Fourth of July thoughts.. maybe after all these 200+ years of American freedom, something has gone awry.. something very violent and dark has entered society’s fabric? Perhaps the decline of America is accelerating. Look no further than this story of a 2-year-old beautiful child named Kamiya French. She was 2. And she was shot in the face as a revenge killing as retribution for an April shooting that wounded three people outside of a night club.

You are broken America.. it’s time for a long look in the mirror and a true and deep discussion over what went wrong, why which quickening occurred, and what we can do it about it before the next American birthday makes us all grayer, more violent, more heartless, and more broken.

If you’ve ever driven to the Bloomsburg fair in Pennsylvania, you may know where this photo was taken. It is from 1901—long before a highway was in the location that a train was then..

I love looking at old photos, such as these.. I can stare for hours and try to figure out what was going through the minds of the cloak-laden men and women of yesterday..

In our modern times, America is filled with dilapidated structures, broken down bridges, and pothole infested highways. Trains are dead.. Malls are dying. The nation is shifting into a lower standard of living. But at one time this nation was thriving.. But here’s some images of the past. It wasn’t great for all, and sometimes for no one.. But these photos of yesterday showcase perfectly that the nation was in its youth and alive with energy and vibrancy. ..

The new America: A women dying of leukemia goes through invasive and embarrassing airport screening at the knowing hands of the TSA

The New York DAILY NEWS reported this about Michelle Dunaj:

Dunaj, 34, was making what she expects will be the last trip of her life on Oct. 2 as she traveled through Seattle en route to Hawaii.

The Roseville, Mich., woman thought she had prepared by calling the airline ahead of time, asking for a wheelchair, carrying documentation for her feeding tubes and making sure she had prescriptions for all her medications, including five bags of saline solution. But Dunaj said she received a full pat-down in the security line at Seattle-Tacoma Airport and had to lift her shirt and pull back bandages so agents could get a good look. She said everyone else in line got a look, too.

‘‘My issue is: It was in front of everyone, and everyone was looking at me like I was a criminal or like I was doing something wrong,’’ Dunaj told The Associated Press on Tuesday. ‘‘It shouldn’t have been in front of everyone.’’

Dunaj said a female agent performed the pat-down and asked her to lift up her shirt after feeling the tubes going into Dunaj’s chest and abdomen. Dunaj said her suggestion for a more private pat-down was dismissed.

‘‘I asked them if they thought that was an appropriate location, and they told me that everything was fine,’’ she said.

She said another agent punctured one of the saline bags she was carrying, ruining it.

America the depressed

The worldwide press is paying more attention to this tidbit than American counterparts: There are more Americans now that die as a result of suicide than from car crashes.. the UK DAILY MAIL reports on a study conducted by the American Journal of Public Health, which believes that suicide is under counted..

The DAILY MAIL headline however says this: “More Americans now commit suicide than die in car crashes as miserable economy takes it toll”

The world itself has seen some strange occurrences involving the collapse of humanity recently..Whether it’s the spike in suicides around the globe or just kids being abandoned in Greece, there are some rough times facing people.

Here's a happy mid-day lift for you

Who owns America, and consequently, you?

China 20.4%..
Japan 20.2%
England 12.4%
Oil exports 5%

And the list goes on, with some fine folks like Brazil, Caribbean Bankers, Hong Kong, and the friends to the North in Canada.

You can find the full amount of information on our owners here..

Now hopefully if our dollar keeps crashing none of the owners will try to collect on the debt…

Conspiracy theories abound online!

Was Ricky Gervais kicked off stage after offensive Golden Globe jokes hit Hollywood stars hard?

He insists no, but it hasn’t stopped the speculation.

As a fond admirer of the British press, I love the way the UK DAILY MAIL is reporting on the Globes’ jokes:

Ricky Gervais today insisted he had not been banned from the Golden Globes after subjecting a room full of speechless American stars to lewd jibes at last night’s ceremony.

He vanished from the stage in the middle of the awards show, leading to speculation that he had been carpeted. Viewers said that when he returned some time later he looked subdued.

A spokesperson for the comedian today called rumours he was chastised by bosses ‘utter rubbish’ fueled by ‘Twitter speculation.’

Gervais insists the the mood backstage was ‘great’ and his extended time away from the camera was planned.

The Brits especially love when Americans are speechless.
