This may be good.. BATMAN VS SUPERMAN film is coming in 2015..

A few days ago on the HORROR REPORT, I wrote about how the new Superman movie is being marketed to the religious and faithful—which makes sense, after all family friendly and religious themed films do quite well at the box office.

I received one message from someone stating that Superman has historically been compared to Jesus and there was nothing new or different about the MAN OF STEEL concept..

I respecfully disagreed with that assertion. And now a CNN article posted this weekend backs up my contention that this movie, unlike many others, is directly being marketed to Christians .. 

CNN REPORTS that ministers were being given special screenings of the movie.. and perhaps the hope that they would praise Christ from the pulpit along with remind the flock of the benefits of going to see wholesome movies—especially when the hero is being portrayed quite like Christ. 

And after all.. Jesus Christ was an Inside Job.

Clearly the numbers for the movie have been swelling to epic proportions over the weekend. We know Friday night and Saturday night date nights went well for the MAN OF STEEL.

Father’s day Sunday may be strong—and maybe even a big bolster coming with mid-day post Church goers looking for deeper and hidden meanings in the MAN OF STEEL.. 

So .. who is going to see MAN  OF STEEL this weekend?

Superman-Jesus freaks part 2

I have been reminded in my previous post that there have often been Superman-Jesus comparisons. I agree.. I dug up this article from the year 2002 talking about the very subject..

The only point I tried to make in my last post was that it appears they are actually trying to market the new Superman movie as Jesus.. perhaps because they know that people who are religious often go to movies if there is some type of religious connotation *(think PASSION OF THE CHRIST)* It’s smart marketing. Just as smart as the marketing was for THE PURGE (who didn’t go on Tumblr or Twitter and see those creepy masks since December?) …

So it’s all about marketing. And marketing Superman as Jesus is what they are doing. Even if they are trying to claim they are not.

Get ready for people to make constant comparisons between Superman and Jesus.. 

It seems that the new filmmakers of SUPERMAN actually are utilizing it to their benefit to market the film..

Will people worship SUPERMAN? Did the Bible actually mean the ‘second coming’ was going to be the sequel in a new SUPERMAN franchise??

And why isn’t SUPERMAN American!

Oh.. that’s the Mormons..

I am confused..

And haven’t we heard this story before anyway?

A comic book spoiler site reporting that SUPERMAN is going to renounce his US citizenship over geo-political events.

But that’s ok. We still have BATMAN. That is unless he moved his assets offshore due to the financial crisis and invested heavily in different nations.

Can’t trust any superhero these days.
