Scenes like this look like the end of the world. But they are just how things go in Venezuela these days. As the economy crashes, state-sponsored paramilitaries are roaming middle class neighborhoods and shooting whoever looks like they are protesting. There is a major government crackdown on all dissidents.. And most of the international news media is completely oblivious to it all.
