Effigies of him are now being beaten and beheaded in weird fits of rage.. all the while those opposed to him decry the rage at his rallies.

I want this election to be over as soon as possible. Maybe it’s the most important in history (though we hear that every four years) but it certainly will be the most divisive and potentially unhealthy for the nation..

Age vs propaganda

Let me first say, politics is a blood sport and I really have lost interest of the years. It amazes me that we teach our children not to bully each other, and laws are passed stopping them, but yet politicians have free reign to destroy each other and use NSA secrets or back alley Sallys to their advantage. The more dirt the better.. the more chances a politician can be destroyed in front of the media spotlight.. And then the other guy wins.

The big political news tonight: Hillary Clinton wiped her server clean *(come on, who didn’t see this coming? )* The bigger story to me: POLITICO found the most unflattering photo of Hill they could find for their story..

Today’s daily doodle.. a puffy and ply Ted Cruz. I don’t think America is ready for his jelly. His politics are to Cruzilicious for us baby.

Cruzing to a bruising

I don’t put much stock in the chances of Ted Cruz becoming our next president.. But his candidacy will lead to lots of fun and jokes.. Already has.. 

But there is one thing that makes a bigger difference to me than him even being from Canada: 

After 9/11, he stopped listening to rock music.

Hunter Schwartz with the Washington POST reports,

In an interview with CBS News Tuesday, Cruz said he grew up listening to classic rock, but became a country fan after 9/11 because of how musicians responded to the attacks.
"I actually find this intellectually curious, but on 9/11, I didn’t like how rock music responded, and country music collectively, the way they responded, it resonated with me, and I just have to say just at a gut level, I had an emotional reaction that said these are my people," he said.
Country music was very patriotic following 9/11. Songs like “Only in America” by Brooks & Dunn, “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” by Alan Jackson, and “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” by Toby Keith were all hits on Billboard’s Country chart.

The POST article goes on to point out the rock songs that became popular after 9/11, like Bruce Springsteen’s THE RISING, Wu Tang Clan’s RULES, and Neil Young’s LET’S ROLL..

It’s not being said, but I think this whole Cruz quote is based off of what happened to the Dixie Chicks. Remember that fiasco? Freedom fries eating American burned their albums to protest their protesting of the Iraq war? Let’s be honest… there were two periods after 9/11: 1) The initial unification of America and chance to change the world. 2) The Iraq war run-up.. Which America is Cruz talking about?

But yet, there is a part of me that wants to discredit this and completely ignore the bullying aspect. She was a part of history. As was her dress. The 1990s was the Seinfeld era, the decade about nothing.

Ted Cruz looks awkward.. but when he’s saying his typical campaign pick up lines but getting no love, he looks like the desperate guy at a bar at 2am.. Creepy and going home alone in his van with curtains on the window.

If you want a real change, vote for an atheist in 2016

Christian website are proclaiming a bit of a victory in light of a new poll which seems to show that Americans would take a gay, drug addicted, cheating candidate for president over an atheist in 2016..

But forgive me Lord, but I don’t see the newsworthy nature of this poll..

After all, we had the follolwing the USA: James Buchanan, who was probably the nation’s first gay president.. John Kennedy, who reportedly was so high on meth one night that he pranced naked around the lobby .. Bill Clinton, who did not inhale. Obama, who admitted he did. And an endless trove of presidents who cheated and lied their way through scandals. All of them were Christians. Men of God.

Maybe an atheist would do us well for four to eight years.

If Hillary loses in ‘16 she’ll reprise the role of MRS DOUBTFIRE in the movie’s sequel.. No makeup required.. Geez over-the-Hill. I am happy you’re a grandma to be, and certainly I don’t want to rain on your parade of shoes.. But go with the ‘old lady perm’… That would be cool.
