Cleveland neighborhood asks, how did it happen here?

Outwardly, there is little about the two-story, clapboard house on Cleveland’s Seymour Avenue that hints at the horror that authorities say played out inside.

This is a pretty sad story, from beginning to end. And now neighbors are faced with a life altering question: What did they miss, and could they have prevented anything if they would have seen signs that clearly they didn’t.

The money quote from CNN:

"Why didn’t I notice anything? What should I have been looking for?" asks Mickie Wodgik, who spent years living across the street from Castro and, it turns out, the three missing women.

"Were we all that oblivious?"

Were they? … We are all like that sometimes.

This is a good story to exemplify why we should all put the phones down, turn off the TV and maybe just sit on the porch again and get to know neighbors……..

But the troubling question: Do we really know anyone?

Police in Cleveland are searching a property for “possible aborted babies” after finding three women who had been kidnapped and held as sex slaves for a decade or more. Investigators say the dirt in the back yard appeared to have been “disturbed.”

This case is ugly.. It’s amazing that the three women were found alive and are reuniting with  their families.. but now police digging for remains of babies, potentially aborted, after years of sex slavery.. The sick secrets that went on in this house are going to be revealed. Truth is like flooding water behind the gates, ready to eviscerate anything that holds it back. Sadly, Amanda Berry and the others rescued know exactly what happened to them. The rest of the world will cringe as we slowly find out..

Finally, there was some good news in the world

Yesterday in Ohio, police were able to find three different girls who were abducted separately but ended up at the same home … They were found alive.. 

It all began with a frantic woman screaming at the door of Charles Ramsay. 
Then a 911 call.

Then they were safe…and families were elated.

Good news, good news.

But, the media is the media.. so Charles Ramsay, the man who helped them get safe and be safe in this situation, is now being mocked for his actions. Breitbart.com says he is the next YouTube sensation. His quotes are priceless:

"I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway" "You got some big testicles to pull this off bro. Cuz, we seen this dude everyday!" .. "I barbecued with this dude… We eat ribs and what not, and listen to salsa music!" 

So .. the media is having a good time laughing at Charles Ramsay, most likely because of thinly veiled racism.. But it’s clear that he is a hero.. Well done, good sir, well done Mr. Ramsay!
