Florida man disemboweled girlfriend after sex: cops
This could be one of the worst modern crime stories I have ever heard of.. The details are disgusting. Read at your own risk..
27-year-old Ken Gruno went missing in December, 2014. He was one of many young man who seemingly go missing after leaving bars in this country.. And just like many other men, he was found—this week—in a pond floating..
The Flint Journal and Detroit News say that the body found Thursday morning is that of 27-year-old Ken Gruno. The pond is in Forest Township, just outside Otisville and about 12 miles northeast of Flint.
State police Lt. Ryan Pennel says Gruno was carrying identification. He says there are no signs of foul play.
Only days ago, a story was published about how his mother hoped he was still alive.
A January article described the strange circumstances that surrounded Gruno’s mysterious disappearance.. He was at a holiday bar-go-round with friends.. This from M LIVE:
Grainy security footage from a nearby bank shows him standing outside, said his parents, who have seen the footage. He is standing in the street talking to people in cars that are coming by. Then, he calmly starts walking away. He walks west down East Wilson Road. He walks farther and farther into the darkness and eventually disappears entirely.
To his family, it makes no sense. The 27-year-old was home from Christmas break, preparing to start his second year of classes studying computer science at Wayne State University in Detroit.
His mother said there’s no indication of why he left. They’re desperate for clues, but so far have found little more than rumors and bogus leads.
Last night before bed, I made a little mistake in listening to a DARKNESS RADIO true crime show with Dave Schrader featuring the owner of Serial Killer Magazine. The show was great and interesting. True crime fascinates me … actually scares me. The intense reality that exists beyond the safety of our locked doors and closed windows is abhorrent, often. There is much to be written and told of true crime—too much to start now. But I’m curious how many others out there are interested in true crime.. How many people are both fascinated and horrified by the macabre.. and how many fear reality more than fiction?
Ohio has a problem. This man you see here, is the phantom pooper.. the night owl defectator.. the silent shitter.. You pick your own term. Either way, he’s going around various parts of the city of Akron, Ohio. It’s been going on for years, the suspicion now is that the Bowel Movement Bandit has defecated on over 19 cars. The poopetrator even hit one woman’s car 7 times..
He’s been getting busy with his business. But now cops want him to cut the crap. This story is just asking for bad puns, and regardless of the source, people are making them. But just imagine waking up one day to find a large load on the cook of your car.. The horror of that scene would be unimaginable..
Either way, with his image now blasting across the internet–the image of him in action–there may be ‘movement’ on the case.. For the sake of Akron, we certainly hope so.
…and I was not too forgiving of the killer—I suspended by disagreement with the death penalty because of Sells’ crimes and didn’t introduce the notion to my mind to feel bad for him,
It brings up the bigger question: What should we do with people on death row or any criminal who has exhausted the forgiveness of society?
In America, we seem to become agitated any time we hear that prisoners get basic rights such as food, water, and books.. We get infuriated when we think about how they drain the tax dollars of money.. (of course we seldom care that pot offenders get hard time and that death row inmates often languish for years even though DNA evidence now may prove them innocent of the crimes)..
How should a dignified nation treat its criminals? With dignity.. I am good with that.
Maybe except with Sells…
Just a horrible, rotten story..
Their voices are forever gone now due to her crimes..
I am completely aware of the questionable methods of death that Texas used in this matter.. and I know The state refused to say where it obtained the deadly dose of pentobarbital
And I am completely aware of the moral problems that come with capital punishment—a reason I really don’t support it.
But when I heard enough and read enough about Sells and his crimes, it led me down a road where the last thing I’d show him was compassion.
His murders disturbed me like no other.. Maybe it’s due to the fact I listened to a radio show about them while it was raining and foggy out my window.. or maybe because the potential murder of an entire family just tugs at my heart and disturbs my soul.
I am very deeply troubled about the death penalty.. I so often think it’s something we should not do, so often think it’s wrong for a nation to still perform ritualistic executions of murderers or criminals..But we do.
Today, though, I am not weeping for Tommy Lynn Sells.
Sells was put to death in Texas despite last minute attempts to delay..
Sells was one of the more brutal serial killers—and someone that until very recently I really knew nothing of. I am actually a little surprised that our media didn’t tout this man’s horrid crimes as much as they did other serial killers throughout history. Sells ranks up there with the most insane of evildoers to grace our society.. he murdered men, women, and children. He did it without regard or concern..
I actually learned the most about Sells from Dave Schrader’s DARKNESS RADIO.. Schrader interviewed author Diane Fanning about Sells.. The horrific nature of his crimes disturbed me to my core. There is a laundry list of murders committed and also some he is suspected of.
Sells is suspected of killing the Dardeen family in 1987--the story of these murders is beyond comparison.. if Sells did it, that means he killed a father, a 3-year-old, a mother—who gave birth during her death. The premature baby girl was then savagely beaten and killed, too..
This is one case that made me question the death penalty—but in the other way. It made me wonder if my opposition to it was just a fanciful dream that people are ‘decent’ … indecent people like Sells maybe don’t deserve oxygen..
Regardless of that, Sells is dead now.
