This is an amazing shot.. a ‘red rainbow’ appeared over Atlanta last week after a storm.. Beautiful.
It looks eerily like the cover of UNDER THE DOME by Stephen King..
The snow is melted.. the roads are clear.. but this photograph is evidence of the drama and disaster that developed during a winter storm in the South.. Courtesy of NBC NEWS
As NBC describes:
Hundreds of abandoned vehicles on I-65 in Birmingham, AL makes the interstate look like a parking lot.
Cold air.
Warm heart.
The story from the South is amazing today.. such goodness and compassion, with such chaos and confusion.
As I wrote in an earlier post, hindsight is 20/20.. But when warnings of a dramatically awful weather system like this are being given, local and state officials should immediately act in the best interest of citizens—and children.
No need to make a scandal of this. But as weather patterns change and get extreme, we all will need to learn how to adapt..
This is a work in progress.
But we better start learning that the old times of ‘normal’ are over.. Extremes are here.
Preparing is key.
