NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS?
CNN is about to make a major change and have LESS news.. Well, the Weather Channel stopped airing weather..
The Central New Network may as well fire all their newscasters..
Call me crazy, but I miss the days of CNN’S HEADLINE NEWS back in the early days when they’d have a live broadcast, every half hour, of the news of the moment. Am I dating myself with that one?
But it was CNN HEADLINE NEWS—-real news—like NEWS. And not just blips and beeps coming from talking heads. I am tired of politics.. I am tired of the ‘right wing and left wing’ arguments, arguments that go no where and are tired out from their own weight of hair air. And now CNN will air less news..
I am releasing a big ‘sigh.’
I suppose this is only more evidence to show why millions of people go immediately to the INTERNET and Twitter for news—news you cannot find, or ever will, on any news network on the TEE VEE..

Venezuela’s second massive power outage of the year plunged much of the nation into darkness on Monday night, prompting renewed talk of sabotage from President Nicolas Maduro’s government and cries of incompetence from its foes.
Power went off in Caracas and other cities around the country soon after 8 p.m. local time (0030 GMT), to the intense annoyance of residents and commuters.
Intense anger is being expressed by citizens who are without electricity …

Well here in the coal region, the Monday after Thanksgiving means only one thing: Deer season.
I’m grateful because there is a less chance through the winter that Bambi and children will smash into my window..
However, as this horrendous song (but overly played today in Pennsylvania) proves, not all hunters are on the march for a deer.. maybe instead they are just getting drunk and wearing dirty underwear.
Oh the coal region.
I have fond memories years ago of my father telling me to either ‘wear orange’ when I leave the house or just stay in the basement all day, because drunk hunters have terrible shots.
Maybe my dad was right about these precautionary actions. I am still alive today.
And one day I will express the same warnings to my own son…

This is an absolutely *(to me)* amazing story appearing in NATURE.. Apparently dinosaurs used a community bathroom back in their day.. A latrine used by all! Dinos included.

I applaud the makers of the Travel Channel's AMERICA DECLASSIFIED on tonight's Centralia episode. Somehow they were able to edit out all of the images of male and female genitalia from America's only 'graffiti highway'.
Plus an infared drone proved that the 50 year old mine fire was still glowing strong deep in the coal mines of Centralia.
Cool stuff.
I knew a few former residents (maybe family included) that refused to watch this show tonight because it included David Dekok. I never blamed him for anything, instead he did his job as a good reporter.
Nonetheless, science proves what some residents deny: The mine fire is a problem and remains one, even though those remaining few say there are no dangers.
Now my only question: What other towns will it spread to?
