Bloodbath in Cairo.. Egyptian security forces shoot dead dozens of pro-Mursi supporters

This is how Reuters captured the moment in time:

Men in helmets and black police fatigues fired on crowds gathered before dawn on the fringes of a round-the-clock sit-in near a mosque in northeast Cairo, Mursi’s Muslim Brotherhood said.

This claim is coming from the Muslim Brotherhood about the violence: 220 killed and 4,500 injured. Is it not confirmed at this point, but the potential fatalities are being heard around the world..

Obviously a developing story that is sure to change numbers wise..

Mine does. But as the best I can describe, this is what occurred today:

News from Egypt was instantly interesting today when rumors surfaced that Hosni Mubarak would resign as President.. confimed later by Leon Panetta of the CIA.. Later in the day, Mubarak did NOT resign but instead, the Vice President of Egypt told protesters to go home.. Nothing to see here. Keep moving. Until Friday, when protesters in Egypt plan a large demonstration on Hosni’s palace. The ball is in the military’s court now..
Now.. why? Well that’s anyone’s guess.

We seem to be caught off guard on this one..

The protesters are not backing down, still speaking out, and want Mubarak gone.. Mubarak isn’t gone.  .  . And the crowd gets loud. What’s next..?

That plus journalists are being threatened for simply showing what is occurring.. The world is watching — or at least trying to … Images on TV of Brian Williams from NBC News using a flashlight to light his own face to report the events of Egypt are simply surreal. We are watching this live on TV and the Internet. This is history. And as I’ve said before, living through history is never pleasant..

These nets, along with many others, facing threats in Egypt.. Things are seemingly escalating beyond control on the streets of rage.

This television is rated FS for freaking scary.. Dramatic scenes are unfolding on live TV and real time Internet. But living through history never was pleasant, these events included. Prayers for Cairo and Egypt as battle lines get drawn and rational protest gets drowned out by madness in the streets..
