See it and weep. Some operational guidance showcases a potential snowstorm this Thursday March 5..

By the freakend weekend clocks are being set ahead and spring will be in the air. Maybe.

At this point the darkness is losing. HORUS is rising.. Easter is on the way..

Here is the sight from this weekend’s weather forecast.. anything pink and purple are winter weather somethings. And there are lots of them, storms are a plenty..

The season is almost ready to change. I hear song birds in the morning now and the noon sun—when it is out—is strong.. But until the spring blossoms bloom, it’s going to be considerably cold and snowy. That continues, obviously, this weekend.

I think the second week of March will be a transition..

Let’s see how good I do with that forecast..

Please sir can I have another?

…seriously .. This may be happening this coming weekend. St Patricks day green covered in white?

My favorite Facebook weather source, the Weatherboy Weather posted an “OMG” over top of today’s snowstorm forecast.. This is beginning to look like a long duration snow storm set to drop up to 20 inches or more in spots..  prepare now because by Monday all travel may be temporarily grounded.. The other concern may be ice if enough warmth spreads into the storm.. It’s a March storm after all—and March storms typically produce heavy snow. In like a lion.. a cold, cold lion in winter.

Wall Street JOURNAL: Storms trigger rash of cabin fever

As said yesterday.. I began feeling like Jack Torrance. Thankfully roads got cleared in time to make a grocery store run. It felt amazing to pay too much for groceries just because I was out.

I think there are times that some people impose cabin fever on themselves. There seems to be this thought, every time it is about to snow, that if people don’t get their bread and milk they are going to quite literally die. I have seen firsthand people panic and stock up on things, even though they live about 50 steps from the front door of a major grocery store..

I spoke to a local restaurant owner who told me he does not close when it snows, and since everyone else does, his business is typically better during storms. Smart move.

I myself get hungry for Chinese food during snowstorms. I can be confident that regardless of the day or weather, Chinese food will always be available.

So the big storm this week.. and another snowstorm happening today. There is a certainly part of me, each time I look out the window and hardly see the road in front of me due to giant snow piles, that I feel a little more like Jack Torrance from the SHINING.. Sure, I’m not living in a big vacant hotel .. And I don’t have spirits serving me drinks yet. But my God.. the insanity of being homebound .. the mind numbing winter that keeps you stuck in four walls.. I LOVE getting outside to shovel at this point. That’s just how crazy it is feeling..

Think the view outside your snowy window is frightening, check this.. A massive snowstorm hit Stavropol Russia with blinding winds and subzero temperatures, as this REUTERS image shows…

Spring will be here before you know it though..

And I predict by May and June we’ll be wishing the 90s and 100s would go away..

The storm has arrived..

If you see this man wandering your streets .. give him what he wants and he will go away..

Shoveling would appear to be a pointless act of civil disobedience today..

A blizzard slowly beginning outside.. And Clyde Lewis is busy playing clips of demon calls on his radio show.. Who needs Andre Linoge to prowl the snowy landscape when you have creepy radio..

Frozen solid

Life is pretty much at a standstill at my home base and many others across the Midwest and Northeast… We had a major snow storm and it turned into a major ice storm as temperatures warmed up.

While Armageddon has yet to occur, several forecasters were calling for it. Grocery stores were filled with rude and ignorant humans.. And an occasional bike purchase was made, for some strange reason.

Being prepared is fine. But being prepared by buying every gallon of milk in nonsensical.

People need to watch more PREPPERS

The Eastern PA Weather Authority website just upgraded virtually everyone in estimated snow totals for today’s mini-blizzardo diablo.

I’m not quite sure if I am with them, but I think the 6 inches for my area is more likely than the 2 inches being called by others..

Anyone in the pink or purple need to pay close attention to weather forecasts.. I have checked a few models and I think the pink especially has some localized blizzard potential for tomorrow.. (Tuesday Jan 21 2014)

Here’s the latest warnings and watches: http://www.weather.gov/

Also be aware: Road salt will not be working effectively at the temperatures predicted..
