Interesting new Ron Suskind book on Obama White House unleashes this: Women feeling ignored and excluded
The book is called “Confidence Men: Wall Street, Washington, and the Education of a President” .. and it’s set to make waves..
Could this be.. the propelling factor to launch Hillary’s anti-Obama 2012 campaign?! Women excluded.. Hillary to the rescue.. Amazing thing, this politics sure is.

Obama vs the press? Yes, indeed..
The rundown of the clash: The White House said that a San Fransisco CHRONICLE reporter broke the rules when he filmed a protest at a private dinner—you know, the one where the person paid thousands of bucks just to sing out a protest song
The White House said the reporter broke the rules of typical pool reporting by using film and not text..
But the San Fran CHRONICLE is upping the fight a bit more today: They said that the White House is very wrong....
This is a fascinating story to me.. I’ll be interested in seeing where it goes. It also shows that no matter the party or president, there is inevitably a war between those who want to report information and those who’d rather keep it secret.
Obama vs the press? Yes, indeed..

BUT EVEN IF THERE IS NO SHUTDOWN AT MIDNIGHT, IT MAY JUST BE DELAYING THE INEVITABLE
CNN is reporting: Negotiators are working on a proposal to keep the government open for three days while leaders try to put together a broader deal this weekend
A stop gap measure averts a shutdown—for now.

Sure it’s a nice gesture for First Lady Michelle Obama to surprise people in the Blue Room of the White House.. but if you have the time, pay attention to some of the guests as they stroll by. It makes for extremely interesting video at points, like when a guy asks her how to get somewhere else.

Hu? eh? Human rights? Cruisin' tights? Midget fights?
Hu doesn’t answer question on human rights; blames technical issues…
The question to Hu Jintao from the AP’s Ben Feller today was: “How do you justify China’s record, and do you think that’s any of the business of the American people?”
Great question.
Hu didn’t “hear” it.. Or at least the claim was that it was somehow lost in translation..
Bloomberg’s Hans Nichols retried: “President Hu, first off, my colleague asked you a question about human rights which you did not answer. I was wondering if we could get an answer to that question.”
And Hu said? Well, he said “First off, I could clarify, because of the technical translation and interpretation problem, I did not hear the question about the human rights. What I know was that he was asking a question directed at President Obama. As you raised this question and I heard the question properly, certainly I’m in a position to answer that question.”
By God you just have to to love Communists…

Thought bubbles above heads could be used here.. Perhaps Obama was questioning in his mind how to energize the once great American economy again to build things instead of just buy things, to create items instead of simply search for cheap plastic.. And maybe he was wondering how, in the future, America would be able to exist in a world where its manufacturing base has been outsourced to a nation that is still sketchy at best on human rights, puts bloggers in jail for speaking out against the government, and has long work days for people make next to nothing in factories that produce items the world is happily consuming.
Maybe he was thinking that.
But it’s a little too large for a thought bubble.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall tonight in the White House
President Barack Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao shared a private dinner tonight, according to news organizations reporting on the state visit of the Chinese leader..
Wednesday will feature pomp, circumstance, and lots of PR and photo ops.. But tonight was without the glare of the spotlight, without the prying ears of microphones.. absent grand statements and spectacle.
Instead, the two shared time together in the Old Family Dining Room in the White House..
The White House said there were no official note takers on hand and to this point no official record on what the conversation topics were during the private affair..
