A dashboard camera in North Carolina captured a fireball blazing through this past Thursday night.

The American Meteor Society confirmed that it has received hundreds o reports from people in North Carolina, as seen on the cam, but also Washington D. C., Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Delaware. The reports came in between 9:15 p. m. and 10:45 p. m. on Thursday.

Arby's Employees React to Sudden Store Closures

If you’re living in, or driving through, Northeastern Pennsylvania, don’t expect to get a dried up roast beast sandwich or curly fries.. most of the Arby’s have shut down in a Black Friday bankruptcy, so sudden that employees had no clue.

One of the stores closed was in the Schuylkill Mall, my local diving shopping center. Another retail bail .. biting the dust in Frackville. This one was not in the mall’s control, obviously.. but it’s an example and showcase of the real economic problems that this part of the state is having.. 

The end may be nigh for the mall up high.

Hard to imagine his already horrible story getting any worse … And then SKY NEWS filed this report about bodies being treated like meaningless objects at the crash site…

Before a conspiracy theory about flight 17 takes flight, consider this:

A fall from 33,000 altitude can cause cadavers (bodies) to almost instantly freeze, add this to high force of ground impact, it will make bodies (cadavers) appear to be decomposed. ..

This certainly could explain with logic why the Russian separatists are claiming that the bodies are long dead ..

If you believe the Russians to begin with..

Bodies rained down on Ukraine village after plane disaster

Reuters reports some gory details from the flight 17 shoot down.. A snippet from their extended article:

One of the corpses fell through the rickety roof of Irina Tipunova’s house in this sleepy village, just after Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 exploded high over eastern Ukraine, where pro-Russian separatists are fighting government forces.

“There was a howling noise and everything started to rattle. Then objects started falling out of the sky,” the 65-year-old pensioner said in front of her grey-brick home.

“And then I heard a roar and she landed in the kitchen, the roof was broken,” she said, showing the gaping hole made by the body when it came through the ceiling of the kitchen in an extension to the house.

The dead woman’s naked body was still lying inside the house, next to a bed.

The rest of the story gets worse.. Reuters reports many women and children being aboard this doomed flight.

But even more disturbing is the lack of something .. CNN is reporting that the crash site is largely neglected.. instead of forensics analysts on site to recover bodies, it’s a grab bag of personal possessions up for the taking by guiltless looters .. CNN reports:

Emergency workers tell CNN it’s not their job to collect the bodies. And a local pro-Russian rebel leader has said that officials from the Netherlands and Malaysia asked that the bodies not be moved.

But rescue crews and inspectors from those countries are not on site.

And to get there, they would have to drive about 90 minutes from the city of Donetsk down pot-hole pocked roads. But these lead through a war zone, past checkpoints set up by varying local militias.

There is no central command, virtually no rule of law.

Disturbing at the least.. Sickening as well.

The pro-rebel website Russkaya Vesna on Friday quoted Igor Girkin as saying he was told by people at the crash site that “a significant number of the bodies weren’t fresh,” adding that he was told they were drained of blood and reeked of decomposition.

This certainly muddies up the waters.. Conspiracy theories certainly abound.

The obvious conclusion some have made based off of the Russian claims of bloodless and long dead corpses is that this is flight 370—the missing plane..

Though at this point I don’t know what happened to the 300 that boarded flight 17, maybe they would be put on the next Malaysian flight that goes missing, and a horrible cycle begins..

This is just awful.. not only did this man have one of the worst last few years on the planet ever, but now his body is having a terrible time, too.. Casey went missing before he died. Now in death his body is missing again..

I don’t know if I have expressed my loathing of these ‘neighborhood’ rules that so many places have before.. but I do now: I hate them. Rules that stop gardening, flags, gnomes, or Santa Clauses at Christmas.. So wrong..

However: This one may be the worst. A couple conserving water is fined for a browning lawn? During a time when the West is going through one of the worst of the worst droughts of all time?

Best I can tell, this is from the 4chan Paranormal board.. tried to ascertain if this is actually an age old paranormal tale, but cannot find much of anything online concerning it.

While I don’t necessarily believe the typed story that accompanies the picture, I can say this: If you look at the woman in the photo long enough, she does start to move.. Back and forth and back and forth—not enough for me to get the chills and believe someone is behind me as the snippet of text proclaims, but it’s still creepy nonetheless. 

And I did initially look at it in the dark, which perhaps didn’t help.

While the image works well on a computer screen, it doesn’t translate well onto a phone screen. The bigger it is, the more it moves. 

Which does mean, perhaps, a large painting of the girl would indeed really, really creep someone out who is lonely and staring at the image..

A little creepy.. Actually I can go for the idea, as long as my shopping cart can be loud and obnoxious. I think a choice of voices would be great.. Imagine if DARTH VADER would congratulate you for your lettuce purchase? Or even better, Don Rickles can randomly make bigoted jokes as you shop the international section..? Maybe Triumph the Insult Comic Dog from the old Conan O’Brien NBC skit could hit on women as you drive by them in a store.. 

And don’t even let it talk in the cantaloupe section.

The kids are never alright

There is a overwhelming feeling of grief and fear running through the blood of my veins today. Those safe and sound should shutter.. because life is fading and fragile–fleeting and fearful. 

The past 36 hours have been mentally dedicated to events of the realistic nature. 

While the world is being torn apart by warfare regardless of continent or country, the ‘it won’t happen to me’ attitude is still something worn as a badge of confidence throughout the planet. The idea that you, me, and whoever reading this, is immune to the horrors of war and the scars of battle. The people flying on that Malaysian airliner, shot down by some group hell-bent on causing fear and bloodshed, did not know they were going to die on that flight. The nun and the AIDS researchers hadn’t the clue that the angel of death was not only knocking but also busting down the door to get in.. the men and women had no connection to the war ravaging parts of Ukraine over Crimea. They don’t know and maybe did not even care of the battle lines. And now, 300 souls become victims. Without notice, without mercy, and without warning. Their bodies vacant souls–now if only we knew where the souls went after life.. There are times world events move me tom tears–lately that’s been happening quite a bit. A NEW YORK TIMES article published today made me eyes swell up with water.. Especially this section of the article, which describes some of the articles of possessions found in the debris of Flight 17:

Dutch belongings were scattered through the grass: a pink children’s book; a parking ticket picked up by a man named Hans van den Hende; a book of stickers. Children’s playing cards were sprinkled near the road.

Anyone with a heart–and especially anyone with children–gets a disburbing feeling in the pit of your stomach when you read that. I did.. and I still do as I re-read it.. 
I ask myself, and constantly scream out in silent anger to God or whatever else controls this universe: Why always children. Why must they be collateral damage in the sins of men? The drums of war have no beat.. they are just a mix and mess of conflicting thumps and noises of bombs.. 
With scores of dead children around the planet every hour. 
The latest dead child had a pink book, stickers, and playing cards. Little trinkets of goodness and innocence.. now those pieces of peace are shredded by the hounds of war. Gone for good are the beautiful children who played with them.. 
I pray that this missile hit fast and so furiously that the passengers felt no pain.
But even if they did not feel pain, there will be other innocent men, women, and children who constantly feel pain and suffering in the billowing smoke of the world, on fire, with war.

Monster butts. Kicked.

There is something both fulfilling and scary to hear Ayden shout “let’s kick some Monster Butt!!!” as he plays with his toys.. especially since “monster butt” has been the agreed upon term to define “ass” within the house, ever since Ayden uttered the A word several months ago.

I think I want to get “Let’s kick some Monster Butt” made onto a T-shirt for posterity..
