Malaysia Airlines Diverts Flight Over Syrian Airspace

Data from Flight Radar 24 shows that Malaysia Airlines Flight MH4, an Airbus A380 flying from Kuala Lumpur to London, was diverted from its usual route over Ukraine in favor of passing over a country that is currently under siege by ISIS terrorists, some of whom are armed with U.S.-made Stinger missiles.

Unbelievable. But true..

So .. the airliner choosing to avoid Ukraine is smart. But flying over hostile portions of Syria where another way is baking away the life and limbs of people is not smart..

I am not an aviation expert.. but someone out there who may be tell me this: Is this all normal?

How airplanes once were: Prime rib, cocktail lounges, and piano bars. Plus comfortable seating in coach. Amazing how with ‘safety’ and improvements made, all the fun places dive ..no pun intended. Really, though, shouldn’t this be how all air travel should be? Filled with excitement of the friendly skies, cold adult beverages, hot food, and great music? Instead.. we have the current state of the system: Baked in the naked body scanners with touchers touching the most private parts searching for bombs in your bodily exits, tight seating, and not even peanuts anymore. Not even peanuts. Or cocktail lounges and piano bars for that matter..

Now how cool is this! Get from the US to London in just 1 hour!?

It’s about time we have a super sonic jet for public use. If aliens can use them why not us.. Or maybe the fact the military is ‘designing one’ means they have had one, and those little green men have never been little green anythings but instead fat earthlings testing new equipment. 

Nonetheless here is the DAILY MAIL article about a potential future in which a supersonic jet will be able to transport you at 4500 mph. That’s pretty darn fast.

Funny enough,  I am a little scared about air travel. But if a flight could last only that long I’d be much more inclined and quite excited about going around the one in just an hour or two. 

Some air travel lovers may argue that it would eliminate those beautiful and breathtaking images you can see our of a window. But if you’re afraid of heights you’ll go so fast it wouldn’t matter. And in the event of a crash you’ll never know what hit you.

No school bus on the road.. No plane in the air? How much air travel will be grounded tomorrow due to the massive storm? Lots.. according to forecasters, ice will be prevalent over some of the largest airports in the nation along the East Coast. Travelers: Good luck, and prepare..
