A case of the Mondays.. A new car from St. Jude before the thunder strikes again

The weekend was rough. Car problems. But today a new CHEVROLET SONIC is in my life, after too many problems were stacking up from the beast 2010 Jeep Patriot. It saw it days and got my family through a number of winters.. But as cars go, so does luck.
Not only were there transmission issues--big ones--but also wheel bearings.. ball joints .. brakes.. Oh, and a cracked windshield that mysteriously happened last night.
So .. a decision seemingly was made by Saint Jude, the patron saint of lost and hopeless cases, who I have been trying to contact now for about a week.

Maybe he came through, smashed my windshield, and gave me the sign to get rid of one beast for the new gray Sonic the hedgehog.

Can't wait to pick my son up at day care in a new car. And then tell him NO MORE ICE CREAM WITH SPRINKLES in his car seat.. The mess I found underneath his area in the Jeep probably cost me about $500 in trade in money..

Bad weeks.
Good weeks.
All weeks.
There are all weeks--fleeting sets of seven days that come and go as quick as rain on a summer afternoon.

Car problems and house issues, all of those things don't matter when you're on your death bed asking to see your family for the final time.

Perspective.
Of course when you're asking St. Jude for help, you don't maintain that affinity of perspective as much as when the storm begins to pass.

But another storm lurks. It always does.
You just need to reestablish your safety zone before the thunder strikes.

LIFE.

The FCC Wades Into the Newsroom

Regardless of political persuasion, this is just a bad idea. No one, really, logically has yet explained to me why it is needed.

I know what really is needed.. Twitter, Facebook, blogs, and other sources.. And a strong and fearless media .. one that doesn’t pay attention only to celebrity and bypass the real news.

Thankfully we have Twitter, Facebook, and blogs.

For now.

Until the newsroom police ….

College schmollege

I am truly beginning to think colleges are a big BIG waste of time and effort. But then again, no one will consider you for work unless you have a degree from a University (Other than Phoenix)

I feel like starting my own school. the Google School of Self Knowledge.

You can take a test after four years of learning everything you want on Google. The test will be Google free, though, you cannot use a computer. If you pass, you get a degree..

Did anyone ever see Portico news?

I hate it.

My wife and I bought a new TV and, while exploring, came across the app for Portico news. It was awful. Fake background, fake newscasters.. nothing real. It was so bad.

There is nothing ‘real’ about Portico news. The over made up and trendy dresses ‘newscasters’ stand in front of a green screen.  They tell us they will give us news, encapsulating all the most important things in a nutshell for us in just 20 minutes. I could not even put up with 20 seconds of it! It was so awful.. It was as of

It actually began to make my physically sick.  I was desperately trying to TURN OFF the Portico News feed but the television remote stopped working.. I felt trapped and hopeless. The Portico song kept playing over and over again, mocking me.. it felt like a harpoon of awful things directly into my heart.. Watching Portico news for the 25 seconds I did, I think my IQ actually dropped about 10 points.

I don’t think I have ever come across an app that made me physically nauseous.. If why wife would not have commandeered the remote and quickly turned the whole system ‘off’ I may have actually vomited all over the new smart TV. It was just that bad..

There is nothing good about PORTICO NEWS.

Well it’s in the public domain now, like it or not.

Lady Gaga tweeted a naked picture of herself..While she is fully naked we can’t see everything. We do, however, see her covering the essentials.

I debated whether this should have been posted. I try to be family friendly, but it’s a Saturday night..
