NEW YORK TIMES splashes headline: Obama Pursuing Climate Accord in Lieu of Treaty

The NEW YORK TIMES correctly points out this:

But under the Constitution, a president may enter into a legally binding treaty only if it is approved by a two-thirds majority of the Senate.

And it then goes on to say how President Obama will get around that pesky rule:

To sidestep that requirement, President Obama’s climate negotiators are devising what they call a “politically binding” deal that would “name and shame” countries into cutting their emissions

Is anyone else as creeped out by the New York Times magazine cover of Hillary Clinton? It’s bizarre and weird.

The Old Gray Lady just ain't what she used to be

The New York TIMES is now the latest of many to fall for a spoof of real news as presented by the always hilarious ONION.. The New York Times’ April 17 mini-retrospective on the “original teen-girl tabloid,” Tiger Beat, included a sampling of the magazine’s covers throughout the years..

The TIMES peeled the onion back though and issued this statement:

A series of pictures last Sunday of covers of the magazine Tiger Beat, with an article about how the original teen-girl tabloid has remained virtually unchanged since its inception in 1965, erroneously included a parody cover, produced by the satiric newspaper The Onion, that featured a picture of President Obama

The latest concern is radioactive food. The government in Japan admits that radioactive spinach and water has been found. It appears to be more severe than just toxins in close proximity, as Japan has admitted.. The New York TIMES is reporting on the problem of tainted food being found up to 90 miles away, showcasing that the events have exploded into a crisis far beyond the proportions first admitted to by officials in the country days ago.

Officials say there is no cause for alarm. But radioactivity in water in Tokyo? Food 90 miles away? … It’s cause for concern..

But not for all. The TIMES reports:

"A handful of vegetable-shop owners in Tokyo said they were concerned about the report, but continued to sell vegetables from Fukushima and Ibaraki because they had not been told to stop."

Green spinach. Growing only greener by the moment..

Take a grain of salt with this, but it's interesting nonetheless..

Matt Drudge, who seems to be able to read tomorrow’s New York TIMES today almost every day, reports this on his site today:

NYT PLANS SUNDAY EXCLUSIVE ON ORIGINS OF ‘STUXNET WORM’, WHICH IS BELIEVED TO HAVE INFECTED IRAN NUKE PLANT… DEVELOPING

It will be fascinating to see the TIMES’ write up on it, and details behind it.. truly an interesting and somewhat frightening story ..
