I think we all need to be paying attention to this story.. Not only is humanity having a terrible time in Africa where Ebola has resumed killing, but it’s now a burdensome mission for all nations to stop the spread.

We are more connected than ever.. we travel more than any time in history. And Ebola is as deadly as it has ever been—it appears that it’s newfound mission is to spread beyond the borders of the nations where it dwells..

Maybe go back and watch that deplorably bad 1995 movie OUTBREAK. Graphics are bad and shoulder pads were big.. but it’s a lesson on what we do not want to have happen on this planet.

News was made this weekend when it was released that Jay-Z is a bling wearing member of the Five Percent Nation. The New York POST story was pretty sensational regarding the whole event.. so I went to a less sensational source. NPR reported about the Five Percent Nation in 2006. This is what NPR reported are the tenets of the belief structure:

But back to the other train wreck of thought: The Illuminati. We have been hearing this rumor for years that Jay-Z is a proud member of the illuminated. The rumors have gone as far as saying that Mr. Z spread the belief to Beyonce.. And as a result, she became Sasha Fierce on stage—in interviews she seems to truly believe that this devilish personality exists within her.

This is a judge for yourself kind of story—I think you need to do your own digging and figure out the reality or fiction of 1) the Illuminati and 2) Jay-Z’s seemingly real knowledge about the occult and secret societies.. 

I just know this: Jay-Z and Beyonce are really rich. Sasha Fierce is too. 
And they are both plain weird and creepy…

Discussions over grilled food

I had a wonderful free flowing discussion with friends yesterday .. we were invited to a very early spring barbecue.. great food. And even better conversation.. We spoke about the missing flight 370, we talked about conspiracy theories, 9/11, God or the lack of one, and the meaning of life and whether mediums have the ability to talk to the dead. It was all of my interests spiraled into one great chat with good people—add to that chicken and homemade macaroni and cheese.

I did come to a realization, though.. During the conversation, others gave adamant opinions about their personal beliefs—their thoughts on what God is and if there is one, along with any other theory of mythological or paranormal subject matter. As for me? I just don’t know.

I don’t really know anything.

I read the theories, I see the information presented by experts, I know of the books, the Bibles, the Korans, the priests, and the ghostly tales.. I am aware of the Planet Nibiru.. I know that aliens met Dwight Eisenhower and told him there’s no God.. I know that George Noory has the worst toupee on earth.

But I just don’t know what my own opinion is.. I look at others who often say that they have the answers as closed-minded.. I often categorize Christian zealots in the same bin as atheists—neither allows much thought opposed to their own..

But as for me? I just don’t know..

Opinions are so often existent only to be proven wrong.. If I say that Flight 370 landed safely there’s the chance it didn’t.. and really, I just don’t know!

I don’t know!
We don’t know!

And though we don’t know, we will endlessly fall victim to the parade of opinionmakers, and haphazardly jump on the blowhard bandwagon of hot air. No one on that train knows, really. They just don’t admit it.

Is there a God? I really don’t know.
Are there aliens? I don’t know.
Is anything real?

Is anything real…That is the question Truman Burbank asked in one of my favorite movies, THE TRUMAN SHOW. The answer he got was that he was real.

Maybe that’s it.. nothing is really real.. except us. And we waste too much time debating and creating wars about Gods we have never seen and beliefs we cannot defend with fact.

I want there to be a God.
And aliens. I’d rather there be no planet X, though.

But Truman Burbank? I just know he’s real..

While the family was getting ready for work and day care today, I overheard my son Ayden tell my wife Tara, “Mommy, get daddy I want to tell him something.”  I melted with joy at his innocent little voice, almost whispering to my wife.. I was sure of it: He was proud of something. Maybe he built something, stacked pillows the right way, or had a profound thought about the meaning of TOM AND JERRY KIDS..

I walked back, smiling with anticipation..

My son Ayden was set for school…coat on, hat on..one hand in his pocket and juice in the other. He laughed when he saw me.. I said, “Yes Ayden?”

Ayden replied, 

"Daddy, you have a big ass."

Shock and awe.. I wanted to laugh out loud.. But Tara and I just looked at him, half smiling, and said, “where did you learn that?” He said, “I don’t know, but it’s a funny word.”

He is right.. it is a funny word.
I guess in his defense, it is in the Bible, right?

The 10 to 15 second delay theory comes as a result of a new study, which says that instead of seeing things as they are right now our brain captures an average of the past 10 seconds to create a more calm state…

Maybe people who say that they have a different frequency of existence actually see things as they are right now, or maybe people who are schizophrenic actually don’t have this delay mechanism?

Very creepy stuff.. a deer in the headlights.. But the headlights not from a car.. but maybe a galaxy far far away?

Series of small earthquakes rock Oklahoma in record seismic activity--second weekend now

We have been watching Oklahoma for a few weeks now, a lot of earthquakes have taken place but apparently finally news media is noticing..

REUTERS reports this:

One earthquake recorded at 3.8 magnitude by the U.S. Geological Survey rocked houses in several communities around central Oklahoma at 7:42 a.m. local time. Another about two hours earlier in the same part of the state, north of Oklahoma City, was recorded at 2.9 magnitude, USGS said.

Those two were preceded by two more, at 2.6 magnitude, and 2.5 magnitude, that also rolled the landscape in central Oklahoma early Saturday morning. A 3.0 magnitude tremor struck late Friday night in that area as well, following a 3.4 magnitude hit Friday afternoon.

Austin Holland, a seismologist with the Oklahoma Geological Survey who tracks earthquake activity for the USGS, said the earthquake activity in the state is soaring.

WNEP posted a video from their ‘vault’ from 1983 .. I was three years old at the time WNEP originally aired the news footage.. I lived in the town that was on fire from underneath—it still is and I don’t remain there, but if you know anything of the town about 7 or so people still do.

I am glad you support Texas using horrible means to put someone to death. WHat they did to Tommy Sells was brutal, and no nation that calls itself God fearing should do it

I am completely aware of the questionable methods of death that Texas used in this matter.. and I know The state refused to say where it obtained the deadly dose of pentobarbital

And I am completely aware of the moral problems that come with capital punishment—a reason I really don’t support it.

But when I heard enough and read enough about Sells and his crimes, it led me down a road where the last thing I’d show him was compassion.

His murders disturbed me like no other.. Maybe it’s due to the fact I listened to a radio show about them while it was raining and foggy out my window.. or maybe because the potential murder of an entire family just tugs at my heart and disturbs my soul.

Tommy Lynn Sells is dead.

I am very deeply troubled about the death penalty.. I so often think it’s something we should not do, so often think it’s wrong for a nation to still perform ritualistic executions of murderers or criminals..But we do. 

Today, though, I am not weeping for Tommy Lynn Sells.

Sells was put to death in Texas despite last minute attempts to delay..

Sells was one of the more brutal serial killers—and someone that until very recently I really knew nothing of. I am actually a little surprised that our media didn’t tout this man’s horrid crimes as much as they did other serial killers throughout history. Sells ranks up there with the most insane of evildoers to grace our society.. he murdered men, women, and children. He did it without regard or concern.. 

I actually learned the most about Sells from Dave Schrader’s DARKNESS RADIO.. Schrader interviewed author Diane Fanning about Sells.. The horrific nature of his crimes disturbed me to my core. There is a laundry list of murders committed and also some he is suspected of.

Sells is suspected of killing the Dardeen family in 1987--the story of these murders is beyond comparison.. if Sells did it, that means he killed a father, a 3-year-old, a mother—who gave birth during her death. The premature baby girl was then savagely beaten and killed, too.. 

This is one case that made me question the death penalty—but in the other way. It made me wonder if my opposition to it was just a fanciful dream that people are ‘decent’ … indecent people like Sells maybe don’t deserve oxygen.. 

Regardless of that, Sells is dead now.

Committing Miriam Carey

Back in October 2013, when Washington DC was at a standstill with false rumors of an active shooter, Miriam Carey was in a car being chased by police. Eventually police killed Carey while her child was in the back seat. 

She made a wrong turn.
And was shot dead.

Congress applauded.

There were unanswered questions then and even COAL SPEAKER was shocked that so little attention was given to the death of Carey after she was killed.. In December I called her death the most under reported and BADLY reported story of 2013..

Today we learn this: Though people were told that she was a lunatic on drugs when she was killed, there were no drugs in her system. Most appalling, though: She was shot in the back of the head.

That’s right.. the back of the head..

There is video of the event, showing cops firing several rounds in Carey’s body..

But that fatal wound? The back of the head..

And Congress applauded.

I was shocked tonight to see a story making the rounds saying that Chelsea Handler is in talks to be the next host of a late night show as David Letterman plans his exit from the network—maybe not Letterman’s slot, but something.

The reason for my surprise: In March 2013 I nominated Chelsea Handler for late night! That’s right.. I voted my confidence in her to host a show and said she should be considered for Leno’s then soon to be open position instead of Jimmy Fallon.

And I cannot believe March 2013 is already beyond a year ago… 

I wrote this in 2013:

Actually.. I think it’s time for a woman to take over some air time on late night TV.. And no, not Oprah. I think the best choice for the future of late night would be Chelsea Handler. I am serious about that. She would bring a creative feeling to late night—and if she’s put into the Fallon slot, she would be able to continue her irreverent style of comedy.. 

She didn’t get Fallon’s. She may get Letterman’s.

What I wrote in 2013 still applies in ‘14.. She’s primed, she’s rested. And ready.

Is America?

Piers Morgan wasn’t.
And that’s another reason she gets my vote.

And then there is this new information: The temperature at Yellowstone’s lakes is +20C (above normal)..60 quakes were registered in the area with the increased water temperatures..

The bottom line is that David Letterman is 67, has a young child, and in all honesty, stopped being cutting edge and funny years ago..

In a sense, Letterman should not have renewed his contract in 2013. It seemed like he gave up a few years back..

But I will still say in his time, and in my own youth, Letterman was the funniest person on TV and changed the entire game of late night post-Carson.

The most read article concerning this is from the EPOCH TIMES, which paints an alarming picture that animals in general are leaving Yellowstone and the end is nigh.. Perhaps a little perspective is needed. The reason I posted some doubts about this video is it was a ‘too good to be true’ end times type of thing.. Elk running for their lives from the supervolcano about to blow! AND then a 4.8 hits the next day.. the timing could not have been better.
BUT.. Sharon Hill from DOUBTFUL NEWS adds a bit of, well, doubt, to the story.. and common sense.. and logical questions that maybe can ‘bring you back’ from the cliff and the eve of destruction. Elk running for their lives. Or maybe… just running?

I wrote a short post on March 19 2014 about TIME magazine and various other sources laughing at medical conspiracy theories.. That day those news orgs were poking fun at anyone who thought African Americans were injected with HIV. I pointed out facts of the past to illustrate why such conspiracy theories were held dear in some minds, such as info that the government injected some with syphilis and plutonium..  

And now today, there is real to believe that real medical conspiracies continue.. The government has been performing dangerous experimentation, using dangerous pollutants on human beings in tests..

According to the information, the tests took place between the year 2010 and 2011. here is how the DAILY CALLER sums it up:

The EPA conducted five experiments in 2010 and 2011 to look at the health effects of particulate matter, or PM, and diesel exhaust on humans. The IG’s report found that the EPA did get consent forms from 81 people in five studies. But the IG also found that “exposure risks were not always consistently represented.”

“Further, the EPA did not include information on long-term cancer risks in its diesel exhaust studies’ consent forms,” the IG’s report noted. “An EPA manager considered these long-term risks minimal for short-term study exposures” but “human subjects

And this:

No one was killed during the test, but a source close to the issue says that one test subject — a 58-year-old obese woman with medical problems and a family history of heart disease — was ordered to go to the hospital by the EPA after being exposed to “ambient air pollution particles” in October 2010.

It always fascinates me that so many can get angry about testing unsuspecting animals but turn a blind eye to humans being subjected to dangerous experimentation?  OH.. and they tested this on children, too.  CHILDREN. And then when people rightly point out real medical conspiracies, they are put down as conspiracy mongering tin foil hat wearing sky is falling nutjobs?

Until you answer that, I will be adjusting my tin foil hat to encompass the new news of this medical conspiracy non-theory.

This is an obvious rumor at this point.. but there is an ABC News Tweet about Chile tonight saying that 300 prisoners may have escaped from prison in the aftermath of the big 8.2 quake

ART BELL FOOLS DAY?

Art Bell posted a message today that he is coming back.
If it’s an April Fools joke, there may be lots of Facebook unfriending afterwards..

When I told my father about the possible return, he didn’t even want to hear about it.. My dad was the biggest Bell fan for years. Until the SIRIUS XM departure.. he felt slighted. Lots of fans did.

The ones who held on may be even more slighted if this turns out to be a joke or they have to wait another year and a half to hear a potential show..

I thought a lot about this before posting..

I debated whether or not I should spread the word of a horrible crime .. does me posting about it continue the horror? I don’t know. But I can tell you  this, when I read the story of a young innocent baby boy dying in a hospital in Jermyn PA, I teared up.. I will tell you why in a second..

We know this: 10-month-old Silas was brutally beaten by his mother’s boyfriend. Charges have been filed against Eddie Widdick ..Baby Silas had brain injuries, a rib fracture, and hemorrhages in both eyes.. he had bruises on his head and torso.. Widdick is now in in a jail in Lackawanna County on $150,000 bail.

Child crimes have always happened—I get that.. 

But my inquisitive mind read the comments on the Citizens VOICE newspaper page.. one commenter mentioned that Widdick’s Facebook page was still active.. It is. I poured through some recent history as the page was not yet deleted and information was not set to private.. While I certainly will not post the photos, but a number of posts actually had baby Silas in them.. There are comments on that post saying RIP and “you sick F*&” to Widdick.. So many images of the baby were beautiful.. But Widdick, the charged man, eventually beat this child to death days after many of the pictures were taken, prosecutors say..

There is something very macabre about what I did.. In a sense, I feel I peeled back an onion, but when I did it was rotten to the core..  I feel very guilty about seeing these photos. First off, they are someone else’s private collection—though on Facebook so often people don’t realize how much private stuff just gets put out there for all to see, including this.. And secondly, obviously, the innocence of any child is so clear, especially when a horrible crime happens to him or her. This baby is no different.

I just want to forget I read this headline.. I want to forget I saw those Facebook images.. I just want to eliminate the sadness from my brain.

I don’t think I can..

Pity the fool who celebrates April Fools

I loathe April Fools Day. I have always loathed April Fools Day, from the time when children used to scream ‘April Fools!” in shrill voices after completing some type of unfunny prank to today.

And now today, with the internet, it can be April Fools every day. How many times have you seen someone fall for a fake story on the ONION? Or even fake news from the mainstream media..?

But the worst of the worst in our modern times are these undoubtedly fake ‘news’ stories that passed around from reader to reader on April fools day.. I saw a few really unfunny stories the moment I woke up this morning. For example, a website I follow that reports actual legitimate information regarding solar flares announced that a killshot had exploded from the sun and we were doomed to die. So tacky, so not funny.. and so possible one day in the future that it is REALLY not humorous at all.. I equate that with the Weather Channel giving fake tornado reports and alarming entire towns that imminent destruction is on the horizon.

Other definites to expect on April Fools: The fraud stories that your favorite celebrity has died.. the tales that some weird scientific discovery has just be made..

Perhaps the very most annoying April fools jokes still come from terrestrial radio of the 20th century. Disc jockeys who are aging and still want to be the next ‘Jerky Boy’ come up with some of the most ludicrously unfunny ‘pranks.’

But with every holiday we ‘celebrate’ there is a root meaning behind it.. no different for April fools. The 1st of April is really a day with an intention that you do thinks to make other people look like fools. True fools.. Jokes on them kind of stuff..

There are ancient precursors to the modern April fools day found in Roman and Medieval feasts..There are different customs of jokes from around the world..
Some think that there are religious reasons why April fools pranks started.. and if religious history is involved, no doubt pagan rituals also abound. People do trace April fools back to some pagan traditions..
And yes.. going full steam ahead down from the pagan path to a point of no return,  some people even equate April fools to Satan himself.

In the end, we know this:
Don’t trust any news link you read today.

Try to maintain your composure when some annoying co worker shouts “APRIL FOOLS!!!” at you..
Know that it’s only one day, and it’s almost over.
And this: You will find out a lot about the ‘sense of humor’ of people—especially those who have no ability to tell jokes or be funny at all and still try today.. so often those without any common sense of humor will have an immense belly laugh at their own jokes..

The good news is that as a tradition April fools pranks are pulled before noon of the day—those done after bring a curse and bad luck to the prankster.. then who’s the fool to be pitied?

I despise and always have despised April Fools Day.

The SMART SET from Drexel University has an interesting little story (and humorously sarcastic) about whether or not the car killed with fairies .. you know, those little creatures who plagued so many in history?

Fairies are  believed, by some, to be real.. to be actual little creatures that appear in legends and folklore.  

But it’s not just stories from old times.. those old times are still a ‘flyin.. and the same fairy flying tomorrow never seems to be dyin’..

In 2011, an out of work bricklayer in Mexico said he caught a fairy and preserved it in formaldehyde.. 

Other websites are dedicated to the idea that fairies are real ..

BUT ALAS, should you see a fairy, perhaps it’s best not to surround yourself with their radiant light. They could be of darkness, and perhaps there to steal your soul with their evil.. 

That .. or they are JUST NOT REAL.

I am constantly amazed by elephants.. And this article equally interested me. 

A killer elephant on the rampage through a West Bengal village STOPPED to save a crying baby beneath the rubble of a house it had begun to demolish.. 

And besides that nice little story, my GOD, ELEPHANTS VS HUMAN should be the next SYFY special…Or just put a camera on an elephant’s tusk in West Bengal and see the action as it rampages the streets…
