This is not a joke: Japanese fast-food chain has announced plans to grow rice and vegetables on a farm 60 miles from the crippled Fukushima power plant, site of the world's worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl in 1986

Pretty shocking. I am sure some will chalk this up into the ‘what can go wrong’ category..

Growing food near a meltdown.. ..this and Japan getting the 2020 Olympics? Everything is just coming up roses in Japan.

Big, giant, smelly radiated roses.

My, how your food grows. And glows.

He’s got plenty more beebs up his sleeves.. And while I am growing weary of daily headlines relating to Justin Bieber and his self-loving fever, I cannot escape them. The latest from CHINA:

Justin Bieber gets CARRIED up the Great Wall of China..
And they sprint behind him while skateboarding….an ego out of control?

NBC news has confirmed that famed author Tom Clancy is dead at 66..

Something to watch: There are clouds and rain near Cuba, and it could turn into a tropical system and move towards the Southeast.. Numerous weather models seem to be converging on the notion that whatever happens with the storm system, the United States will be affected. And the timing as usual is weird: It was one year ago this month that Sandy struck the Northeast.. I am not comparing these storms at all, but just the typical weird timing on events in life has once again amazed me..

THE PINK STARS ARE FALLING. Or something is.

A spattering of fireball news for today:

'Fireballs' fall from the sky in Mexico.. reports that they caused nausea and headaches in rescuers in the Yucatan..

Was it ball lightning or something else?

Ison could still be the comet of the century. Or not.

And with all those government satellites not being monitored by anyone because of a shutdown, this happened: ISON passed by MARS on Tuesday..

And with the government shutdown.. lots of satellites are offline, NASA isn’t working..wage and hour cannot be reached..

But it’s business as usual at the IRS, NSA, and other alphabet agencies..

I just checked. And yes, the government is still shut down.

Strieber's aliens and Clyde's 9: It's one of those creepy nights..

Whitley Strieber talking about aliens going up his rear end on Art Bell.

Or a guest on Clyde Lewis talking about the 9.

A night of weird on my ear buds. I am debating if I should play each on a separate phone and beam both shows into a respective ear. What would my dreams me like then!?

AN INTERVIEW WITH AN ATHEIST

The Pope is stirring debate again after an interview with an Italian journalist—who is also an atheist..

The cool rockin Francis said, in part, that church leaders ‘have often been narcissists’..And the WASHINGTON POST reports this,

A top official with the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in the United States, took the unprecedented step of rebuking Francis, writing that the pope’s interview was “a theological wreck” and that Francis was dabbling dangerously in relativism.

AN INTERVIEW WITH AN ATHEIST
I know about budgets. I was a drug dealer. To be in a drug deal, you need to know what you can spend, what you need to re-up. Or if you want to start some sort of barbershop or car wash—those were the businesses back then. Things you can get in easily to get out of [that] life. At some point, you have to have an exit strategy, because your window is very small; you’re going to get locked up or you’re going to die

Who killed October horror movies? Who cares?

A very interesting story is appearing in USA TODAY, today.. Who killed the Halloween horror movies is the title, and the article goes in depth on how October has become an unusually quiet month for horror flicks—only the remake of CARRIE is really set to scare this month. … and USA TODAY concludes this, which I agree with: Horror has become such a successful genre that you would not be able to fit all the hits into one month. The summer has been another time where horror has seen a build influx of cash..

As someone who is dating myself in my less than youthful invigoration, I think things began to change around the the turn of the century from 1999 to 2001.. We saw hits happen in the summer, like THE SIXTH SENSE, the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, and JEEPERS CREEPERS. It was clear to studios then, as it is now, that you don’t need leaves changing and cooler nights to entice movie goers to be scared. And in the summer, you have another good thing: Kids aren’t in school and are more inclined to do late movies.

Either way, I don’t get angry or sad that October features few horror movies—most of them are less than watchable anyway to me..

My horror movie marathon for the season typically happens the night before or the night of Halloween, and is filled with only the first John Carpenter HALLOWEEN version..

And sometimes for fun, I’ll throw in Halloween III for some laughs.. I don’t know why no one has remake H3, a modern version of the SILVER SHAMROCK themed film could actually make it better..

FLOTUS the tweetless

Even the first lady’s Twitter account has been hit by the government shutdown. Not really sure why, but she Michelle Obama tweeted this to her hundreds of thousands of followers today:

I am sure there’s a reason for the treason.. but until someone tells me, I’ll just chalk this tidbit up as ‘noise’..

what's with the obama picture in the background?

Expect to see lots of photos in the background.. Obama in college smoking was my first choice..

The NEW YORK POST asks: Miley Cyrus is fooling everyone?

…maybe. But not Clyde Lewis..

The government is… still… shut… down.

South Korea shows off new missiles designed to hit North

….to be fair,  if Lil Kim did this we’d be sending Dennis Rodman over there. But the South can get away with flaring up tensions?

Speaking of Dennis.. has he returned from North Korea yet!? Perhaps Lil Kim got a new bride..?

This is a composite of weather models of a still not formed storm in the Caribbean.. All paths seems to being it to areas that Sandy hit one year ago.

The disturbance is strengthening…

It obviously should be monitored by anyone in the path of those squiggly white lines..

Amazing maps reveal what North America looked like only a few short 550 million years ago.. And truly, 550 million years is a blink in time in the eyes of nature.. What will the continent, and for that matter the earth, look like in another 500 million years?

Two friends just insulted my new design for this site.. I like it. For now.. A bit.

Do you?

Is anyone else finding Star Wars Angry Birds 2 exceptionally difficult to play?!

I think I’m quickly becoming a disappointment for my son, who expects my skill to exceed his at such games.

Do you want to go to Jim Thorpe?

I’d love you!

YOU’RE NOT SO PRIVATE LIFE..

Dig it. The dancing queen.

The world has a new one!

A woman known days ago as the bus stop dancer has been identified as 35-year-old Ellie Cole.

Internet users have spread her around, laughing and mocking her situation, but she lucked out: She is getting a high out of her 15 minutes of fame—plus she just got a new job, landing a role in a local play.

The story is being offered up as a feel-good story with a happy ending, something we don’t get often from the media. But what else is in play here..?

Go down this merry journey with  me and see if you’re still smiling at the end.

Ellie Cole was minding her own business—sure there is no expectation of privacy on a street—but the fact that surveillance video of the bus stop was somehow uploaded to Facebook, seemingly to make a fool out of this person expressing a little happiness—is interesting. I did locate an article explaining that a restaurant owner across the street was doing the filming..  I suppose he or she is the one that put the ABBA music overtop of the dancing..

Media isn’t asking many questions about the moral appropriateness of an innocent person meandering through life and suddenly being made famous by a creepy person a distance away with a camera..

This reminds me of a couple things. First off, I tell anyone who emails me People of Walmart to stop emailing me them.. there may be some humor to watching sad human beings shop,  but it’s creepy that they are watched by others and photos are taken without their knowledge, uploaded to the net, and spread around the world like wildfire. Other sites similar to People of Walmart are popping up.. everyone wants to make a fool of someone else. Few photographs are taken of the cameraman in a mirror. Instead, it has become fashionable to mock unknowing innocent people shopping.. but where is a line drawn? Children? Elderly? MOCK EM ALL!

This also reminds me of something from the late 20th century. Years ago, the Late Show with David Letterman was forced to settle a lawsuit with Jane Bronstein, a then-fifty-five year old woman that Letterman would often show. There was footage of her at a tennis game sloppily eating a peach, and Letterman used that footage often on the show when it first went to CBS. At one point, Letterman put the video on the large Jumbotron in New York City of Bronstein eating the peach.  It turned out that the woman Letterman was mocking had actually become disfigured by childhood polio and a thyroid conditions.

Fast forward to the year 2013, and it’s now the world’s newest game: Shame innocent people for acting themselves in public. The camera is always watching..

People lament the power of Big Brother—with his NSA spying and his FBI fusion centers collecting so much data that they probably don’t even know what to do with it all.. While people fear Big Brother’s power, what about the actions of the sheeple? Happily analyzing through hours of hidden camera footage for that just right person to ridicule… watching Earthcams from the comfort of their dark basements.. Setting up surveillance to watch neighbors. Hell, buying drones to patrol their homes! And yes, forwarding until their tired emails of people shopping at Walmart wearing colostomy bags and walking around with their shorts too low and an enlarged stomach hanging out.

This is what we have become.

The tale of Ellie Cole is being told by newscasters with a smile. It’s the quirky story that they play after sports, a nice way to end the night, they think..

But I don’t.

I think it’s a creepy example of a surveillance state gone too far. And most of the time it’s not the government doing a thing, it’s We the People who apparently think we’re so perfect that mocking others is the only form of entertainment that exists online..

All of these stars pledged to serve the president.

And now a school is sorry they told kids to.

Even cancer is getting political! The federal government wants to redefinethe term “cancer” so that fewer conditions qualify as a true cancer.

From FORBES:

With respect to the definition of “cancer,” downgrading some conditions as no longer being “cancer” can and will used to justify reducing “unnecessary” screening tests (e.g., mammograms for women between ages 40-49). Mammograms can now detect the condition known as “ductal carcinoma in situ” (DCIS), which would no longer be called a cancer under the new proposal

Even cancer? Disease? ….is anything in this land of our land NOT political!?

Even cancer is getting political! The federal government wants to redefinethe term “cancer” so that fewer conditions qualify as a true cancer.

Derek Nance has eaten nothing but raw meat for five years.

He also, as you can see, brushes his teeth with animal fat..

Nance says he’s never been healthier.

And if that’s all not zany enough, his girlfriend is a vegetarian!

The odd couple indeed.

Teeth to prove.

God bless Derek Nance.  He looks a little bit like Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer for Iron Maiden with a little vampire thrown in

The new fad word of the year you’ll hear .. before the end of the year: iPosture.

Apparently people are hunched over so much anymore that their backs are becoming disfigured.

At least one survey conducted concludes that almost 90% of the youthful ignorants are suffering from back issues..

Virtually over..

And if you’re in a generation that still remembers your mom telling you to sit up straight, no fear! You’ll have problems, too! Apparently the new iOS 7 is truly making people ill..

So… tomorrow is October 1 and all those FEMA Region 3 preps should be finalized, right?

There was a NARROW miss by the an asteroid this weekend, according to Russian scientists.. while we are being told it was not detected, maybe we should ask if it was…? Maybe this is why the regional preparations have been occurring? Maybe my tin foil hat is wound too tight?

Either way, we know this: Ohio saw a big fireball, as did about twelve other states and Canada. Clyde Lewis went nuts during his live broadcast Friday night attempting to comprehend this issue.. and then on Saturday, Alabama saw a big fireball. Last night, Zimbabwe saw a ‘moon like’ object..

There was no warning of this asteroid.. there was no major scientist who saw this.. and we have to now rely on the world’s new superpower, Russia, to tell us when we almost had a life-destroying asteroid hit.

This one was too close for comfort..

September is ending..
It was a spectacularly beautiful month..

Moaning about drones!? What were you doing in 2006

Me-sa thinks the only person who ranted and raved about drones around 2006 was Alex Jones. It was nice when everyone thought he was crazy.

In 2013, we are fully aware that Jones, at least on the existence of a secret drone program, was not tuning his looney.

It was Sunday.. And it was CALL OF THE WILDMAN.. My son Ayden now is perfecting his “turkeyman call” .. It’s the first real non-cartoon show he liked, besides the 1966 version of BATMAN —though I just don’t seem like that show should realistically count..

It was the best of fall, and the worst of fall

The worst part of the fall now begins

Football season is here. I will not speak to whether the art of being drunk on Sundays and watching football itself is an evil that robs the testosterone of men but still make them feel like tough guys, but I will say this: People need to take a break from being armchair pundits on YouTube.
This fad of football fans tweeting or Facebook statusing every play that their ‘team’ makes during a game started a few SuperBowls ago.. and now it’s taking place every Sunday (*Saturdays for college fans*) …most posts are not ‘liked’ or commented on.. but they litter the dashboards of any platform you blog or socially speak on.. It’s gone from fad to bad.. with an over-abundance of people without any football skills whatsoever constantly complaining for three hours about how bad the ref’s calls were or how awful their team is doing. “Gonna be a long season,” one of my Facebook friends just posted after his particular team, the Steelers, didn’t do so hot …

I am all for free expression.. and I believe that opinions should be expressed. And yes Twitter and Facebook makes it easier.. But I am reminded of the not-so-old adage: “Think before you post.” In this case, “Think before you post 25 times per minute on each and every mundane occurrence that happened during the game you’re watching on TEE VEEE…

There is something about the darkness of the night that brings out primal fears and forces your mind to delve deep into the most frightening aspects of life itself..

News headlines of the day do not help, with events in Syria heating up and allegations that intelligence has been manipulated to favor war, reminiscent of those same allegations a decade ago during a different administration and before a different war began..

Times always seems strange before a war begins. The debate, the water cooler arguments in the workplace, and the divisive family dinners with both sides or more than three sides arguing about what the best course of action is in whatever current world crisis is taking place.. IT can all get so mean..

The New York Times today ran a story about the rebels from hell, those that the United States is poised to help against the Assad regime in Syria.. They behead innocent Christians on their knees, they eat the hearts of their opponents— literally— and who knows, maybe even they are responsible for the chemical attack instead of the government that we say that did it.. But that should be no bother to Secretary of State Serpentface, with his reptilian tongue flailing against his dry lips as he testified before the Congress..

But there seems to be something more occurring across this planet.. The great noises heard in the sky, those trumpet sounds that have been sounding for more than 24 months continue.. A constant slide into pop-culture oblivion happens before our eyes during every generation, but this go around it seems too much to come back from.. And the weather sure is weird, not because of the amount of storms this year but just because of the lack of them. It seems too quiet for this planet, as we’ve been getting used to wild weather and now suddenly silence. Is it a calm before the storm?

Any parent reading this will know that the ultimate fear is what the world will be like for a child.. The innocent minded children cannot typically fathom the guilty brains of adults. And the same child living today tomorrow will be crying if we don’t get this right..

But it does not seem that leadership ever wants to get it right, instead they just want to give it to the enemy..

But do they know their enemy? Do we?

This statement may risk sounding passé but it does not get written without proof: There are so many people on this planet, those who I speak to and others who I listen to, that seem to agree ‘Something seems ready to happen’.. That something seems ready to break, or that we are in for a wild time of history.

I don’t know how true or false the idea of collective consciousness could be, and I certainly do not know or have any proof that could state for sure that people have knowledge of an event before said the event takes place. But I could tell you this without any doubt: Many people have a certain feeling of unease about the present, and even more of a worry about the future..

And as I said above, every generation has its worries and it’s wars and it’s pestilence and it’s crimes, and every generation sees horror that the previous could not fathom.. And maybe we are all just had a breaking point, perhaps we are fed up and maybe we have just seen too much. Or maybe we haven’t seen anything yet. And that is the truth here, the idea that something worse is about to occur..

Over the past several months and especially weeks I’ve seen a number of stories concerning solar flares and the grid.. People seem to be very worried lately about the grid. We know the grid is very old, and we sure as hell know that no one has seriously put time or effort into improving the grid in a generation. Maybe that is why we’re worried, the collective feeling that are dumb luck may run out. Or perhaps is that deep fear yet again sitting in about the solar maximum, or even the quarter of the sun that exploded from itself this past summer..

I don’t know what it is, but I know many people share the sentiment that we are in for turbulent times..

Last night on Coast to Coast a.m., John Hogue prophesies about the coming events in the near future.. From Syria to climate change, the future is not so bright, at least according to him.. Maybe he is right and maybe he is wrong, but these days most people would buy into the doom and gloom that people like him and others are sharing..

So what is the answer? Hell if I know..

These thoughts are just thoughts being shared out loud for you to see and ponder, late into the night and deep into the darkness, as deep and dark is your mind will permit..

Looking like a toddler with your puke on the ground

I would be remiss as a father to not explain something funny, odd, and quite disgusting that occurred yesterday.. Around 9am, when I was mentally pondering the fact I just turned 33, my son did something.. The little 2 and a half year old chugged a cup of grape juice as soon as he woke up and, right after, had an episode of projectile EXORCIST style vomiting. Right as he did it, he was sitting on my lap…so as any dad would do, I panicked and picked him up, thereby forcing his contained vomited to sprawl across the room like a lawn sprinkler.

It all happened so fast.. I still recall the  noise of SCOOBY DOO playing in the background, and the sudden force of purple liquid coming from his little toddler stomach.

(Ironically, it happened after he drank his juice too fast, but he was actually eating a immunity boosting vitamin at the time)

I placed him on the floor as my wife tried to calmly tell me to get a towel or something to clean the now soaked area..  Funny enough, little Ayden Morris remained the calmest of all. He actually told me, and my wife, “I’m ok, I’m fine.” He repeated it over and over again.. while it was a big haze of memories of vomit, I think he even put his hand up in the air while he was telling us he was OK…

As we began cleaning him, he started to laugh and said, “That looked like rain, Daddy! It was like rain, Mommy!”

And with that he was fine…………

A lesson learned.

I don’t think he’ll drink grape juice for a while.

I do not think mommy or daddy will give it to him for a while either…………

2013?

2013!!

Yes… 2013. Period. And Labor Day along with it.

This Billy Joel song, FAMOUS LAST WORDS, is the ballad of my labor days of years past, present, and probably future..

I still recall getting this CD for my birthday from my brother in 1993, and I listened to it over and over, and over again after the Ashland PA ABA Parade that year..

Every song was amazing..But especially this final song, with its lyrics of cleaning of streamers after the Labor Day parade and enjoying coffee and apples in the early autumn.

I still remember when Billy Joel appeared on David Letterman during his first week on CBS back in ‘93… My God I am aging. We are all though—I am not alone but maybe more melancholy in my approach to the passage of time.

Years gone by… Age 13 in ‘93…..age 23 in ‘03… and this year, this month, this day… age 33… Add that together and start your numerology. I’ll just grin and bear it. Or something.

The wedding cake still tastes great after all these years…

And somewhere, somehow, my memory still walks the streets of Ashland, Pennsylvania, during a Labor Day ABA parade……with streamers and horns, balloons and the sweet smell of fried food and Devitos Pizza in the air above my head. Those were the days.

These are the days, too.

They’ve changed.. and gone by.

And as time goes by so do the years.

33 years ??! I just was 21, wasn’t I!? I was just 13… in ‘93. Back during that blizzard….back during that point in time. Brendan! Joe! Johnny! Where are you? Where is the poetry!?

I think it’s still being read in a deep and dark basement, under the strained lights of the 3am hour. The dead poet society still preaches, I hope, at 21..I hope.

Where the hell does it all go?

To the Langoliers, I say! Eating away as Stephen King wrote. UNDER HIS DOME. With Billy Joel endlessly playing on David Letterman’s opening night on CBS..

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS OUT

There’s a lot of parents who worry about their children playing football and getting head injuries.

But apparently they are not worried enough to actually stop sending their golden children into battle on fields across the United States, as this report shows with facts..

The good old days weren't all that good but war's still as bad as it seems

I was 23 years young and dumb, fighting for my rights to party somewhere in a smoky bar room—you could smoke back then.. And on the cover of TIME MAGAZINE: George W. Bush with a big headline “Do you want this war?”

Americans were torn..
And now in 2013, after a decade of war and then some, only about 9% of Americans surveyed support military action in Syria. So much for the rest of the nation..

But absent this night: Media asking Americans if they want this war? No magazine covers—there’s apps for that now.. And hell, NEWSWEEK isn’t even printing anymore..right Tina?

Are we rushing into another one? And could this one be much worse?
After all, what would be he result of “tactical” strikes on Assad? We assume no one would retaliate — maybe not against us, but what about Israel? China’s red faced anger could show itself.. would they call in the debt!? And Russia? They’ll sick Snowden back on us..
Meanwhile a Shah sleeps in Iran, and does he have a plan?

It ain’t no end times. But Armageddon sure can come on quick. And these summer Armageddons are the worst.

Yes, indeed, this whole event already seems murky and messy. But ain’t that America.
…so, 89% that didn’t want the war a few days ago..do you want it now?

My wife's reaction to me doing something dumb

Tara: Stop doing that or I'll smack in you in the head with my iPad
Me: What if I told you, in 2007 when we got married, that one day you'd tell me you'd smack me in the head with your iPad?
Tara: ...silence..

Do we still have a dream?

Half a century later.. how far did we come?

Some would argue not too far at all.

I will not digress into banter about politics, crime, or other types of divisive issues.. but I will say this.  The left leaning media did a bang up job dividing the nation by race during the Trayvon Martin trial.. and now the right leaning media is trying the same game with the recent horrific crimes committed by black teens against Chris Lane, the young baseball star, and Shorty, the World War II vet.

…and though in the same few days, crimes committed by white men or women, Hispanics, or even hell, Native Americans, didn’t happen!?

See, we could do this all day.

I wholeheartedly believe that from birth, advertisers and experts in those high towers of Manhattan shower the brain with images of divisiveness, tribalism, sexism, ageism, and racism. I am a white man, but believe racism is still existent. In many ways—some ways being the worst are often by groups supposedly representing the interests of minorities taking advantage of them, whether it would be through forcing tithing in churches or asking for political donations for the politicians to simply squander it..

That is what also unites so many, without people even realizing it.

We all have a ‘dream’ .. Martin Luther King said those famous words 50 years ago today.. but that dream today is more a nightmare, or maybe a twilight after a long night of drinking…

But the 99%, or whatever you would like to call the majority of Americans, no matter the race, have these things in common: We love our families, we fight for justice, and we want to make the future better for the next generation. Oh, and we also have this in common: We are never going to be in the 1% and the 1% is completely happy with that.. Because in the end, that 1% does not want our involvement in their affairs.

And that is primarily the reason I believe that we are purposely being given images and articles and stories to only divide us further and force us to degrade into a horrible tribalistic future.

It is not race that divides us, or gender.. it’s class. The middle class is squeezed away.. poverty abounds. The rich get richer—and those rich sure as hell don’t want anyone else joining them.

If only we, as a United States, would realize this. If only we would all realize that the dream King had half a century ago could be realized by all of us.. and that we all share a moment in this spectacular dream he envisioned..

If only..

The purpose of life: Living 88 years, serving the nation, and being killed by teenagers in a disgusting act of inhumane violence..

So Delbert Benton served in World War II.. he defended the nation.. he lived 88 years. And then he was killed by two teenagers in a senseless act of violence? Sickening.

There are nights, like tonight, when I become physically ill by my fellow human.. This is a terrible story..

Damn it Neil, the name's Nuwanda

Will the media stop referring to Bradley Manning as Bradley now? Will they respect his wishes and call him Chelsea?
What will Chelsea lately have to say?
Or Bill Bradley?
My mind is racing.

He’s a poet among us…

The Syrian chemical, attack: What we know. And what we really know

By now you know about or have scenes images of the purported chemical attack in Syria. There is still debate about who did it.. how it was done.. when it was done, and all of those things that come with the fog of war—even foggier because of the players in this conflict..

I know this.. What I see in images and on the news is real. Innocent children, beautiful children, are dead from this madness. There are women dead.. there are men dead. But it’s those horrific pictures of children and the videos of them convulsing and foaming at the mouth that strike me..

The convulsions, pinpoint pupils and laboured breathing seen in victims of an alleged chemical attack in Syria could be symptoms of nerve gas, experts said Thursday, but only blood and urine samples can provide proof. Syria’s main opposition group says more than 1,300 people were killed Wednesday in a government attack on rebel areas near Damascus — a charge the government vehemently denies. Footage distributed by activists showed people foaming at the mouth and doctors apparently giving people oxygen to help them breathe and trying to resuscitate unconscious children. Chemical and defence experts said the symptoms appeared consistent with exposure to a nerve agent like sarin or VX. “A large number of symptoms definitely point in that direction,” said chemical weapons expert Jean Pascal Zanders, although he said much more information was needed for a definitive conclusion.

What we don’t know: Who dunit.

The central evidence of the alleged use of chemical weapons is the fact that bodies shown in the footage posted on the Internet do not show any clear signs of external trauma, leading to the conclusion that the cause of death was some form of respiratory trauma or asphyxiation. Some of the casualties showed signs of convulsions and, in at least one case, contracted pupils, which are both symptoms of exposure to nerve agents.
However, Western experts on chemical warfare who have examined at least part of the footage are skeptical that weapons-grade chemical substances were used, although they all emphasize that serious conclusions cannot be reached without thorough on-site examination.

The allegations exist that President Assad struck this area with chemicals and perpetrated the deadliest chemical attack in the world since the 1980s when Saddam Hussein used weapons (that the USA gave him) against Kurds in Iraq.. We also hear that Assad’s state regime is denying they did it..

Recent facts point give  us this information: Only weeks ago, the United Nations accused Syrian REBELS of using chemical weapons (you know, those same rebels that now accuse the state of doing it) .. And we finally know this. UN weapons inspectors entered Syria in the past few days—certainly that would force a person to question the timing of this nightmare…

It is now widely believed that the testimony of Nayirah in the 1990s was a hoax. Facts now seem to show that the baby incubator story was bogus and only propaganda to compel the United States to defend Kuwait against Saddam Hussein during Gulf War I.

But regardless of is to blame for this atrocity, we know two more things: 1) That there was a chemical attack and that 2) war is wrong and evil, with this latest action symbolizing that with every child’s frightened tear,

History made.. For all the wrong reasons

BEIRUT/AMMAN (Reuters) - Syria’s opposition accused government forces of gassing hundreds of people on Wednesday by firing rockets that released deadly fumes over rebel-held Damascus suburbs, killing men, women and children as they slept.

With the death toll estimated between 500 and 1,300, what would be the world’s most lethal chemical weapons attack since the 1980s prompted an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council in New York.

The council did not explicitly demand a U.N. investigation of the incident, although it said “clarity” was needed and welcomed U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon’s calls for a prompt investigation by the U.N. inspection team in Syria, led by Ake Sellstrom.

Kneeling before the master....

This story about kids being forced to kneel down before dismissal at a San Bernardino school really made me sick.

What are we doing in this nation, are we trying to create modern day slavery? Are we trying to make kids from an early age worshiped there supposedly masters?

No marching to the beat of another drum when everyone is on the same bandwagon!
No thinking different, we frown on..

It is time to be a brick on the wall and not a wallflower, don’t be a catcher in the Rye, that is just too out there..

Yes indeed this story made me sick.
Children should be molded to respect adults, but any adult that once children to kneel before them should have no respect given to them and should have their brains checked because there is something seriously wrong..

NSA surveillance reach broader than publicly acknowledged

A little confused by Tumblr recently..

Lots of blogs I do not following are suddenly appearing in my news feed. I was confused by a few and tried to figure out if I had somehow accidentally followed them—none of them are really of interest to me and I am not sure exactly what Yahoo! and David Karp felt it necessary for me to see them. Today another new one showed up: They are advertising the Windows phone to me.

I am getting a little tired of this whole thing.. is it a glitch or something that has been agreed to occur to help advertise on here??

Some news I'm reading early today..

Disgusting: First school shooting of the school year, no one dies in Georgia.. This is a horrible thing for parents, students, teachers.. and all of us. When will this madness end?

And what are the long term ramifications for Japan, the planet? The oceans? This is a slow motion nightmare that seems unlikely to end ..
