A veteran could lose his home because of a small flag he has placed in a flower pot in front of his home.

The headline speaks a million more words.. It’s all true, too. The ‘home’ rules dictate that this veteran may actually lose his entire abode simply for the sin of displaying the flag of the nation he could have died for..

And to anyone who thinks that these Nazi-ish weirdo draconian home rules are normal, it’s situations like this which command discernment  and common sense. . Ok, we get it, you don’t want Christmas lights of more than one color.. but no gardens? No play sets? No American flags?

ROLLING STONE magazine is defending its placement of a handsome looking Tsarnaev on the cover of its new issue.. I wrote about this yesterday, in part saying the outrage is nonsense and we are further arguing in this nation about things that don’t matter. This ROLLING STONE issue makes that point—with even CVS an other retailers saying it is going to ban the magazine from being sold in its stores! We continue to be victims of some pretty high rolling mind games. Take a peek outside your box, America.. there’s more to every story.

Speaking of debating about things that do not matter:

Jenny McCarthy tapped to co-host THE VIEW.. outrage now due to her critical comments about vaccines causing autism.. Yet again, proof Americans get outraged and angry about things that do not matter one hill of beans. At all.. No matter WHAT she thinks about anything.. that is the purpose. She is supposed to be controversial. This is for ratings. Americans who are outraged by this: YOU ARE BEING PLAYED, good.

With age comes the lack of widsom

My wife and I are watching a Sunday night PBS show of two local high schools in a Jeopardy type competition.. and my wife and I in turn have never, ever felt dumber.

I have no clue.. on anything!

I’m not smarter than a 5th grader, and in no way smarter than a high schooler. I don’t even think I was smarter than a high schooler in high school..

But it also got me to thinking: When did I get this dumb? When I got a job? When I stopped my ‘learning’ experience in a classroom.. Am I the only one that feel this way?
