This is truly an amazing and disturbing report coming from NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC by Alexa Keefe .. It’s about Chernobyl and the horrid aftermath of the nuclear meltdown that took place there last century.

Earlier today I posted a big of a reprise of the 35th anniversary of the Harrisburg PA partial meltdown at Three Mile Island.. I mentioned how Chernobyl came a bit later. But just giving it a mention didn’t do justice as it is deserved.. Chernobyl was horrible, just awful. And some of the before and after photos in the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC report  show just how awful it was..

Nearly a dozen Hanford employees sick from unknown fumes

And this story still fails to make national news and get any coverage it deserves.. unbelievable.

This is a nuclear wreck and it should be getting headlines from all sources.

Instead, radiated crickets are all that is heard..

Nuclear Event in USA on Friday, 21 March, 2014, Berwick PA

This from RSOE EDIS:

The PPL Corp. nuclear reactor under federal scrutiny has been shut down after the discovery of a leaky water valve. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said workers found the leak during a startup of Unit 2 at PPL’s Susquehanna nuclear facility near Berwick. The reactor had been shut off for maintenance work on its turbines. PPL said today that the reactor was turned off so the valve could be fixed. Unit 2 is one of two roughly 1,300-megawatt reactors Allentown-based PPL operates at its Susquehanna Steam Electric Station near Berwick, Pa. It is one of nine commercial reactors nationwide that the federal commission listed as having a degraded level of performance last year. The listing is due to unplanned shutdowns in 2012 and 2013. The Unit 1 reactor remains at full power. Commission spokesman Neil Sheehan said inspectors will monitor repairs.

So .. nothing to see here?

A must read for all who are concerned about the world and all who doubt officials who “officially” tell us that Fukushima is nothing to worry about.. these headlines tonight are entered onto the record for your consideration and thought..

A news account from CTV says that reactor 4 at Fukushima poses a major threat to the world and another says that the worst is yet to come..

Japan continues to insist that the nuclear pool is stable and the country’s leaders claim it could withstand another major quake.

Consider these facts, too: Japan is dumping about a thousand tons per day of radioactive water into the Pacific ocean, and a new report says the Pacific won’t do much to dilute the water in the great sea..

Yes indeed.

Nothing to see here..

Nuclear annihilation is just on my mind tonight..

Early this evening I wrote about the new CHERNOBYL DIARIES causing controversy. Moments ago I wrote about the Fukushima nightmare…

And I just ran across this little snippet of a quote from Michio Kaku on Chernobyl—his words in my opinion are much scarier than any horror flick

You know the Chernobyl core is still melting into the earth? It’s still melting into the earth.

It’s a never ending nightmare.

Eventually they’re going to have to put concrete under the melted core to prevent it from hitting groundwater and creating perhaps a steam explosion

That is pretty frightening to contemplate… don’t you think?

Nuke way of life

While trying to figure out more about the radioactive leak at thr California Nuclear Power Plant, I came across another story that sadly goes under reported (and hardly reported in America at all): There is another radioactive leak at Fukushima.. Officials say not to worry…so I am worrying big time. It’s getting deep here on the planet earth..

The news is busy tonight telling people they don't need to take potassium iodide..

But I must ask, are they really surprised people are making runs to health stores for the little pills that are meant to protect the thyroid against problems? Are they really surprised people are worried about radiation.. And are they really surprised that people don’t 100% believe government statements that the ‘radiation will not reach California’?? ..
