and cow slaughterhouses are much worse..
Hot dogs being made? Disgusting yes. But pretty darn clean,it would seem.
Until you see those weird chunks of chunky somethings in your tube of encased meat-like processed filth…

Billy Joel shakes off some dust and appears on the TONIGHT SHOW with Jimmy Fallon. And it made for pretty great music and good TV. I saw Billy Joel twice live.. They were shows to remember. My wife wasn’t a fan and grudgingly went to the Hershey PA show a few years ago. She instantly became a fan during the outdoor nightmare performance in beautiful brisk air.. (I still don’t particularly like Fallon’s brand of hosting, but this clip was good, although one thing that seems to be ok with Fallon is how he loves his guests as much as we do.. not much fake about him).

Beating the meat: Catholic guilt
I was born into the Catholic guilt ..
I distinctly recall being a child and thinking I’d burn in hell because I accidentally ate a chicken finger on a Friday in lent. I think I even tearfully told a priest at my Catholic school mandated confession in my early grade school years.
Since then, it obvious became less and less of an important matter.
However, I finally found an article from a Catholic site that claims to explain WHY Catholics are told not to eat meat on Fridays.
Is it because of the fishing industry needing business? Popes not liking mutton? God declaring that fish rocks the casbah?
No. It’s all because—yet again—of sex.
Basically this: Hot blooded animals, AKA meat, can be equated to to hot sex. And for that reason you should steer clear. Seriously. Saint Thomas’ own words:

Apparently St. Thomas never saw me eat Shrimp Scampi, which if made with Dry Sherry, becomes an gratifying sexual experience for me.

The PPL Corp. nuclear reactor under federal scrutiny has been shut down after the discovery of a leaky water valve. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said workers found the leak during a startup of Unit 2 at PPL’s Susquehanna nuclear facility near Berwick. The reactor had been shut off for maintenance work on its turbines. PPL said today that the reactor was turned off so the valve could be fixed. Unit 2 is one of two roughly 1,300-megawatt reactors Allentown-based PPL operates at its Susquehanna Steam Electric Station near Berwick, Pa. It is one of nine commercial reactors nationwide that the federal commission listed as having a degraded level of performance last year. The listing is due to unplanned shutdowns in 2012 and 2013. The Unit 1 reactor remains at full power. Commission spokesman Neil Sheehan said inspectors will monitor repairs.

Lucas Ezra Silas Guinn, white, male, age 11 years old, height 4 feet 08 inches, weight 84 lbs, with brown eyes and brown hair, wearing red and black shirt with blue jeans pants, went missing.
This from the report from WTVR:
The child is likely abducted by Jimmy Donald Guinn, white, male, age 67 years old, height 5 feet 11 inches, weight 235 lbs, with blue eyes and brown/partially gray hair.
They may be traveling in a 2004 purple freight-liner tractor, VA license 78471PY.
VSP sent an update saying that the truck company name is “Snow Bird Trucking.”
The destination is unknown but possibly northbound towards West Virginia or Ohio.

Might have possibly abandoned the freightliner truck and could be in a large style burgundy pickup diesel truck.

For 10 days now, we’ve been told that the plane veered to the left and continued that way, some reports even say for up to four hours, at least one rumor had it that the plane flew over top of a remote island..
But now they find so-called wreckage off the coast of Australia? They are not confirming anything yet, but I would be very hesitant to say that this is flight 370 for the fact that it goes against all of the other storylines about what may have happened to this flight..
Unless all the of those other storylines were dead wrong

Numb to the victims
Death happens every day.. mass death occurs. But we should be used to it or accept it—however do accept it often.
I am struck by the reaction of the world and media to the missing flight 370. We are facing the possibility that the 239 passengers and crew faced an overwhelmingly horrific death—the way they expired may be viewed different depending on which viewpoint you have as far as what happened to the flight itself. But by this point, it would seem obvious that there’s no life from within that plane.
And we are numb to it.
Numb in the sense that we aren’t talking about the lives aboard.. we aren’t speaking of the beautiful children who faced an awful early departure from this realm.. we aren’t talking about the wives and husbands, moms and dads, employees and employers.. The stories of all 239 people have seemingly vanished as much as their flight itself. Gone for good into the memory hole.. Never to be spoken about again.
A mass death occurred in some way, most likely..But their lives don’t seem to matter. They’re just the back story to the Malaysian mystery.
The people who seem to be suffering the most are the families of the missing.. There was a news conference held in Kuala Lumpur with updates about what we know on the missing plane—as far as the news conference, think of it like this: we don’t know a thing and anything you’ve known is wrong. But during the event, families of the missing became frustrated and emotional, screaming out in tears and anger. They were also angry at the response or lack thereof from governmental bodies. As a result, they were swept away as the media watched, families who are going through agony and misery simply dragged away from the news conference in front of reporters.. Even the BBC reported that a reporter from their agency was pushed away from family members carrying banners critical of the government. The BBC reporter, Jonah Fisher, faced a wall of police as he tried to talk to the wailing wall of people..
My point, if any, is that the story of where the plane is and how it went missing is extremely important. And the flight simulator with its programmed routes, along with the sudden movement of Flight 370 itself, are big issues. But the heart of the story are the lives aboard. If a flight carrying no one vanished they story wouldn’t matter nearly as much. But a flight carrying so many lives, so many stories, and so many souls, makes this matter much more. But at the same time the media is hardly talking about those lives, and really not permitted to speak to the families of the missing.
There seems to be something rotten in Malaysia. Either the government is hiding something or has simply dropped the ball so hard that the time frame to find the plane is now dwindling to the point of no return.
I am struck by how little attention is being paid to the lives aboard this flight. The images of the children of the disappeared was striking when I saw them the other day. But they are not just becoming forgotten.. missing plane parts are more important that body parts.
As the families drift into darkness, rushed away from reporters snapping photos, ask yourself this: Are we just accepting of mass murder and mass death? Are we even phased by it anymore? Is it just a side story on the big story?
War makes news only because of the men who plan war. The victims, often children birthed into a world of heartbreak, are forgotten. Collateral damage. We say. We think.
But what do we really think, deep down?
Are you a bystander in life, just watching mass death from a distance? Did you lose your connection to humanity, thinking what happens “there” will not affect here? What happens to “them” is less important than “us”? Ask yourself that..?

I am a little bit of it Altoids addict, I pop them like candy. Well I guess they are candy, but they are curiously strong candies that I seem to have no version eating one after the other the entire tin cans gone.
So that is why my wife figured it would be good to buy me the many candies as opposed to the regular size, something to help cut down my addiction..
Last night I ate an entire small can of Altoids.. they tasted a little bit different they still have the kick that I needed.
And it made my stomach turn to rot.
I could not believe the pains I having and the gastrointestinal issues only five minutes after eating my last one..
That’s when I did my due diligence, looked at the can, and realized that the mini candies are sugarfree, replacing that sugar and corn syrup goodness with dangerous aspartame..
I swore off fake sugar and artificial sweeteners years ago, and every time I have anything that contains aspartame I get immediate headaches and stomach pains. Last night I cursed Donald Rumsfeld as I tried to fall asleep, knowing that the deal worked out back last century led to this rat poison being in my body..
This morning I stopped at my local convenience store and bought a large box of Altoids.. they have sugar and I’m grateful for that.

Last night I posted something that has been getting re-posted for a long time on my personal Facebook page: It was from CRACKED, and it was the ‘8 insulting ways people act ‘Irish’ on St. Patrick’s Day’.. What sort of astounded me was the reaction it got from someone.. She was hardcore angry over the content. She is Irish, I am just about 50% if you would measure me, so I offered up the article because a friend of mine did and I found it interesting…
But her ferocious outrage and indignation with the article was obvious from her lengthy post about the author .. corned beef.. and cabbage. Perhaps I should have linked up this article by Seamus McKiernan on the HUFFINGTON POST. He has dual citizenship, here in the United States and also in Ireland. He is not celebrating St. Patrick’s Day because he fears that the events occurring at local watering holes and parades across the US of A have become a ‘cartoonish’ farce.. He also pointed out that St. Patrick’s colors were blue, not green.. and that the good Irish saint may not have even been Irish!
The HUFFINGTON POST isn’t done yet.. another blogger, Bill Stieger, writes about the American version of drinking the holiday to death.. He says,

A new study offers strong evidence that environmental toxins play a role in the disorder. The report looked at birth defects associated with parental exposure to pollution and found a 1% increase in the defects corresponded to a 283% increase in autism

Miley Cyrus has been grossing out the people of the planet since autumn 2013. Recently, thanks to her BANGERZ tour, we’ve seen her ride a giant hot dog enter the stage on a massive lizard-like tongue coming from a monumentally frightening image of her face.
But a construction worker involved with making the tongue slide was more than grossed out—he was injured!
He is suing the company that built the tongue..
He is not suing Miley Cyrus however.
Maybe we could talk this worker and Sky Ferreira into doing us a favor and trying to figure out a lawsuit to stop Miley from being Miley.

I wish for a world without tragedy and fear for children. Obviously judging from daily news, this planet hasn’t attained any goal of goodness or love.
If a horrible accident occurred on board this plane, it’s assumed that all 239 passengers succumbed to their ill-fated demise quickly. I fear that did not happen.. I especially cringe thinking about the plane experiencing a hijacking gone wrong, or something even worse for the innocent people aboard the flight.
Yes, indeed.. those who tune out of heavy headlines may be the happiest.
I’m not like that. I soak up the news as much as a Sheryl Crow soaks up the sun. And for that, I am typically upset about what some nation or person has done to an innocent child in a dark part of the planet Earth.

David Brenner just lost a battle with cancer.. he is dead tonight at the age of 78.
He died on a Saturday.. I think of all the Saturday nights he entertained throughout the years of his career, to half empty rooms of half drunk people to the audiences of the TONIGHT SHOW with Johnny Carson..
His humor became an inspiration for others such as Jerry Seinfeld and Paul Reiser..
He was a star of the 20th century and a trend setter for years to come..
And he never abandoned his craft.
As FOX news points out in their story tonight on his passing,
Brenner worked steadily through 2013 doing standup. A four-day gig last December included a New Year’s Eve show at a King of Prussia, Pa., casino-resort in which he showcased young comedians.

Officials now saying it is 'conclusive' that Flight 370 was hijacked
Seven days after the vanishing act of MH370, we are now seeing reports that the airliner was hijacked by someone with ‘experience’ and that authorities are zeroing in on two possible routes that the flight took.. Malaysia’s Prime Minister Najib said Saturday that this was a ‘deliberate action.’
Najib also said investigators are now trying to trace the airplane across two possible “corridors” — a northern corridor from the border of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan through to northern Thailand, and a southern corridor from Indonesia to the southern Indian Ocean.
That surprisingly conclusive information comes after days of mystery—searches in vast portions of oceans and spy satellites searching land masses for wreckage. Now the Indian Ocean is in play..
This has been the most bizarre and surreal series of events that I have ever witnessed in connection with a plane crash.. And to call it a plane crash at this is not even accurate. We frankly don’t.. Even if the hijacking story works out, the fact remains: We don’t know where Flight 370 is.

This may seem like a delusional Friday night thought—and with hours of travel today and three days away my mind may be in a bizarre state of mind. But here goes anyway..
As I sat in a very lonely hotel bar room, sipping a club soda and lime (after a beer or two of course) I got into a conversation with someone who slipped into a stupor long before I ended up with my non alcoholic beverage. There was a muted TV playing coverage of the news, that night, that they thought they found wreckage from Flight 370. That turned out to be untrue of course, but during our short bar talk, he told me that he thought aliens abducted the passengers and threw the plane into the ocean.
I laughed at that thought but immediately remembered reading the Langoliers by Stephen King. I also recall, quite well, seeing the made for TV movie starring Baulky from PERFECT STRANGERS. The movie was just awful as far as graphics and acting.. but the concept from King was marvelous: The Langoliers are creatures that eat time. And a red eye flight gets caught up in a time slip .. the passengers have to figure it out. And before you know it, they encounter 20th century computer graphics that eat their time out from under them, and around them.
Interesting concept.
And some have compared the Langoliers to today’s new mystery.
You’d need to suspend logic for a while.. what better time to do it than at a lonely cold bar room in the central part of Pennsylvania. I did.. and I wondered if these passengers were battling time demons in a galaxy close by..
Of course, reality may end up with a tragic result in this matter. A crash site.. or something worse..
The Langoliers would be bad, too. Especially if they are as graphically challenged as the 1995 version of creatures that eat time..
