Wikileaks released audiotapes on Monday purporting to reveal that appointees of the Bush and Obama administrations corruptly misappropriated funds intended to encourage the hiring of disabled people.

The tapes are intended to provide evidence that billions of dollars meant for disabled people went instead to defence contractors and other major corporations without large proportions of disabled employees.

The accusations centre on a government programme called AbilityOne, which awards about $3 billion annually in government contracts. Most of that money is distributed by SourceAmerica, a non-profit.

Our couplies..
And doublies..
Or whatever elseies we will be coming up withie..

Have we surrendered our privacy for the fleeting moment of vain attention?  Or is this just a product of the future being now? 

It’s a big big world in a biometric land..

Tin foil hats to get re-fitted with today's news

I wrote a short post on March 19 2014 about TIME magazine and various other sources laughing at medical conspiracy theories.. That day those news orgs were poking fun at anyone who thought African Americans were injected with HIV. I pointed out facts of the past to illustrate why such conspiracy theories were held dear in some minds, such as info that the government injected some with syphilis and plutonium..  

And now today, there is real to believe that real medical conspiracies continue.. The government has been performing dangerous experimentation, using dangerous pollutants on human beings in tests..

According to the information, the tests took place between the year 2010 and 2011. here is how the DAILY CALLER sums it up:

The EPA conducted five experiments in 2010 and 2011 to look at the health effects of particulate matter, or PM, and diesel exhaust on humans. The IG’s report found that the EPA did get consent forms from 81 people in five studies. But the IG also found that “exposure risks were not always consistently represented.”

“Further, the EPA did not include information on long-term cancer risks in its diesel exhaust studies’ consent forms,” the IG’s report noted. “An EPA manager considered these long-term risks minimal for short-term study exposures” but “human subjects

And this:

No one was killed during the test, but a source close to the issue says that one test subject — a 58-year-old obese woman with medical problems and a family history of heart disease — was ordered to go to the hospital by the EPA after being exposed to “ambient air pollution particles” in October 2010.

It always fascinates me that so many can get angry about testing unsuspecting animals but turn a blind eye to humans being subjected to dangerous experimentation?  OH.. and they tested this on children, too.  CHILDREN. And then when people rightly point out real medical conspiracies, they are put down as conspiracy mongering tin foil hat wearing sky is falling nutjobs?

Until you answer that, I will be adjusting my tin foil hat to encompass the new news of this medical conspiracy non-theory.

There’s an old mine in Pennsylvania where the U.S. processes federal retirements. By hand. On paper. In 2014.

You need to read this story for yourself.. it’s about a federal government office in Boyers, PA, employing about 600 or so people. That isn’t the weird part—though if you’ve ever been to Boyers you may think it is..

The really odd story is this: The office is 230 feet under the ground. Elevator music plays constantly.. It’s not top secret, it’s just ….230 feet under the grown because. And even  more: The old mine’s tunnels *now an office* are filled with 28,000 file cabinets of paper. All of the work done, as a matter of fact, is on paper. All by hand. Nothing technological about this underground cavern of hell..

The Washington POST reports this:

The existence of a mine full of federal paperwork is not well known: Even within the federal workforce, it is often treated as an urban legend, mythic and half-believed­. “That crazy cave,” said Aneesh Chopra, who served as President Obama’s chief technology officer.

Mythic.. unbelievable. But real. And filled with 28,000 FILE CABINETS OF PAPER.

Get this ONE: 

The staff working in the mine has increased by at least 200 people in the past five years. And the cost of processing each claim has increased from $82 to $108, as total spending on the retirement system reached $55.8 million.

Are you beyond shocked yet?

It gets better.. From the aspect of human interaction, this is the amazing part: These people who work here seem to be miserable and filled with darkness. During the cold winter time, they don’t actually see light. They go to work in the dark, go 200+ feet under the ground, and go home in the dark.. the POST points out, 

So there is a pizza guy, with a security clearance, who arrives every day at 11:30 a.m. Another vendor, Randy Armagost, trucks in hot lunches and an assortment of at least four deep-fried items every day.

“People are crabby. They’re miserable. I mean, you can’t blame them. They never see any sunlight,” Armagost said. “I’m only down there for 2 ½ hours a day, and I can’t stand it.”

Even the pizza guy hates it.

The Associated Press reports on the story as though it should be read as the last news bit on a 11pm local news, after weather and sports.. A fun little tale about the government testing 100 Americans over the next year to see just what happens when the flu is sent directly into their bodies..

What I wonder, though, is the darker side of this … How many times are experiments done on Americans without knowledge?  Sure, I have my tin foil hat appropriately adjusted. But when I see a story like this drop, I always question is they are trying to get something like this more into the mainstream for some reason

Government gets its first three subjects from Schuylkill County

A local story of interest to me, and maybe even you.. Three babies have been born in Schuylkill County, PA, and are going to take part in a decades-long government study on children..

The government study, according to the report, intends on asking not why children get sick, but instead why some children are healthier than others..

My wife and I were offered the chance to stick Ayden into the study a few weeks before he was born, but we declined. I am not accusing anyone of anything nefarious.. I just didn’t have the interest and maybe even the paranoia of untrustworthiness for any government study that will watch my child until the drinking age of 21..

As far as health? Schuylkill County!? If you’ve never been here, you’ll most likely not know it’s the home of a vast array of abandoned former coal mines.

Nothing unhealthy in the ground there, right?

And it’s the home of a sulfur creek that many have labeled the ‘shit crick’.. Yes, I said crick. Local word..

And this county of Coal Speaker home base is also the home of a rare cancer that has been seen more and more in the region.

So I hope the 21-year-long study goes well. I’ll be 51 by the time we find out why certain kids are sicker than others.
