I didn’t get to see them, but heard them quite well many miles away..
Great photo.
I think I can see the Coal Hole in the distance..
Didn’t go to a party tonight, but I went to a block party in Minersville.. Had some good buttery halushkie, and other coal region food at its best and most artery clogging.
Sadly I didn’t hear SAPPHIRE sing Kiss Me Deadly because Ayden got tired and we had to go home.. But enjoyed the show I saw nonetheless.
It certainly put me in a Lita Ford kinda mood—maybe because so many in this region drink their Yuengling while still dressing like their kissing deadly in 1985..
Well it’s pretty much official tonight.. the LONE RANGER is a bust at the box office.
Nikki Finke is reporting on DEADLINE.COM that the movie has had a wretched performance since it opened this week.. Not even good ticket sales on Friday. Apparently very few people want to see the movie..
While you cannot go by ticket sales to judge if a movie is good, you can at least state that this film is the latest of some big Hollywood budget busters this summer with fetched little money..
Finke reported that the movie may not even top $50 mil for the entire weekend..
Horrible performance.
Johnny Depp has a following. But apparently the Lone Ranger just doesn’t..
Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg said she had planned to take the flight that crashed on landing in San Francisco on Saturday. Sandberg decided to switch to another airline in order to use reward miles, she said in a post on her Facebook page. “Taking a minute to be thankful and explain what happened. My family, colleagues Debbie…
A stroke of luck for Sandberg, who averted having happen to her what is happening to over 180 people tonight.. and of them, over 40 are in critical condition.. One report surfaced tonight saying 2 were dead from the Boeing disaster..
CNN is reporting tonight that there were 307 on board the doomed flight. Nine different hospitals are treating the injured..
There are also some amazing and breathtaking images online. It’s amazing, looking at the scene, that we are not talking about even more grim numbers tonight.. thank God we aren’t.. but that’s no comfort for the 2 already fatally injured and the others who are in serious condition..
No matter how many times I watch people scare their unfortunate co-worker in this restaurant, I cannot help but laugh in spite of myself..
LIVE ON THE INTERNET: The aftermath of a plane crash in San Fran.. as told by those walking away from the crash scene..

Disaster Saturday part 1
From the Canadian-U.S. border, a train carrying oil derailed in Lac-Megantic in the morning. NBC news dispatches report one quote saying “everything that was there is gone”.. Another report has that the Quebec town is ablaze in the aftermath due to what the train was carrying.. MORE HERE
A respectable publication, the UK INDEPENDENT, has a headline zooming its way around the Internet(s) tonight thanks to Drudge for linking it.. The topic: The Earth and the sudden mid-life crisis the planet finds itself in..
The report focuses on the how the future will be quite hostile to life. While we may find it hostile already, the type of planet Jack O’Malley-James is talking about goes a little like this, as the INDEPENDENT reports:
According to leading scientist Jack O’Malley-James, life on Earth will perish in more than a billion years when a warming sun boils oceans and forces out CO2, damning plants and subsequently animals.
Most life will have died by the planet reaches 70s (or 6.5 billion-years-old), he says, with any microorganisms confined to pools of residual water.
“The far-future Earth will be very hostile to life,” Mr O’Malley-James said. “It will be restricted to pockets of liquid water, perhaps at cooler higher altitudes or in caves.
And you thought WE had it tough!
Quite a bad picture painted by this expert—and many others.
The immediate future may not feature boiling oceans.. but we do have a water crisis coming, quite possibly a food crisis, and a changing earth making some rough weather happen in places that never had it.
That mid-life crisis is never easy..
The Lone Ranger is in some big danger:
Wood told the AP: “I love Mike Meyers. He didn’t have a long shelf-life because I didn’t love all the iterations of that character. He’s a great rendering of the boogey man. Jack Nicholson’s character in “The Shining” is extraordinary. I tend to find characters from a more rooted, real place to be more frightening and unsettling. What happens to Reagan in “The Exorcist” I love and find horrifyingly scary. Freddy Kruger is more fun. He becomes a jokester which is fun to watch. That’s another angle with horror.”
Remember that best selling book called PROOF OF HEAVEN written by Dr. Eben Alexander? I
f not, it sold two million copies and Dr. Alexander appeared on media ranging from radio to print to television..
In the book, Alexander says he had experiences during a seven-day coma that proved heaven existed .. Those claims and that book is now being challenged, even now with hospital officials stating that a number of examples of dramatization and ‘artistic license’ being taken.. Alexander says he stands by his story..
Wonder what Oprah will think!?
The Loch Ness Monster mystery has been explained, according to one researcher.. Italian geologist Luigi Piccardi says that underground rumbling and bubbles are not the monster, but instead evidence of a fault line under Lake Loch Ness..
If the good expert is right, I am upset. I’d much rather believe that a dinosaur like creature still swims on this planet..
The future is now: This article describes how a new device will soon turn transportation windows into ads by beaming sound into your brains .. this is not science fiction—and the news is being reported in mainstream sources. You will be receiving advertisements without even being aware of what it happening.. It’s all about money..
Suzanne Moore: The internet is being snooped on and CCTV is everywhere. How did we come to accept that this is just the way things are?
Oh sheeple. You are all so funny. And fraught with dangerous thinking.
Vatican says Pope John Paul II will get sainthood.. Pope Francis signed the decree Friday morning, the Vatican said..
This was predicted, and expected.
Pope John Paul was fast-tracked to sainthood.
I still have not seen reporting done on the ‘miracles’ the Catholic Church will attribute to the deceased Pope..
MTHATHA, South Africa (Reuters) - A feud between factions of Nelson Mandela’s family descended into soap opera farce on Thursday when his grandson and heir, Mandla, accused relatives of adultery and milking
This is actually an interesting but upsetting report.. as Nelson Mandela rests on his death bed, his family feud is getting headlines across the planet.
Mandela, the time traveler himself, is facing impending death again..
Happy Fourth

You read that headline correct, radio great Art Bell has now joined Twitter. He even joking this Facebook page, but finally he has arrived into 2013 now that he is excepted the newest form of short phrases and brief new snippets..
Meanwhile the website artbell.com maintains three red white and blue exclamation points, causing some to wonder if the unveiling of the site will take place on 4 July.
The matter what the plans are you can be sure of one thing: the suits at Premiere radio are cautiously watching from a safe distance..
Life can be scary.. so as a result adults attempt to often limit those needless scares from a child’s already frightened youth. Until a grocery store sells coloring books featuring macabre images from SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and PSYCHO..
Also included with the bloody pages: HELLRAISER, THE SHINING, CLOCKWORK ORANGE..
The store says the books were for adults, but placed in the children’s section by mistake..
Which brings up the even more profound question in all of this: They have coloring books for adults?
Turns out they do. If you want to buy the, go here to AMAZON. No need for Tesco when you can get them direct.. right..?
…but where will they find the bodies..
If you want to see why Coast to Coast AM with George Noory is a shameful radio program, look no further than Noory ‘singing’ an Elvis song in Canada..
I am a supporter of freedom of speech. But I’d certainly favor a travel restriction and have the United States not allow Noory back into the country for crimes against the sense of hearing.
Great job residents of Pennsylvania, always finding a way to make your stay proud……
That’s right, the government is tracking in real-time… Actually let me rephrase that, contractors hired by the government are tracking in real-time. And therein lies the dilemma in a free democratic republic.
Happy Fourth of July.

We have been told that THE CONJURING is ‘based on a true story’ of paranormal investigators and their terror at a farmhouse.. we now Well, HORROR-MOVIES has the ‘true story’ of the Perron family and their tale of THE CONJURING ..
Here is another article from PISCAN on Ed and Lorraine Warren, the paranormal investigators that the CONJURING focuses on..
And for that, here are the Warrens. I wonder how much of this story is just buzz as opposed to reality.. I cannot question someone’s perception, as it’s their perception.. but I can certainly ponder the inclusion of the almighty dollar and the fact that, in the end, the stream of images and sounds running across our screens are just that, sounds and images.. entertainment.. and most likely a little additional salt and pepper for a relatively dull meal.
This is the deadliest day for firefighters in 30 years..
The “hotshot” firefighters were forced to deploy their emergency fire shelters - tent-like structures meant to shield firefighters from flames and heat - when they were caught near the central Arizona town of Yarnell, state forestry spokesman Art Morrison told The Associated Press. The fire also destroyed an estimated 200 homes, Morrison said. Dry grass near the communities of Yarnell and Glen Isla fed the fast-moving blaze, which was whipped up by wind and raced through the homes, he said.
Temperatures have been hot all weekend—the West especially with places like Vegas and Arizona soaring above 115 degrees..
The nation is baking.
Nature is cruel.. we see that firsthand today with these events..
But humanity is strong..
While we never will defeat nature’s wrath, we can at least battle it. Which is just what these firefighters were doing…
"To Whom it May Concern: Day 8 of our captivity. Rations are low … so is ink and paper. They’ve printed enough copies of their demands to kill an entire forest of a Mayan Colony in Central America. This my final note, is written in potato chip grease but it too is running low as I licked the bag for the last crumb.
The leaders (whoever they may be) said their demands will be met today or else … if only I had a dime each time I heard that one. We all came here as leaders but none of us have enough followers to stage a coup … but I’m working on it.
The caucus chairwoman appears to be their spokeswoman but she’s banged her gavel so much it’s in splinters and she’s almost hoarse. We’re told we will be “brought in” (reconvene according to them) to say our peice but it’s all lies. They keep moving the appointed time. 11 AM. No! 12:30 PM. Just kidding 2:00 O’clock. And by 8 PM people are in tears.
The gentleman from Hershey says he has no more candy but I know he went home last night. So I don’t believe him. He’s like my great Aunt Ida in Buffalo, she always had candy, then one day she said she didn’t but I was free to look and there it was at the bottom of her purse an unwrapped chocolate bar, once you wiped the lint off of it you could read the brand. Ex.Lax, a little piece of heaven … candy for adults, as I knew it to be. I was old enough, and garsh darn it I was man enough. Something inside me changed that day. I was a little less trusting of the world. Much like I am now.
They try to break us down but it is in vain because the other hostages are so much more strong (head strong that is). Me I’m willing to comprise but I found out that’s a dirty word in these parts. So I close my eyes and sing in my head that great tune of Bocephus “A Country Boy Can Survive” … “I can skin a buck, I can run a trout line” … I think to myself, I CAN DO THAT! I can skin a buck but I don’t know what a trout line is … the acid drainage from the ole coal mines near my hometown killed all our trout. “My grandfather taught me how to live off the land” HE DID! I’m telling you I’m not lying. “I got me a friend in New York City” … I do, I got me a friend in New York City! A country boy can survive!
I was singing “I Will Survive” by the one and only Gloria Gaynor but I found myself singing out loud … then suddenly the gentleman (whose name we do not speak), overheard me and I got scared, I mean really really scared. So I started signing that great hymn “Love Lifted Me” soon a majority of the others joined in and we drowned them out AND just when it was about to turn into an episode of Glee we were silenced but late breaking negotiations.
I hear things are just as bad across the Rotunda. I’m told my good friendDaylin Leach led a TP raid on the headquarters (corner of Maclay and Front) … but once the first fellow was tasered they all retreated. But I was impressed because most stayed behind in their private cafeteria.
The stench is overwhelming, I must go. Tell my mother I love her.
