The Pope is clearly already a rock star.. This morning he rode an open air vehicle to mass in Vatican City to a crowd going wild.. But he stopped briefly at a man who was clearly disabled in some way..
This is what a Pope should be.

March 19, 2003: President Bush announced that the nation was at war…
Yep.. 10 long years ago ..
And we know what happened since.
This seems to be a truly tragic and sick story from Pontiac, Michigan. This woman, a 75-year-old grandmother named Sandra Layne, gunned down her 17-year-old grandson named Jonathon Hoffman.
Prosecutors called the scene a massacre, and want Layne to be convicted of murder.. Layne says it was in self defense, and that Hoffman in self-defense..
According to the AP report on the shooting:
Layne testified last week that she was afraid of her grandson and acted in self-defense. She said she shot him after he struck her while arguing over his demands for money and a plan to flee Michigan. Hoffman had failed a drug test earlier that day, which could have been a parole violation.
Walton reminded jurors that Layne didn’t report any injuries to police when they arrived at her home after the shooting.
"Not I was afraid, I acted in self-defense, he came after me," Walton said. "I murdered. I shot. I killed — those are her first statements to law enforcement. … She hunted down Jonathan Hoffman because he wouldn’t listen."
He called it a “massacre.”
I don’t know how the jury will find her.. I can’t say I heard about this until today. And every murder is tragic.. but something seems exceptionally tragic about a grandmother shooting her grandson, regardless of why..
No word on what role Dennis Rodman would play.. or whose side he’d be on anyway.
AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM! AND ANOTHER STORM!
What am I talking about?
The Northeast.. my home base of Pennsylvania.. And Pennsyltucky, too. A Facebook page I follow (which has been quite accurate this year) is Weatherboy Weather.. Tonight on the page, the weatherboy writes,
If you’re not a fan of wintry weather, you’re not going to like this…
Mid and long range models show more winter weather is on the way for the Mid Atlantic and Northeast, with another threat of accumulating snow likely early next week. There does not appear to be any significant warm-up for the balance of the month. In this region, you’ll need to wait longer for milder spring weather to arrive.
I almost had to laugh when I saw it.. I almost had to … cringe when I thought about it.
I checked some other weather sources and actually checked some other weather models on my own that I had bookmarked, and .. yes.. there is a storm on the map. It would be wintry. And this is the winter that never ends..
Not to be…well…overly politically minded, but was this perhaps a reason Hillary Clinton made big news today by announcing support for gay marriage?? Taking the spotlight off of something potentially .. upsetting? Just a thought.
So is the History Channel’s BIBLE ‘devil’ modeled after Obama? That is apparently the chatter all over the internets today..
The History Channel is responding, as is mark Burnett, who called the story nonsense..
And after all, it did appear in the UK DAILY MAIL..
And now Cyprus is going to steal people’s bank accounts..!
Pay attention to this story (which means avoid American msm and go with other world orgs)
Gas drilling? Fracking? The earth moving under our feet? Any explanation is fair game, as far as I’m concerned.. s
But while they mock him, they also acknowledge there have been a whole bunch of star-studded seizures lately. The latest is Ton Loc, the rapper..
Either there is an enemy within, or lots of Hollywood stars got some bad stuff..
Pink is in Philadelphia tonight.. I had plans to get tickets for my wife and I to go see her. Things fell through .. I can’t say I’m not depressed that we won’t go.. maybe next time. Or Sydney Australia.. right, right.
Maybe next tour.
So if you were a lucky one that got tickets and is in the audience, I’d love to hear from you.. send photos.. videos. Whatever.. Pink me up.
CNN reports:
Two Steubenville high school football players accused of raping an allegedly drunk 16-year-old girl were found guilty by an Ohio judge on Sunday.
Judge Thomas Lipps announced his decision after reviewing evidence presented over four days of testimony in the case against 17-year-old Trent Mays and 16-year-old Ma’lik Richmond
The Pope of surprises.. now he’s making speeches off the cuff, scaring people by showing up in different places around the Vatican, and kissing babies..
As NBC news reported this morning:
Earlier, he began his first Sunday as pontiff by making an impromptu appearance to the public from a side gate of the Vatican, startling passersby and prompting cheers, then kept up his simple, spontaneous style by delivering a brief, off-the-cuff homily at the Vatican’s tiny parish church.
Five men have confessed to gang-raping a Swiss tourist in central India, authorities said Sunday.
Police said they will give out more information at a news conference later in the day.
bus carrying the Seton Hill University women’s lacrosse team crashed into a tree in southern Pennsylvania on Saturday, killing the team’s head coach and the bus driver, authorities said.
Coach Kristina Quigley was six months pregnant and her unborn child did not survive, the Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Department of Public Safety said.
The accident was still under investigation Saturday afternoon, a state police spokesman said.
I haven’t been to church in 15 years. But the new pope makes me wonder if I should go back
A friend of mine.. and a Catholic, who like all Catholics, leaves the faith at some point.
I can say it is interesting that the shear humility that Bergoglio displays may be enough to re-kindle that magic that once was that Catholic church experience.
After all.. what Catholics or former ones don’t get that tingly feeling of joy thinking about the ruler and yardstick beatings at the hands of nuns.. or the hours of mind-numbing Catechism class? Doing it old-school, by the book. big rosaries.. no time for smiles. Just pray. PRAYER DAMMIT, PRAY!
Ok… I had a flashback.
Nonetheless.. anyone who is Catholic or was born such can be happy that finally there’s a Pope who isn’t just dressing fancy and looking like Palpatine from Star Wars.. That’s right.. now we have a Pope with ratty old shoes, a big midsection, and no fancy-dancy outfits with gold-plated underwear.
I just wonder.. will he drive a Popemobile? In keeping with his style.. I figure he’ll be riding high in a Geo Metro. Pope style.
Men who like bigger breasts are more sexist, so they the experts and studies.
The men who reblog or like this post simply because of the woman pictured with giant breasts probably fit into that category.. but do I for posting it? I hope not.
Next time my wife tells me I need new shoes, I’m just going to tell her I’m now being ‘pope-like.’
Here we see an image of Pope Francis’ crusty old pair of black plain (most likely wide-width) tires.. No red Prada like the last pontiff.. no pearls, jewels, pink laces, or sashes.. Just plain old shoes.
I like his style..
Since 1971, doctors have performed 336m abortions and 196m sterilisations, the data reveal. They have also inserted 403m intrauterine devices, a normal birth control procedure in the west but one that local officials often force on women in China
The numbers do not directly equate to “missing” births because some couples who violate the one-child rule have also had abortions or been sterilised, while intrauterine devices can be removed
The flare and CME unleashed by the sun Friday was pointed directly at earth.. As a result a geomagnetic storm and strong northern lights are going to be the result..
In a humorous post, Space weather writes that just in time for St Patrick’s day, the sky may turn green across the United States..
And here is video of the big CME..
Unfortunately for me, it will be cloudy and SNOWING today.. So I won’t see a thing.. Hopefully my electronics still work by Sunday… Because that was one huge CME..
This is from our news photo files in the office — and not photo shopped .. it is bizarre. fb.me/2Jnnem3AO
— Clyde Lewis (@ClydeLewis) March 16, 2013
Well.. isn’t that nice. A new drone could snatch people off the streets.
Expect to see this photo popping up all over your internet sites of choice.. it’s the Pope, with a photo reportedly not photoshopped, featuring a shadow of.. SATAN?
It was uploaded by Clyde Lewis, the radio host I have recently gotten to love..
And while it’s simply a second in time image of a Cardinal’s hat coupled with a longer shadow due to lights ,it certainly makes for interesting conspiracy ..
One comment on Lewis’ Facebook post tonight said,
someone has a picture with a small blue Orb that appeared over his right shoulder - anyone else see it?
Another post said,
Must be a slow conspiracy news day.
You decide.
And for some reason, I expect this debauchery of Americana to be the number one film of the weekend..
I know you all need it.. so here it is. A Bieber update. With my commentary on his future downfall coming.. and why the media will drink up every second..
It’s graphic, unsettling, horrifying, and very real. These kids are sick, and not just the ones who did the act of the rape but also the ones who actively took part in it via text message.. Very sick stuff, read at your own discretion, and maybe just maybe, let your kids see how sick their fellow kids can be.
The Facebook generation can detect falseness and hypocrisy a mile away. They are the core of the ‘leave me alone’ coalition. They doubt that Social Security will be there for them. They worry about jobs and money, rent and student loans. They want leaders that won’t feed them a line of crap or sell them short. They aren’t afraid of individual liberty. Ask them whether we should put a kid in jail for the nonviolent crime of drug use and you’ll hear a resounding no. Ask them if they want to bail out Too-Big-To-Fail banks with their tax dollars. And you’ll hear a hell no. There is nothing conservative about bailing out Wall Street.
Senator Rand Paul, in his speech today at CPAC 2013.
I didn’t get to watch the speech live, but this bit in particular was great.

Never again, right!?
….well….
On second thought.
President Obama says that Iran is one year away from a nuclear weapon….
The ides of March. Back again.
I have two websites, as some of you may know. The other one is the HORRORREPORT.COM, where I espouse crazy conspiracy theories, UFOs, ghosts, and all that jazz. Fun stuff.. paranormal and para-political. But tonight, something freaked me out. The photo you see here is a screen cap of what occurred at 6:06 pm this evening.. my hit counter read 666666, and the headline on the top of the site was somewhat mocking the new Pope calling him “A Pope named Francis,” sort of an allusion to a BOY NAMED SUE by Johnny Cash.
So … as a boy born and raised Catholic would do, I rarely go to Church. I am considering it now though.. the trail of 6’s alarmed me.
I know, I know.. it’s all fake. Not real. No worries. Just numbers. And I know at least four of my followers on a somewhat personal basis to know enough that they are atheists.. So they will tell me it’s all hogwash to begin with. Why fear numbers if there’s no God or Satan..
But something chilled me… A little.
Of course, it is the HORROR REPORT. That’s where scary things are supposed to happen.
Thy intimidated him to do it; they watched him delete..
A media firestorm
Biden’s office now says sorry…
Birds of a feather Assisi together.
While the world was waiting for the new Pope to be revealed, before the white smoke was even rising, birds were resting on the chimney at St. Peter’s Square..
Perhaps only odd because of the Pope’s name. St. Francis of Assisi had a love for animals…his is often painted with birds circling him. And then Cardinal Bergoglio chosen St. Francis as his name, after Francesco di Pietro di Bernardone….
Interesting stuff. I’m sure purely coincidental. right?
Here have been tons of rumors about the Malachy Prophecy of the Popes. You can always check my other site, HorrorReport.com, if you want to see more about that.. In the meantime, on this site I’ll keep things a little more subdued. But i thought I’d reprint an email I shared with friends early this morning:
Subject:
Food for thought
So with ‘Francis’ being named Pope, it’s a common thought that the ‘prophecy of the popes’ has been undone. Or that it was never real to begin with.. But a few elements that people are neglecting to think about on the veracity of the prophecy:
1) Bergoglio is a Jesuit. In the prophecy, the final pope would try to re-establish supremacy of the Catholic Church—something that Jesuits are known for since their main mission is to stop Protestantism from spreading.
2) He took his name from St. Francis of Assisi. The interesting part of that is St. Francis’ full name was Francesco Di Pietro di Bernardone. One priest commentator on CNN last night actually mentioned how, in the Vatican, Bergoglio may be known both as “Francis and Peter”
3) Cardinal Bergoglio obviously was from South America—but both of his parents were Italian.
And finally, whoever saw Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure will surely understand this.. In the film, Pee Wee’s bike was stolen by his neighbor causing him to travel to psychics, giant dinosaurs, and the Alamo’s supposed basement in Texas. And neighbor who stole it was named Francis. How ironic now that Bergoglio picked Francis. Coincidence? You decide. I say we check his Church for stolen bikes.
Ok .. now EVERYONE BACK TO WORK!
I was 13 years young.. not a care in the world—certainly not worried about anyone else. After all, I had three feet of snow in my front yard to play in, and a story of memories. As I said before, even as a kid, I recall that I realized I was living through history. I enjoyed weather and news—I was a TIME and NEWSWEEK magazine subscriber my whole life since 10 after all..
We haven’t had a storm like this in ages.
It was the ‘true’ superstorm.. One that will take quite a bit to be matched.
Andre Linoge was walking around somewhere along the East Coast that week in 1993.. I guarantee it.
DON’T CRY FOR ME ARGENTINA
It’s also being reported that Francis I did not want to be Pope..
Along with his age, he also only has One long, as it was removed when he was younger..
Despite many people believing that the Catholic Church would pick a progressive pope, this Argentinian certainly will not be applauded by those who are more progressive and liberal within the religion.. Look no further handstands on the controversial abortion issue, he is much more hard-line than many popes have been..
Why Billy Joel is cool.
This is what will greet patrons:
And even though the article sort of makes a mockery of the owner and the bar, the points he makes are valid and …quite frankly, I agree wholeheartedly.
I understand a public place is not one where you go to find privacy.. but there’s something different about a dark and smoky bar. Well I guess not smoky, since cigs are banned in places, too.. but you catch my drift.
With Google Glass, all is known.. all is live.. all is streamed. No secrets.
Let’s keep some places sorta private? Please? Let’s keep the dive bar on AnyCorner, USA, a little under the radar? Without that, there’d be no place left to go!
This is a rather creepy photo of Justin Bieber.
The DAILY MAIL reports,
Teen pop idol Justin Bieber turned to Hollywood megastar Will Smith for support and advice amid the chaos surrounding his UK tour last week, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
The Men in Black actor - himself a former child star - became a mentor and ‘father figure’ to the singer as what should have been a triumphant tour was rocked by a string of public relations disasters.
Smith was in London chaperoning his own 14-year-old son Jaden – one of three support acts on Bieber’s sell-out ‘Believe’ tour.
This is all just getting weird, isn’t it?
Justin Bieber is weird already.. but the latest strangeness surrounding his collapse, his gas mask, and his attempt at an erotic tweet of himself in the hospital…. is all just creepy.
He is crashing and burning.. the kid that grew up on YouTube and became a name across the world… isn’t handling fame well, lately.
But who would, really?
Maybe the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is exactly what he needs..
There is a comet in the Western sky tonight. That’s not the scary part.
The scary part is this: An asteroid, only discovered six days ago, is passing relatively close to earth. And it’s as big as a city block—something that would have done a bit of hardcore damage on this planet should it have been heading this way. Luckily for us it’s not, as the Saturday night beer is still cold at your local watering hole.
But this Reuters story is worth reading, and thinking about.. and worrying about..
The money quote:
An asteroid as big as a city block shot relatively close by the Earth on Saturday, the latest in a series of visiting celestial objects including an asteroid the size of a bus that exploded over Russia last month, injuring 1,500.
Discovered just six days ago, the 140-metre long Asteroid 2013 ET passed about 950,000 km from Earth at 3:30 p.m. ET. That’s about 21/2 times as far as the moon, fairly close on a cosmic yardstick.
“The scary part of this one is that it’s something we didn’t even know about,” Patrick Paolucci, president of Slooh Space Camera, said during a webcast featuring live images of the asteroid from a telescope in the Canary Islands.
Moving at a speed of about 41,843 km/h, the asteroid could have wiped out a large city if it had impacted the Earth, added Slooh telescope engineer Paul Cox.
It could have wiped out a city.
And even more alarming, it’s something no one knew about until only a few days ago.. hours, really.
This seems to be the year of the asteroid, the comet, and the ‘disaster.’ So the Mayan were wrong. December 21 ended nothing. But.. what if it began everything?
Professionals are getting ready.. The white smoke will announce a pope. But before that happens, firefighters are getting pieces in order:
The AP reports:
Firefighters on Saturday installed the top of the Sistine Chapel chimney that will signal to the world that a new pope has been elected, as the Vatican took measures to definitively end Benedict XVI’s pontificate.
While construction workers prepared the interior of the frescoed Sistine Chapel for Tuesday’s start of the conclave, officials elsewhere in the Apostolic Palace destroyed Benedict’s fisherman’s ring and the personal seals and stamps for official papers.
The act, coupled with Benedict’s public resignation and pledge of obedience to the future pope, is designed to signal a definitive end of his papacy so there is nodoubt in the church that a new pope is in charge.
It all begins Tuesday.
And call me misinformed, but I never knew they took the chimney away.. I thought it was just always there.. ready to billow out black and white smoke whenever the good Lord called on it to do so..
They all float down there, too, right? Next you’ll tell me that’s not true either..
Well we are here. That stage of parenting when things either get magical or …deplorable. The time when the potty training goes spot on, or you gets spots on everything.. when your child learns to eat new food or just learns to hide it. It’s the dreaded age. Ayden has been two now for several weeks. And funny enough, he’s beginning to act like it.
I am actually impressed with how ‘not terrible’ his terrible 2s have been thus far.. I mean, sure, he did throw a temper fit when Mommy picked him up at day care, as parents and fellow students watched in horror. And yes, he did dart away from Daddy at Crackerbarrel, and almost storm into the kitchen at the same time almost knocking over a waitress with food. But you expect this.. right?
Ayden is a wonderful child. Who is hellbent on being inquisitive, inventive, and, often, terrible. Terrible in a way, of course, that is humorous and wonderful, all the same. He tests the limits. He is beginning to know that Daddy gives in quicker than Mommy. He also knows Grammy and Pop will pretty much do anything for him.. Ayden is acting his age. And despite a few extra stressful moments, it’s wonderful beyond belief.
Watching Ayden grow, learn, and become a toddler is amazing.
I cannot believe how fast two years went by, and sometimes desire to go back in time to a simpler period of life.. when he was learning to crawl, and then walk.. learning to bump his head the right way so it wouldn’t hit.. But seeing him now, as he learns letters and numbers, days of the week, and months of the year, there is something so much better about 2 than 1 and below. NO matter how terrible they will go..
So thanks for humoring me and allowing me to have Saturday night parenting post.
Now it’s time to set the clock ahead.
Thankfully Ayden skipped his nap today in lieu of playing Super Mario Bros on the Wii (or watching Daddy play it).. so he should be just fine..
Spring into action. Sunday funday await.
For some men, even the voice of the woman being spoken to is ignored in favor of the more visual senses..
I took this photo today as i drove by my long gone high school..
With another cold winter ending, the rebirth of spring beginning, Cardinal Brennan sits there vacant.. On a hill in Fountain Springs, PA..
My alma mater now has simply become a relic.. A closed down school in the distance. Memories are fading.. Lives moved on. But what secrets, I often ponder, does that cold building still hold?
Do bells still ring, and do poets still sing? Does an echo survive of time gone?
It’s been 6 years since Cardinal Brennan began the process of shutting down.. That’s six graduating classes that never finished there and two that never even started..
Last century, when times seemed simpler and I was a high school student, I went to this building.. Now it’s empty and desolate.. It’s simply a aging piece of brick and mortar..
But I suspect, in the stillness of the night, the building’s spirits and past somehow lives. At least I’d like to believe that..
From the worst birthday ever to this, according to PEOPLE MAG:
Justin Bieber’s bad week just got worse.
The singer, 19, collapsed on stage at London’s O2 arena on Thursday night after complaining of breathing problems throughout the performance.
“He got oxygen from emergency personnel. He insisted on finishing the show,” his rep tells E!. “He is on the way to the hospital right now.” >
….another day.. another world conflict..
The ides of March.. as North Korea threatens to turn Washington D.C. into a ‘sea of fire’
Late night radio shaking up..
First rumors were wild that Art Bell would return.. those have been squashed by Bell himself, who said he didn’t want to jump into the ‘pit of boiling sewage’ for the wrong reasons..
But now the late night world of radio will be shaken up again like a Japanese earthquake..
According to the St. Louis DISPATCH, George Noory’s Coast to Coast AM will be taken off of the air—in his home city of St. Louis!!! Joe Hollerman reports,
Lauren Ryan, program director at KTRS-AM (“The Big 550”) confirmed that Noory’s late-night show would be off the station in early May. Ryan declined to comment at this time on what show would replace it.Noory also declined to comment, saying he would address the issue in late April
Amazing news..
Radio sources tell the reporter that the landing spot will be KFTK-FM, a conservative talk station.. but the program director at that station would not comment on the situation either..
Long before Noory took over for Art Bell as the host of Coast, he was the ‘Nighthawk’ on KTRS..
We will follow this situation…
But it may be yet more proof that COAST TO COAST AM is drying up without the voice and direction of Bell at the helm..
I’d like to break Strom’s record, but I have discovered there are limits to filibustering, and I have to go take care of one of those
I think is just exciting!
NBC news reported this tonight:
Republican Sens. Mike Lee of Utah, Ted Cruz and John Cornyn of Texas, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania and Marco Rubio of Florida - as well as Democrat Ron Wyden of Oregon — participated.
Over six hours after beginning the filibuster, a visibly tired Paul could be seen eating what appeared to be several pieces of candy in between sentences. At one point, Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., set a thermos and an apple on his desk.
The Kentucky Sen. has been filibustering the nomination since around 11 o’clock this morning, he is now going into our number nine and was joined by some Republicans and one Democrat.. Paul Is being very critical of the Obama administration and their policy that may allow for the use of drones to kill Americans on US soil..
I always had a special place in my heart for a filibuster, ever since I watch the show Highway to Heaven in the 1980s when one episode starred John Forsythe Filibustering an issue and dying of a heart attack on the Senate floor..
At this point mainstream media is going to have to start paying attention to what’s happening on the Senate floor.. For those who thought that Rand Paul just looks like a Confederate Muppet, they may get a different perspective of him as a power player on the political scene in Washington DC after this event
Seriously folks, when someone can filibuster for nine hours plus you know he’s dedicated to an issue, regardless of what you think about him or that issue
William Moody is dead. Wrestling fans may not know that name, but they would Paul Bearer—the character Moody is known for..
For year, he was the manager of the Undertaker on WWF wrestling, now WWE.
He died Tuesday evening.. he was only 58
I am pretty sad by this one.. childhood has another nail in the coffin, I guess you could say. I grew up being amazed with the faces that Moody was able to make..
The WWE official site is also recognizing 20 years of entertainment fans..
And no tackiness or pun intended.. but hopefully William Moody will rest in peace.
And if the FBI even DARES try to spy on Tumblr users, they will undoubtedly be shocked at the amount of moving GIFs and kittens that exist..
And I bet all he found was how to cook horse…
Sick story nonetheless..
'FOR YOUR EYES ONLY' by Sheena Easton.
It didn’t happen to me.. but it sure would be awkward.
Thanks to my news-junkie sister, I have been alerted today to Fox News’ main page.. where I saw this photo of ‘guards’ at the Vatican as the conclave gathers. A few thoughts come to mind.. most initially, the guards have the garb that is unlike guards, and more like court jesters. Perhaps that’s fitting—since it’s the jesters leading in the clowns to choose the next grand marshal of the parade..?
But my sister and I had the same thought: We went through 12 years of Catholic school.. we had the religion classes, the Catechism .. the lessons on the purity and piety of the Pope. But never were told that the Vatican guards would look as ridiculous as they do! Never were we told the true history of the sneaky secrets of Vatican City. I’d dare say most Catholic schools in our current day aren’t giving kids too many lessons about butlers being held in solitary confinement in underground Vatican jail cells. My big ‘sis’ and I spend lots of time rummaging through news articles and facts as though the internet was a big yard sale.. but this is still the first time I have seen these men. I guess they were just always in the background.. perhaps when Pope John Paul II met his fate we only saw pictures of white smoke. I don’t recall seeing these outfits .. or they were just background music to the real story taking place??
Now that I’ve seen the Vatican ‘guards,’ I felt like I needed to be a good world citizen and educate myself a bit more about the awful outfits. With help from the always shaky information you can find on Wikipedia. And Google images will help with all of the pictures I need to give me all I need to know and see of the Papal Swiss Guard. Another article I read about these guards tell me they played a central role in the Pope’s retirement. The article reports information I never knew:
The corps, which some historians consider the oldest standing army in the world, was founded in 1506 by Pope Giulio II. Tradition has it that he was so impressed by the bravery of Swiss mercenaries that he asked them to defend the Vatican. Ever since, for more than 500 years, Switzerland has been supplying soldiers to the Vatican. The Swiss Guards swear an oath to give up their lives to protect the pope — and in centuries past, they have. In 1527, 147 of them died protecting Pope Clement VII as he fled to safety when the troops of Emperor Charles V sacked Rome.
Such amazing outfits! Amazing.. I never realized how much I didn’t know about this world until I saw the striped clothing with cock-like tops. (And I’m talking about chickens.) So call me a dumb hick.. hillbilly..coal region no-body.
But I’m quite proud I learned something new about the Pope and his chosen army..
I miss Art Bell. I get so incensed with rage at the lack of understanding and the stupidity of George Noory… and John B. Wells is ok.
So for a few months now I’ve been trying an alternative. I switched brands.. from Coke to Pepsi.. from Coast to Ground Zero Radio with Clyde Lewis.
I’ll still pop into the Coast to Coast AM show when things seem interesting..Though when Noory hosts even the best topics turn into a watered-down mess of note card questions and lame radio..
As for Clyde Lewis? I like him. He was a little much at first. I never heard him, only heard OF him.. His show can be overtly political. He buys into a few conspiracy theories I don’t.. However, he has a gift of radio—his voice is great, his enthusiasm is even better.. His topics and subjects remind me of Art Bell’s old days on Coast. Lewis has a little different edge to him..
So .. How many out there listen as well?
And if you do, is it because Clyde Lewis on his own is a great radio show host with a spectacular show or just because George Noory has taken a wonderful program about the mind and the world and trashed it like a New Orleans alleyway on Mardi Gras?
Opinions please, I’m wondering.?
And besides.. which one looks ‘cooler’ ..
Which is the polite Royal term to describe what commoners would call ‘shittin and pukin’ at the same time. Either that or a royal miracle has occurred and she’s with child.
The Royal Groom of the Stool must have had a busy week.
It happened on Friday. I have been feeling guilty ever since. I have no choice but to … throw it away into the landfill with all the other trash.
But … then again, what’s my little bad compared to the giant cesspool that has become the Pacific ocean, right?
So.. I’m trying to feel less guilty about this.
Help me.
(And why can’t we just find a planet that will be our trash dump? Come on, NASA, there’s trillions of possibilities.)
And replacing Jimmy Fallon on LATE NIGHT: David Letterman. Just kidding.
Actually.. I think it’s time for a woman to take over some air time on late night TV.. And no, not Oprah. I think the best choice for the future of late night would be Chelsea Handler. I am serious about that. She would bring a creative feeling to late night—and if she’s put into the Fallon slot, she would be able to continue her irreverent style of comedy..
Leno has grown extremely stale. So has Letterman—anyone who is still a David Letterman fan is only one for two reasons: 1) They were fans since the Late Night days and 2) out of respect because of his late night days.
As for Fallon? I’ve never been overly fond of him..
But Chelsea Handler can re-invigorate late night TV.
And for God’s sake, isn’t it time that corporate executives try to bring a female into the fold of TV show history? I say yes.
Lots of people are being critical of Dennis Rodman meeting with Lil Kim in Korea.. others are simply confused by the whole event.
As for me? perhaps it’s high time to hire on Rodman for the CIA or any other alphabet organization. After all, if you can make Lil Kim smile and laugh, maybe you can stop from from creating a conflagration of nuclear hell on earth? Just maybe.
And for kicks, throw in Michael Jordan.. Just keep ShaQuille O’Neal away from the scene.
Tonight, also, tragic news: The end of the search for Jeff Bush. Authorities have stopped their rescue attempt..
I heard someone making jokes today about the sinkhole that swallowed Jeff Bush in his bedroom in Seffner, Florida.. The story is disturbing, but someone making light of a horrid situation like this may be worse..
Sinkhole are a big story around the world. The media typically pays little attention to them, but they happen .. a lot. And increasingly, as some websites have reported, there seems to be an altogether weakening of the earth’s crust below us.
This sinkhole situation in Florida isn’t the typical one.. this time, someone most likely died in the event. And also this time, as opposed to the typical reporting we get, the media is paying attention and giving us more information than usual. Maybe for ratings? Maybe because there is a human tragedy? Maybe because, after all the ignorance to the earth’s changes, people are finally becoming rattled by the shaky ground beneath them..
A story on CNN tonight details a sad interview with the victim’s brother, Jeremy Bush.. He said he was able to hear his brother screaming before he was gone. Four other people, including a 2-year-old child, escape from the home in Florida .. but Jeff Bush could not. He was peacefully in is bedroom when the ground gave out..
Rescuers have not gone into the house yet, according to CNN, because the situation is too dangerous.. As a matter of fact, reporting late tonight indicates that the sinkhole is spreading and the entire house is in dangerous of being swallowed up by it..
We will continue to watch this story as it develops. It’s what we do here.
But also what we do in situations like this, is pray and hope for some type of light to be seen in the darkness.. to hope for good over bad.. to hope that this man is either alive, or if not, has peacefully gone to the next realm, whatever that realm may be..
