A little creepy.. Actually I can go for the idea, as long as my shopping cart can be loud and obnoxious. I think a choice of voices would be great.. Imagine if DARTH VADER would congratulate you for your lettuce purchase? Or even better, Don Rickles can randomly make bigoted jokes as you shop the international section..? Maybe Triumph the Insult Comic Dog from the old Conan O’Brien NBC skit could hit on women as you drive by them in a store.. 

And don’t even let it talk in the cantaloupe section.

Just sayin’ is all.

You heard this right.. a CNN anchorwoman thinks that Michelle Obama can sign bills into law. Her the script writer does.. 

CNN needs to go back and try to find that airplane.. it obviously cannot grasp the basic concepts of  the three branches of government..

Michelle Obama is being praised for a great speech on press freedoms in China. However, it’s ironic that the press is pretty much not allowed access to covering her on her trip to China. 

I’m sure they will be permitted to photograph her lettuce at the White House vegetable garden. You know, all the important stuff..

It’s all well and good, and hopefully she has a great day, with a dinner in any nation-state she wants ..

But there’s a certain level of disgust and revolt I have when journalistic institutions have stories running about ‘50 ways to celebrate Michelle Obama’s birthday,’ as ABC NEWS does today.

It would be just as bad to do this about Laura Bush, or the wife of a North Korean dictator…

I just wish reporters were reporters again and not simply mouthpieces for puff propagandists. Nonetheless, Happy Birthday Michelle..

Even the first lady’s Twitter account has been hit by the government shutdown. Not really sure why, but she Michelle Obama tweeted this to her hundreds of thousands of followers today:

Sure it’s a nice gesture for First Lady Michelle Obama to surprise people in the Blue Room of the White House.. but if you have the time, pay attention to some of the guests as they stroll by. It makes for extremely interesting video at points, like when a guy asks her how to get somewhere else.
