Good evening all..
It’s sundown…
Somewhere. Here.. there. Always.
Good winter evening everyone..
I am from Pennsylvania.
I use cooking wine.
But I buy it only in the state store (we are one of the last two states with state run liquor here in the Keystone State.)
I would never imagine using cooking wine for a cheep drunk.
But then again, kids are also using CROCYDIL.
So they aren’t alright.
Well at least he’s not naked with a horse.
First look at Daniel Radcliffe in FRANKENSTEIN..
You know, he looks a lot like a woman I saw yesterday in Pottsville.
CNN is about to make a major change and have LESS news.. Well, the Weather Channel stopped airing weather..
The Central New Network may as well fire all their newscasters..
Call me crazy, but I miss the days of CNN’S HEADLINE NEWS back in the early days when they’d have a live broadcast, every half hour, of the news of the moment. Am I dating myself with that one?
But it was CNN HEADLINE NEWS—-real news—like NEWS. And not just blips and beeps coming from talking heads. I am tired of politics.. I am tired of the ‘right wing and left wing’ arguments, arguments that go no where and are tired out from their own weight of hair air. And now CNN will air less news..
I am releasing a big ‘sigh.’
I suppose this is only more evidence to show why millions of people go immediately to the INTERNET and Twitter for news—news you cannot find, or ever will, on any news network on the TEE VEE..
Heads up United States—it’s going to be so cold your spit will freeze. Even more, it could kill. Not a situation to be ignored—this is the coldest air in the United States in 20 years (And it’s early for it, too) ..
This is so cool.. Beautiful sight! Rare weather event fills the Grand Canyon with fog..
I envy anyone who saw this firsthand..
Good evening all!!!
THIS IS THE REUTERS DISPATCH:
Venezuela’s second massive power outage of the year plunged much of the nation into darkness on Monday night, prompting renewed talk of sabotage from President Nicolas Maduro’s government and cries of incompetence from its foes.
Power went off in Caracas and other cities around the country soon after 8 p.m. local time (0030 GMT), to the intense annoyance of residents and commuters.
Intense anger is being expressed by citizens who are without electricity …
Can this get any worse?
I know we are going with the word of a hacker—but I’d take the word of a hacker over other experts..
This may be worse than the website not working.

More scary Google patent news: Google files patent for robot that writes your Facebook posts, emails and tweets - but will need FULL access to scan your accounts It would study you, be you, and mimic you.

What if we are all bots?
This is a ride down to the abyss, where your mind will be dead to ‘them’ and your body will simply be a cavern of organs, blood, and a semi-beating heart.
Nothing stopping them now.
"Comfort station" in old coal city Pottsville PA is a thing of the past.. The economic downtown and a city in distress—as many cities are these days..
Well here in the coal region, the Monday after Thanksgiving means only one thing: Deer season.
I’m grateful because there is a less chance through the winter that Bambi and children will smash into my window..
However, as this horrendous song (but overly played today in Pennsylvania) proves, not all hunters are on the march for a deer.. maybe instead they are just getting drunk and wearing dirty underwear.
Oh the coal region.
I have fond memories years ago of my father telling me to either ‘wear orange’ when I leave the house or just stay in the basement all day, because drunk hunters have terrible shots.
Maybe my dad was right about these precautionary actions. I am still alive today.
And one day I will express the same warnings to my own son…
This is an absolutely *(to me)* amazing story appearing in NATURE.. Apparently dinosaurs used a community bathroom back in their day.. A latrine used by all! Dinos included.
And now we know where it is..
Good evening all…
Plus an infared drone proved that the 50 year old mine fire was still glowing strong deep in the coal mines of Centralia.
Cool stuff.
I knew a few former residents (maybe family included) that refused to watch this show tonight because it included David Dekok. I never blamed him for anything, instead he did his job as a good reporter.
Nonetheless, science proves what some residents deny: The mine fire is a problem and remains one, even though those remaining few say there are no dangers.
Now my only question: What other towns will it spread to?
Would you eat a carrot grown no the moon? The question is, at this time, would a carrot even grow on the moon?
NASA is exploring the notion that we will one day, in the distant future perhaps, live on our satellite. And in doing so, they are also set to experiment with the possibility of growing food on it.
And the DAILY MAIL reports that experts think if plants can survive there, humans can too.
It all takes place in 2015.
The real question humans should ask themselves: Where are we going to start putting all of our garbage? Our cans, our boxes.. our plastic.. and our dreaded Styrofoam? I think it’s high time, with all these planets KEPLER has been finding, to get a big rocket ship and do daily deliveries of our trash to foreign lands. Perhaps that planet made of glass! Or maybe the one that is 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit! I know, we can send them into the black hole that is glowing with bright light!
Come on humans.. aren’t we tired of ruining our own planet with trinkets and useless trash?! Is it not time to branch out and ruin foreign and distant planets? It’s the human way! Reach out and touch the stars, and secretly throw your old McDonalds bag of rubbish out the window when no one’s looking.
But in the mean time, we’ll take it slow. First up: GROW FOOD ON THE MOON!
It’s a small step for plants, a giant leap for plant kind.
Good luck with that.
AMAZON is going to deliver your package with drones—not armed, I imagine, unless you consider a piece of junk made in China to be a weapon..
Seriously, Jeff Beezos showed CHARLIE ROSE all of the gadgets and contraptions that will make drone delivery possible tonight on 60 MINUTES.
Goodbye post office. So long UPS. FEDEX is not even a match.
No, not at all.
Not when you have drones…
At least if this happens, innocent Pakistani school kids won’t be killed in ‘collateral damage’ for no reason.
But what if the people of Pakistan order from Amazon? Drones to the rescue while others bomb?
Oh the future prospects of this are … startling. AND COMING SOON TO A SKY NEAR YOU.
If you’re slightly or really interested in the story of the town that was, tune in tonight, Sunday December 1, to the Travel Channel at 10pm tonight
I’ll be curious to see how much justice is done to the Centralia memory. I never expect much, that way I’m not agitated by a less than fair portrayal ..
It was for ‘the best’ they say…
So they drugged her and performed a C section to remove her child.
Her apparent crime was ‘suffering a mental breakdown’..
Oh, and she’s not getting her baby back.
I had a brief conversation with my wife yesterday.. we pondered our existence, and wondered if ‘time’ is really going as fast as we perceive it.
My only argument was that the major earthquakes on this planet over the past decade did speed us up fractions of a millisecond—that was scientifically proven. Maybe that slight alteration in time does something to us over time.. maybe it in fact does make us feel that the passage of time—and in essence our trek around the sun—is changed.
Or..
It’s because we have a child, and now a dog, and a rush of life with work and few pleasure. Could it be the plague of parents—the idea that you’re watching your child grow too fast and also facing your own eventual ‘ending’? It’s already December.
So it’s true that life has accelerated. Or that the parental brain drain has set in..
I don’t know.
But things seem to be rushing by lately.
Any takers on telling me why?
This is a full video of Comet ISON starting November 26 through today, November 30. Clearly, the comet vanished.. Reappeared. And now, maybe, is vanishing again.
Ison may have been like a cat coming back, but in the last few frames, it does not appear to be much of anything.
So.. who will pronounce Ison dead and when..?
This death count website serves as a grim reminder of the lengths people go to for a black friday deal.
The Black Friday death count.
Now that you’re all done shopping, presuming you were in the capitalist druglike euphoria on Black Friday and THANKSGIVING NIGHT was it worth it?
And if you saw one of the 7 deaths and 88 injuries (known so far), would you still do it all over again…?
I fear your answer is yes.
This Nanticoke PA crime is a bit shocking, given the circumstances.. The elderly woman was 97 years old and was beaten to death.
The timing was equally offensive: It happened on Thanksgiving night.
Trouble has come to your little town, sheriff..
For anyone not from the coal region of Pennsylvania, the notion that a hospital being auctioned off and an old school being knocked down may not mean much..
But it meant a lot for me today.
It just so happened that Black Friday this year was filled with the voyage back in time, to the deepest and darkest pits of my memory.
I was born in the Ashland Regional Medical Center in September 1980. Today, that building, most recently known as St. Catherine’s Medical Center, was auctioned off and all of the possessions within it were liquidated— bankruptcy occurred last year that caused the closure of St. Catherine’s and the unemployment of almost 200 workers
Then came the other vision, I knew that Immaculate Heart Elementary School in Girardville PA would be knocked down but was still shocked to see have you equipment demolishing the school today as I drove by. I went to that school starting in the sixth grade, in those mid-1990s when everything seemed great.
So much of my memories are now gone.
The town I was born in, Centralia, is empty. Every school prior to the university I attended are all closed. The hospital I was born in.. gone.
It would be selfish to make this situation about myself, there were many people born in the hospital over the past 100 years and with its rich history, many people died there to. And as for the school, there are thousands of people who have memories of that building, the one ripped down today.
There seems to be a deeper meaning to these two these events taking place on Black Friday, while everyone was out shopping until they were dropping, old memories, and laughter and sadness, were wiped clean.
It is also a signal sign that the once great cold region of eastern Pennsylvania is releasing a deep sigh of death. You cannot drive through the towns of Schuylkill County and escape it. There is no growth, there is no exceptionalism, and there is only a melancholy sadness for the past and constant attempt to keep a spirit of something from the late 1930s alive—a time when the area boomed with wealth and culture. There are few signs of those times now..
That of course does not mean there is not hope, nor does not mean that changes will not come to benefit the area eventually. But right now on this day, this year, buildings are dilapidated, structures are unsound, and beacons of things that once were are being demolished or sold off to the lowest bidder.
And yes, childhood memories from birth through Catholic grade school are being quickly extinguished because of either profiteering hospital owners or legal liabilities of the Catholic Church
There is no escaping that truth, no matter what coal mine you try to use as shelter..
Mark Dice makes me laugh again.. shouting people down for shopping too early.
Classic..
Seriously America, are TVs worth this!?
For the record.. this is the moment that the former St. Catherine hospital, and Ashland hospital, in Ashland Pennsylvania did NOT sell.
Black Friday was a bust for the bankruptcy sale.
This is the former Ashland hospital, it is in Pennsylvania and it is filled with history of coal miners, baby births, life and death.
It has been closed for over a year due to a series of financially catastrophic events and it has gone bankrupt. Now today there is a public auction of everything in it along with the building and real estate itself.
I was born here, but I will not die here.
It will most likely never be a hospital again, that is a shame.
I can say much much more, but I will refrain from that on such a public forum as this website.
Maybe one day.
Be proud America. This is you.
Some images and videos of Black Friday madness. Humanity at its worst over material garbage.
My least favorite term being said by everyone today is ‘doorbuster prices’ I always hated that term.
I think it’s more offensive this year since shopping started thanksgiving night and the term was used much earlier than normal.
I think on 2014, we should start the door buster Black Friday sales on Halloween night. Why not.
Don’t get bruised. Don’t get battered.
Chances are, you were already.
When I was driving home with my wife and child from our Thanksgiving family affair, we passed by a Walmart. The place was mobbed with people and cars—so many that people started parking in a dirt and muddy lot that separates the store from the town of St. Clair, PA. God bless the workers tonight who will be faced with bruising and battering that was mentioned above.
People in pajamas flocking to the aisle with the cheap TV. People donning their finest spandex while they flea for iPhones and pads. Maybe iPads.
It was a little horrifying to see so many people out and about in Thanksgiving taking part in such rampant materialism. Couldn’t they wait until 3am for those ‘doorbusters.’…?
And speaking of doorbusters. I have come to despise that word over the past 36 hours.

It’s still possible that the initial reports of ISON’s demise were exaggerated. “It is now clear that Comet ISON either survived or did not survive, or… maybe both,” Bruce Betts, director of projects for the Planetary Society, said in a Twitter update. “Hope that clarifies things.”
What we know: Not much yet.
We can guess, and some shots would appear that ISON is alive and well..or at least half alive and still moving.
Earlier today everyone, including NASA, pronounced this potentially historic comet dead. That does not seem to be the case as more analysis is done. Joshua Filmer of the site FROM QUAKES TO QUASARS wrote this tonight:
As I stated before, as the comet approached the Sun, something happened and ISON started to smear. It looked like the comet fizzed out before it even got started. Even if ISON disintegrated, scientists were suppose to see debris left over (which would be better for professional study, though not so good for amateur astronomy), but everything, the comet, the tail, everything, just vanished. Dean Pesnell, a project scientist with SDO summarized it most eloquently by saying “I’d like to know what happened to our half a mile of material that was going around the sun. Now’ it’s broken up and I didn’t see anything.”
Currently, material has reemerged from the other side of the Sun’s Corona. This is either a continuation of the tail that ISON left behind, or the comet itself. Current speculation is the dust that we see is simply dust, orbiting exactly as it should. The nucleus is probably lost.
It is pretty fascinating stuff—especially amazing to see so much disagreement still on what we are seeing having emerged from ISON’s encounter with the sun..
This tonight is, as as Phil Plait writes, a comet eager to confuse.
Hopefully definite answers are forthcoming..
Eyes on the sky. We may see a century event after all..
The dud of the century. It appears Ison has not survived its trip to the sun…
Does it mean turkey?
Does it mean you’re going to have to work retail for sub-par wages?
Does it mean football?
Does it mean family?
Does it mean Christmas is coming?
Does it mean the winter is here, that the year is winding down?
Does it mean tales of Pilgrims and Native Americans?
Does it mean the stories of Thanksgiving massacres not told in history books?
Or none of the above.
Or something else.
What does it mean to you?

The glare of the sun has blocked most ground-based observations for now, but NASA has a fleet of spacecraft watching as ISON plunges toward the sun. Two space telescopes recorded images of the comet after it started acting like it was falling apart. NASA’s STEREO satellite and later the ESA/NASA SOHO spacecraft both spotted ISON.The images indicate that ISON is on course and “is seen to brighten … a reasonably bright tail might develop as the comet reappears,” said Padma Yanamandra-Fisher with observing campaign.
Big news from the New York TIMES. They published a nipple on their front page today. Twitter quickly called it a “nip slip” and other media publications reacted in kind.
It brings a few things up in my mind. First off, have they gone ‘unfit to print’ with this? Nah.. Really.. they only show a slight portion of the nipple, in all honesty.
Why are we see infatuated with the nipple? On TV, you can see an entire breast as long as there is a pasty overtop of the areola? And really, this whole prudish indignation we have about nipples is only made more ridiculous when you realize that 80% of the people ‘offended’ by the public display of a crescent nipple are probably involved with some nefarious sexual proclivities themselves.
And would a nipple be as offensive as, say, it was on a foot?
This is also a little reminiscent of the TIME magazine cover story on breasfeeding in 2012.
Let’s be perfectly honest. Sex sells. If a nipple gets a little attention to someone, and forces a story about breast cancer screening to get some more traction, so be it. Newspapers and magazine are left with few ideas to sell their paper.
If someone is reading the NY TIMES online, chances are they are doing it either before or after looking at porn. Real porn with full nipples uncovered.
Finally, America, we can be thankful of one thing: At least the TIMES chose not to put the old gray lady’s nipple front and center.
This is going down a road that we may not want to..
Scientists are learning how to shape our memory by testing chemicals that can DELETE THEM!
Some memories are bad, and some who have went through awful stuff, well, they just want to forget it.
But when power as this rests in the hands of an elite few, to what end does that justify? Deleting memories, forever?
Shaping the reality we have lived? I find this scientific endeavor to be dangerous..
Holiday hell: The 2013 holiday shopping season may end up being remembered for its ugly sweaters and, for many retailers, even uglier discounts… A growing weak economy, no fashion trends, and no must haves.. it’s a year of jitters and sputtering.. a holiday season without guidance, or fun. Instead people are just going to try to make it through December and be fine..
But this will still be the Thanksgiving choice: Have dessert, or go shopping?
The UK GUARDIAN published a great story on he holiday shopping world we are about to enter.. The paper writes that Christmas is just an excuse to sell more useless crap. George Monbiot penned an article that would never have made it by editors in the United States starting with this sentence: “A global bullshit industry recruits the values with which we’d like the festival to be invested – to sell things no one wants”
This is a fascinating story: Welcome to Cicada 3301, the internet mystery that has the world baffled..
I’ll admit I had to read it about three times to fully grasp it, telling me that I will never be a cracked code breaker or CIA employee..
If you like liberty, personal freedom, and privacy, avoid any black Friday deals with the XBOX Kinect. It listens to you, it actually loves to listen to you. And as GIZMODO reports, it will also run you into future trouble if you use cuss words.
But does it go even deeper? Is Microsoft monitoring your Skype calls for swear words?
May your holiday homecoming be safe and sound. And without a mess around.
Travel safe. And wise.
Weird booms were heard a few years prior to big quakes along the New Madrid fault line in the 1800s.
Also a great comet appeared in the sky.
Booms are heard today.. we’re told a comet may appear—if Ison breaks up there are three more ‘horsemen’ on the way.. way too weird, don’t you think?

There is conflicting information circulating today regarding the Comet of the Century, Ison.
On one hand, an expert named Stephen Lowry was quoted in the IB TIMES today saying that Ison is breaking up and may not survive its trip around the sun.. Lowry is a senior lecturer at the Centre for Astrophysics and Planetary Science School of Physical Sciences at the University of Kent Canterbury.. He told the publication that he does not think the comet will survive, commenting, “New reports show rapid decrease in gas emissions from the comet and a rapid increase in dust. Now these are early reports so we could be wrong. But for me personally I don’t think it’s likely to survive.”
And on the other hand…
A video update of Ison seems to paint a different picture..
Here it is for your enjoyment and knowledge:

We will see what occurs with this comet in a matter of days.
Tonight, CNN is reporting that the comet may be falling apart as it nears the sun..
The moment of truth comes on Thanksgiving.
It’s fiction.
Right?
How true is this ONION article for you?
The comet of the century!!!
So that big light show? Gone.
So now we are only left with three other comets if this occurs. The four horsemen of the apocalypse will potentially lose a rider
A massive sinkhole has developed in Bosnia, shocking those who see it, and pervading a seemingly peaceful countryside with a shocking image of how cruel the planet earth can be.
The ASSOCIATED PRESS dispatch reports it this way:
SANICA, Bosnia-Herzegovina — Just outside the rustic village, children fished in a tranquil pond bobbing with green algae and lined with willow trees, as cattle grazed nearby.
Now, Rezak Motanic gazes in disbelief down a gigantic moonlike crater where the pond used to be. It’s like something from a science fiction movie: a sinkhole swallowed the water, the fish and even nearby trees.
To the weary eyes strained on daily news, this should come as no shock. There seems to be an increased amount of sinkholes across the crust lately. Maybe we can chalk it up to increased attention, or …just maybe there are more of them.
The prospects of having a pond filled with fish and life simply vanish before you eyes is unbelievable.
And as these things go, the AP reports, townsfolk are coming up with paranormal ideas and dismissing scientific ones. The most interesting of thoughts: The owner of the pond just died—and took the pond with him.
While some may scoff at those with superstitious theories, think of this: The amount of hell on earth that Bosnia went through is inescapable. It’s no shock that they believe that evil can be alive and well under their feet—paranormal is what they lived with for thirty years.
The AP story ended like this:
"Only days before Hasan passed away he said: ‘I’ll take everything with me when I die.’ And that’s what he did," Motanic said. "His daughter saw him walk on the lake the night he died."
Husein Nanic said it could be a sign that the end is nigh: “All sort of miracles happen before the doomsday,” he said.
A little stroll through daily headlines may leave us all with the impression that the Mayan calender may have been off about twelve months.
A very bad santa.
The Associated Press reports this:
A man who played Santa Claus at a Massachusetts mall has been barred from the shopping center after he was charged with groping an 18-year-old woman playing an elf.
Herbert Jones was released on $1,000 bail after pleading not guilty Monday to indecent assault and battery. A judge ordered him to stay away from the Hanover Mall and barred him from playing Santa anywhere pending the outcome of his case.
I always find it to be a shame when men who play Santas do these things, especially when they have REAL beards! It takes dedication to look like Santa for 11 months of the year.. only to screw it up because you can’t keep your yuletide joy to yourself.
No word from Mrs. Claus on the event..
I saw some anger about this report—some of the families of those slain by Lanza appeared to be hostile to this report. One analysis I read said that it’s a detailed report and really did not have to be. The report in essence was only to determine if any more suspects should be arrested. It could have been only one page long with one sentence on it, but instead the State’s Attorney’s report is more detailed..
The overall hint is that the gun violence and mental illness of Lanza became a deadly combination.
The good part of this whole horrible event is that maybe something will finally take place to improve mental health in the United States. The WASHINGTON TIMES reports,
Rep. Tim Murphy, Pennsylvania Republican, said last week he intends to introduce legislation next month “to fix the problems that have plagued the nation’s mental health system for decades.”
He said in 1955 there were 550,000 psychiatric beds and today there are fewer than 40,000, that the standard to make sure a mentally ill person gets treatment is unworkable, and that federal privacy laws make information-sharing in such cases difficult.
“We have to advance this so we have a key to unlock the door,” Mr. Murphy said. “I ask my colleagues to join me in working for these mental health reforms so that families can share the joy of recovery, instead of the sadness of loss.”
As far as Lanza and the lack of a motive: Would a motive have really made any more sense to this senseless evil? Would a reason to kill innocent beautiful children given any more help to those grieving, almost one year since the nightmare stole Christmas in 2012?
I say no.
I recall how sad those days were after this shooting.
And now a year later we are reminded of it all over again.
I don’t think a motive would have even made sense … Nothing can make sense of what Adam Lanza did that fateful December morning in 2012..
Two Billy Joel songs unite.. JFK blown away.. and it will give you a heart attack-ack-ack-ack ack. You ought to know by now.
The history of history in 2 minutes.
The latest event to raise my conspiracy-tainted eyebrows: The Vatican has Peter the Roman on the display—the first pope—and it’s the first time. It’s happening under the watchful pontificate of Pope Francis.
Reports indicate that the bones of the body supposedly of Peter.
Does this pope knowingly make these allusions to St Peter just to mess with people?
The ATLANTIC article is fascinating.. Mapping how we say certain words tells a story of who we are and shows a picture of how we migrate.
I reported on this about a month ago for the first time, it was around Halloween when I took note of some stories on this island.
Since then I have noticed much more attention being paid, in this article summed up the mysterious darkness that surrounds the silent night..
Will this change the timeline that some people thought the human race is on?
Well, not the actual grape, but the life form that exists in the bag of them.
A few days ago, a friend showed me a video cell phone video from her daughter—it was a video of a spider crawling around in a bowel. I was told: She went to a big grocery store and bought a bag of grapes. When she came home, she found a black widow lurking within her fruit.. When she returned the grapes, the store manager said that he heard other states had the same reports.
And now this..
There is a story online today about a woman who found a black widow spider in her grapes .. in Pennsylvania. The story is NOT about my friend’s daughter—but the story if certainly similar. And her story is also the same as others from the nation, in which people in several states are reporting this sudden rash of venomous spiders..
I often wonder if stories like this are just another little urban legend, a blip on the rumor radar—intensified by the free wheeling internet. But I bring myself back to reality with this little fact: ANY black widow spider on grapes found could be potentially deadly..
Clean your grapes.
And watch for the spiders with hour glass red ..
Nothing creepy about this, now is there?
You are looking at an image of the official portrait of the Danish Royal Family by Thomas Kluges. And it’s really, really weird.
GAWKER has some observations on the matter.. GAWKER described the painting the best, and I will not even try to match it. Caity Weaver wrote:
The painting depicts three generations of royals, all eerily aglow as if they have just feasted on a village of Thomas Kinkade’s flaming houses, dressed in various articles of clothing proportionate to their size. Its members engage in their various favorite pastimes: holding onto a baby’s leg; constructing a tower to heaven as an affront to God; using black magic to animate a toy horse, causing it to prance and lurch with queer, jerky motions. In the foreground, an 8-year-old bores into the souls of those Beyond The Fourth Wall. Behind the group: the ruins of the city they have destroyed.
The ghastly image is terrifying. Though the official description of the painting says the Royals are featured ‘their own universe’ in plain clothing, it looks more like the cover of a bad horror flick. The only thing missing on the girl in the left hand corner is blood dripping from her mouth. The boy directly in the middle appears to be a harbinger to an OMEN sequel, and faces on the grown men appear to be hiding a undesirable scowl of evil.
It has been called terrifying.
…horrifying..
UPI says it will haunt your dreams.
Can anyone really disagree with those hypotheses on the art?
And here is a must read for a chuckle: Check out the comments section on official Kluge painting website. They are formulating a hypothesis that it appears the Danish royals are feasting on the blood of innocent peasants.
Your eyes are not fooling you.. You are seeing two children in this photo—though only one child was present when the picture was snapped.
According to NEWS 9 in Oklahoma, Scott McCabe was taking a photo of his son’s cousin on his cell phone. McCabe’s son was not there because he died on May 20 in the Oklahoma tornado at Plaza Towers Elementary—the school devastated when the storm his. McCabe believes that his son is present in the photo of the girl, named Madison, with sparklers on the Fourth of July..
McCabe has faced some criticism online, with some accusing him of faking the photo. But I watched the interview that NEWS 9 had with McCabe. I saw a man who was humbled and brought to tears. I saw someone who found comfort in this photo..
And that may be all that really matters.
Comfort.
Peace of mind.
Love.
Art Bell announced yesterday that he was throwing in his towel and choosing to not fight Sirius XM radio. They are holding him to a non compete after his brief stint on satellite radio ended abruptly after his ‘Spooky Matter’ Halloween show.
But now news is coming from Bell that his fans—and competitors in a sense—may benefit from his absence from radio. Artbell.com is planning on utilizing free streaming to simulcast paranormal and other related programs. There is already a planned schedule at the website put up by webmaster Keith Rowland.. The announcement on the main page reads:
While we wait for Art’s return, we’ll be offering up other Internet radio shows on our LIVE stream, for your listening pleasure.
Monday - Paranormal Podcast w/Jim Harold
Tuesday - The Spec Sheet w/MV and Curtis
Wednesday - Podcast UFO w/Martin and Sam
Programs start at 8 PM East / 5 PM West
The stream will be running 15 minutes before the scheduled time of the show. Watch for more shows to appear here. If you have a show and would like to be streamed here, contact webmaster@artbell.com.
This could be an exciting time for someone who wants to take a foot int he door approach.
There seem to be a void needing to be filled with Bell’s departure. Sure, Coast to Coast AM exists, but in the current incarnation, we know it lacks the zeal and spontaneity that Art Bell brought to radio.
Now with the Dark Matter network, there seems to be a chance to do something new, creative, and cool on line.
This is the latest GFS model run. If you’re driving anywhere you see blue and purple on the East Coat this Thanksgiving eve, get prepared. It may be a ‘planes, trains, and automobiles’ type of scenario for you, with snow ruining many people and their voyages..
BUT..
At this point computer guidance is still crazy… nothing seems to be resembling any consistent or coherent forecast at this point.
It seems that models are converging no the notion that a snow event somewhere will happen.
But where? What timing?
Check back on that.
There are some historic developments taking place in Geneva today/tonight/now:
From the WASHINGTON POST report file this hour by Anne Gearan and Joby Warrick:
Iran and six major powers agreed early Sunday on an historic deal that freezes key parts of Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for temporary relief on some economic sanctions, diplomats confirmed.
The deal was reached after four days of marathon bargaining and an 11th-hour intervention by U.S. Secretary of State John F. Kerry and other foreign ministers from Europe, Russia and China. the sources said.
The agreement, sealed at 3 a.m. signing ceremony in Geneva’s Palace of Nations, requires Iran to halt or scale back parts of it nuclear infrastructure, the first such pause in more than a decade.
The report goes on to say that this deal with make it virtually impossible for Tehran to build a nuclear weapon.. so we are told.
The good, the bad, and the ugly.
HUNGER GAMES is setting some box office theaters on proverbial fire with a pre-Thanksgiving weekend romp.. It’s going to be a big movie when final numbers come out.
Just in my little neck of the woods, the theater at the Schuylkill Mall in Frackville PA actually devoted all of its theaters to this film on Friday due to the demand for ticket sales. And even my quiet and reserved brother, who seldom takes part in such affairs, went to the movies with his family to see this film. If Lionsgate got my brother, well hell they could get anyone.
The other part of this weekend’s box office is just how bad Vince Vaughn is doing. According to the DEADLINE breakdown from Friday night’s box office, the DELIVERY MAN is a big bust.. But next to HUNGER GAMES, nothing really can compete.
We are told that experts are predicting $150 mil plus for HUNGER GAMES. That’s big. And it will be the biggest November film ever. And maybe some other records, too…
This is a big deal—especially with how often people swipe photos and steal with attribution or permission ..
The internet is evolving to formulate a legal future. Perhaps rulings like this will create some sort of code of ethics…
And in a sense it’s a victory for independent journalists too, those who are doing the reporters’ work for them.
Think of it: how often when breaking news occurs, the networks just start following citizens’ Twitters and blogs.
Now there is a new ground rules. There is fair use—now a court decided to chart a course on legal use.
I think I agree with this decision and wonder secretly of I have ever violated it…
I reported on this story a few days back.. It’s not a surprise to me that these unfortunate women, who now have thirty years of horrid memories, we’re confined by mental torture and not physical restraints…
Servitude is not dead no matter how many people think it is..
Pretty horrendous … You are what you eat.
I have happily not eaten pork for a while now and I am completely ok with that.
