WAR.. what is it good for.
Al-Shabab PROMISES another bloodbath in Kenya.. This promise came before the body parts were cleaned and the blood was dry at the University that saw the mayhem and murder. Almost 150 were dead, many more injured.. Christians were targeted .. the terrorists, in this situation, seemed to have struck a mighty blow against the fabric of Kenya and the safety of the nation.. Another article: Somalia’s Shabab promises to turn Kenyan cities red with blood..
The friend of my enemy is my friend’s enemy’s friend who is my enemy. Confusion over YEMEN. Whose side is anyone on? In the Mid East, it’s a constant chess match that normally turns into checkers when one player decides to blow things up .. In the matter of Yemen, we are fighting alongside of people who are fighting in other nations.. We are friendly there with people we are not other places. We are simply setting ourselves up for failure.. This experiment of constant war needs to end.

Threat of ground incursion looms over Yemen
And not only a ground incursion, but a regional war .. and I still say World War III of sorts. It just won’t play out in the same fashion the other two did.. And quite frankly it may already be occurring. So much of this theater is just that.. a big chess game that we are told is checkers..

"Michael Crowley in POLITICO writes: "Barack Obama faces a slew of Middle East crises that some call the worst in a generation, as new chaos from Yemen to Iraq — along with deteriorating U.S.-Israeli relations — is confounding the president’s efforts to stabilize the region and strike a nuclear deal with Iran."
West may be caving on the Iran deal.. Adding some some more straws to the camel’s back: Saudi Arabia wants nukes. But will still not let women drive.
And this is the world we live in.

10,000 US troops will be remaining in Afghanistan through the end of this year, clearly no drawdown will take place as earlier promised
President Obama said this is not a return to combat..
He also said that he will bring troops home by the end of 2016..
The troops were slated to leave Afghanistan very soon, but now that Afghan president asked for troops to stay longer, the United States has agreed..
The war goes on. We just stopped it war.

MAUREEN DOWN HITS OBAMA: "THE GOLF ADDRESS"
You can read her full ultra-sarcastic op-ed in the NEW YORK TIMES..She writes as President Obama .. I picked some of the money quotes worth reading:
THIS:
Now we are engaged in a great civil divide in Ferguson, which does not even have a golf course, and that’s why I had a “logistical” issue with going there
This:
I’ve heard all the carping that I should be in the Situation Room droning and plinking the bad folks. I know some people think I should go to Ferguson. Don’t they understand that I’ve delegated the Martin Luther King Jr. thing to Eric Holder? Plus, Valerie Jarrett and Al Sharpton have it under control.
Another:
I know it doesn’t look good to have pictures of me grinning in a golf cart juxtaposed with ones of James Foley’s parents crying, and a distraught David Cameron rushing back from his vacation after only one day, and the Pentagon news conference with Chuck Hagel and General Dempsey on the failed mission to rescue the hostages in Syria.
And finally:
We here highly resolve that these golfing greats shall not have competed in vain, especially poor Tiger, and that this nation, under par, shall have a new birth of freedom to play the game that I have become unnaturally obsessed with, and that golf of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth. So help me Golf.
A few things to remember—and in all fairness, one major thing to remember: Obama has spent less time on vacation then his predecessors .. It may not seem so, but it’s true.
What does not look good, however, is a nation at war with itself churning and ISIS or ISIL gaining and beheading Americans while your sway away like Meryl in SIGNS.
Also, if you read the full op-ed by Dowd, take a peak at the comments section.. already very angry pingbacks are happening and equally angry critical comments at Dowd’s obvious sarcastic criticism of the President..
Minus away the obvious political debate that will come from such a column and post.. and enter this: The president, some will say, is solitary by nature. Obama is to himself.. often appearing aloof and even in another world.. The isolation of the office has been spoken about by a number of Presidents in the past—and the argument has been made that a vacation clears the mind of a Chief Executive constantly mired in crisis..
But ti just looked awful to see the President hitting up the links as the Foley family wept for their deceased son—the same way it looked terrible for President Bush to say terrorism will not stand, followed by ‘now watch this shot’ as he too chipped away on a golf course..

Bloodbath in Cairo.. Egyptian security forces shoot dead dozens of pro-Mursi supporters
This is how Reuters captured the moment in time:
Men in helmets and black police fatigues fired on crowds gathered before dawn on the fringes of a round-the-clock sit-in near a mosque in northeast Cairo, Mursi’s Muslim Brotherhood said.
This claim is coming from the Muslim Brotherhood about the violence: 220 killed and 4,500 injured. Is it not confirmed at this point, but the potential fatalities are being heard around the world..
Obviously a developing story that is sure to change numbers wise..

Troubling news..
Syrians are fleeing from war at a rate not seen since the Rwandan genocide..
That comes to us from the United Nations..
According to the UN, the number of people fleeing the conflict in Syria has escalated to an average of 6,000 a day during 2013 - a rate not seen since the genocide in Rwanda nearly two decades ago, U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres said on Tuesday… And if anyone remembers those dark days in Rwanda, go back through amnesia lane and treat yourself to some horrid history from the mid 90s..

THE THIN 'RED LINE' HAS APPARENTLY BEEN CROSSED IN SYRIA
The UK and the USA are now in agreement that Syria has used chemical weapons against ‘rebels’ in Syria. THE NEW YORK TIMES reports ..
So what does this mean?
Will we take action?
Stinky wants to..
Will we not?
War?
