Gotta love Kathy Bates!
Kathy Bates on NBC: 'They Treated Us Like Shit'
I received an email last night from a good friend and fellow blogger CINEMA PYSCHO *(check his site out*) about my Jay Leno post.. and he’s right on the money.. Hollywood hates Leno and NBC does too. It goes back to bad blood in the early 1990s.. And he was right when he said Leno would screw over his grandmother for extra money and his audience wouldn’t realize what the real Jay is like behind the curtain. I agree with all of that.. But even with that all being said, I still find it pretty amazing that NBC is letting him go with such high ratings.. it’s a money game and a numbers game.. and Leno is bringing them their bling—regardless of how horrible of a person he may be..
This is a big ouch. NBC has canceled Brian Williams’ ROCK CENTER.
Sources at NBC News say Williams was angered that Burbank execs did not give the show the promised promotion, while plans to expand it to multiple weekly airings have been abandoned
Well I guess so.
And DATELINE survives?
Rock Center is so much better.
Since NBC is making us all feel older (but not wiser) with a replay of the 1990s SNL… why not go with it. Here’s GARBAGE with WHEN I GROW UP. Where were you when the song was being played too much on radio? I was going into my senior year.. the world was ahead of me.. as it may have been with you.
And where are we now..?
So tonight NBC decided to play a blast from the past. The Saturday Night LIVE pop culture show all about the 1990s. And originally aired in 2007.
So it’s not bad enough NBC is reminding people how old they’ve gotten, but they have to doubly do it by reminding us with a repeat of a reminder!
Let NBC’S Olympics coverage play in the background. The majestic music they use as bumpers will lead to you think even the most mundane of house chores have suddenly become heroic feats of valor victory.
There is a chilling effect here..
The death of the free net, perhaps?
And remember this: Twitter and NBC formed a partnership for these Olympics.
Think about this.. this deep about this..,
An epic failure of TV programming, or perhaps the network giving up on advertising before it even began?
Either way, Paul Reiser’s newest show now has the dubious distinction of a stinker.. only two episodes in, NBC chose to cancel his program from their schedule..
3.3 million viewers in the 18-49 demos.. low ratings..
The second episode bled viewers, coming in with only 2.5 million..
What will take its place? The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER reports: OFFICE reruns..
Mad about you// over and out for Reiser..
NBC details Liam Derbyshire, a 12-year-old, who relies on a ventilator to keep him alive every time he falls asleep.
..after his intriguing and somewhat frightening appearance on the TODAY SHOW this morning..
