Edward Snowden is now officially on Twitter. He only follows one other ..the NSA
This from a whisteblower..
William Binney is one of the highest-level whistleblowers to ever emerge from the NSA. He was a leading code-breaker against the Soviet Union during the Cold War but resigned soon after September 11, disgusted by Washington’s move towards mass surveillance
Disgusted.. and talking.
Edward Snowden has released some more information.. at this point, either Americans will be completely numb to it or it may finally start to matter: Most of the online accounts that get investigated by the NSA belong to just everyday people.. As a matter of fact, MOST of the information the NSA has did not come from intended targets of investigations..
Even more from the WASHINGTON POST on this… The POST details how the NSA intercepts photographs.. Barton Gellman, Julie Tate, and Ashkan Soltani write, in part: "Scores of pictures show infants and toddlers in bathtubs, on swings, sprawled on their backs and kissed by their mothers. In some photos, men show off their physiques. In others, women model lingerie, leaning suggestively into a webcam or striking risque poses in shorts and bikini tops." MORE HERE..
The Obama administration has been quietly advising local police not to disclose details about surveillance technology they are using to sweep up basic cellphone data from entire neighborhoods
And I bet they’ll listen..
A must read and watch epic website devoted to the important question
We already knew the database was extensive.. we already knew they were collecting information. And we already assumed they had our faces.
Our selfies..
Our couplies..
And doublies..
Or whatever elseies we will be coming up withie..
Have we surrendered our privacy for the fleeting moment of vain attention? Or is this just a product of the future being now?
It’s a big big world in a biometric land..
We are strangers in it.
I hope you smile!
You’re on camera.
This is a big, big deal.
Thus, expect to hear little to nothing about it on your news station of choice.
Interesting.
Really Facebook is the ultimate reservoir of gossip and relationship issues. I frankly would highly doubt most people would express interest in their crimes through public or private posts.. Although I’m sure the NSA got good tracking services out of their sneaky plan..
Snowden documents are the gift that keep in given like the jelly of the month club from Christmas Vacation..
Most of America seemed to just disregard months of information about the Edward Snowden leaks.. Spying? eh.. surveillance? whattava.. Listening through my phone? Figured.
But..
SPYING ON MY THROUGH ANGRY BIRDS!? What the hell, yo!
It’s true!
According to some earth shattering information being revealed now, Edward Snowden’s leaked documents show that the NSA is spying on people through the popular game ANGRY BIRDS.
Damage control now:
Angry Birds maker Rovio said it had no knowledge of any NSA or GCHQ programs or mechanisms for tapping into its users’ data.
"Rovio doesn’t have any previous knowledge of this matter, and have not been aware of such activity in 3rd party advertising networks," said Saara Bergstrom, Rovio’s VP of marketing and communications. "Nor do we have any involvement with the organizations you mentioned [NSA and GCHQ]."
But the damage is already done. The Black Bomb Bird already struck. But will you delete? Or just keep playing until you finish the game?
Obama’s NSA ‘reforms’ are little more than a PR attempt to mollify the public
Glenn Greenwald, theguardian.comObama is draping the banner of change over the NSA status quo. Bulk surveillance that caused such outrage will remain in place
In response to political scandal and public outrage, official Washington repeatedly uses the same well-worn tactic. It…
Sad. Trust no-one. Especially the US government, apparently.
It certainly gave me a chuckle to hear the big announcement that WE WILL STILL COLLECT THE DATA but just not store it.
He sure did have a lot of flags behind him, though..
Nothing seems sacred anymore.. Quite literally.
So while tongues of fire erupted over old men’s heads in a secret conclave, the NSA knew all..
Perhaps there’s a special place in purgatory for people who do such things? If you believe in that sort of thing that is..
But healthcare.gov still won’t work.
Mind blowing.
WASHINGTON – Operating with almost no public notice, the FBI has spent more than $3 million to operate a fleet of small drone aircraft in domestic investigations, according to a report released Thursday by a federal watchdog agency.
Me-sa thinks the only person who ranted and raved about drones around 2006 was Alex Jones. It was nice when everyone thought he was crazy.
In 2013, we are fully aware that Jones, at least on the existence of a secret drone program, was not tuning his looney.
There’s no Edward Snowden if Edward Snowden is a programmable robot..And robots don’t have a labor union to require paychecks. Win win for Uncle Samuel..
Pootie Poot goes against Barry.
The thrilla that will never make it to Manila..
Pretty interesting world tension developing..
As an aside during testimony on Capitol Hill today, a National Security Agency representative rather casually indicated that the government looks at data from a universe of far, far more people than previously indicated.
A friend of a friend of a friend of a friend…heard it from a friend who heard it friend who heard it from a friend you were snooping around..
