Who would have thought Pennsylvania would have seen this in February.. a tornado near the Walmart in Pittston PA clearly visible.. the image was being circulated around social media late today..
Forecasters from the government have yet to make it official but there seems little doubt that his was a twister ..
UNION TOWNSHIP — An argument over a bag of potato chips landed a man behind bars in Schuylkill County. George Beaver of Union Township faces assault charges after troopers say he told his wife not to touch his ‘Utz Ruffled Sour Cream and Onion chips’. When she did, Beaver allegedly grabbed her face and bit off a chunk of her skin. Beaver is locked up tonight in Schuylkill County.
UTZ honey BBQ chips are likely the best chips in the world.. I wouldn't be this vicious over sour cream and onion, not at all..
This is how the front page of CNN looks at the hour.. major journalistic enterprises have been blocked from attending the White House briefing Friday afternoon..
Journalists from The New York Times and two other news organizations were prohibited from attending a briefing by President Trump’s press secretary on Friday, a highly unusual breach of relations between the White House and its press corps. Reporters from The Times, CNN and Politico were not allowed to enter the West Wing office of the press secretary, Sean M. Spicer, for the scheduled briefing. Aides to Mr. Spicer allowed in reporters from only a handpicked group of news organizations that, the White House said, had been previously confirmed to attend.
Organizations allowed in included Breitbart News, the One America News Network and The Washington Times, all with conservative leanings. Journalists from ABC, CBS, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Fox News also attended.
Reporters from Time magazine and The Associated Press, who were set to be allowed in to the briefing, chose not to attend in protest of the White House’s actions. “Nothing like this has ever happened at the White House in our long history of covering multiple administrations of different parties,” Dean Baquet, the executive editor of The Times, said in a statement. “We strongly protest the exclusion of The New York Times and the other news organizations. Free media access to a transparent government is obviously of crucial national
A York County, Pa., man reportedly attempted to attack his father with an ax and slit his throat with a knife Sunday during an argument over how much pot pie he ate.
Kevin Blanch, 30, of Springettsbury Township, was charged with attempted homicide, simple assault, and two counts of aggravated assault. He was remanded to the York County prison on $75,000 bail, PennLive reported.
Blanch was found by police outside his home with blood on his hands, neck, chest, and ripped shirt. His father, Dennis, 61, told police his son attacked him with an ax. He suffered wounds to his chest and neck and a wrist, according to the story.
Due to the high strangeness of the crime, news of it has been shared across the world. Literally.. from sea to sea and continents all around..
Low-quality CCTV footage purportedly shows the attack on Kim Jong-nam at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13. A woman wearing a white shirt and blue skirt is seen approaching the man from behind - believed to be Kim Jong-nam - and grabbing his face while spraying him with some substance, presumably a fast-acting poison. Presumably, it’s the same “LOL-shirt wearing” Indonesian woman, who has already been identified as Siti Aishah and whose been detained by security forces.
Does anyone play FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S Sister Location?
My son’s sixth birthday was held this weekend..a fun time had by all, but I was amazed to hear and see the number of kids his age who are seemingly addicted to these games, whether having the action figures or just talking about the games they downloaded, even acting out certain portions..
Don’t get me wrong.. I am attempting to NOT become prudish. I watched horror from an early age and turned out (mostly) fine… but I was just stunned by how many young children under the age of 10, these kids being 4-6, knew so much about the game where dead children inhabit animatronics and try to kill a security guard at a pizza restaurant famous for mass murder.
So this brought up the question in my mind, what age is too young for FF@F? What does anyone else in this modern age do with such a question: Google it.
I found countless religious-themed websites decisively saying that this game, the 1st through 5th and then the Sister Location addition, are devilish.. will cause nightmares .. are immoral. Are hard to handle for a child. These are the same types of people who would have condemned my mom for allowing me to watch certain horror films as a child…
But I will give the theory some credit. Some children cannot handle horror games. Some children SHOULD not handle horror games..
I think one reason so many young kids play FIVE NIGHTS is due to the FGTEEV family on YouTube playing it.. that channel is an innocent and kind family gaming station..
The kids at my son’s party presumably don’t know the murderous story behind the FIVE NIGHTS series.. That’s too heavy for them to know. The jump scares are just enough…
The next fad on its way to become a part of pop culture for kids under ten (and beyond): HELLO NEIGHBOR.
A Syblon Reid contractor had forbidden a spillway team from capturing any activities at the dam and sharing the footage via social media. The contracting company has enforced this “no social media/no photos” policy at all of their construction sites.
One worker was allegedly fired for sharing a picture taken from the top of the spillway.
Young students were struck down by “the devil” this week after a shocking and mysterious “virus” saw its victims scream and writhe in pain, a local mayor said.
About 20 young students were rushed from school to hospital, but doctors have been left befuddled by the “mass possession”.
Harrowing footage from the school in Llora, Colombia show screaming students being carried away by volunteers.
According to Francis Salamanca Martinez, mayor of the Lloro, the students screamed out that “the devil was going to take them with him”.Residents in the area claim the youth suffered a “demonic possession”.Police are still investigating the incident while relatives of the students have asked for the help of local priests.Sources told local media officials at El Colombiano that the country’s Catholic Church was “analysing the case”.
At this point mostly tabloids have reported this story..
I am always a bit standoffish on ‘mass possession’ articles from third world nations for obvious reasons..
But this was worth mentioning given the widespread attention is it garnering online..
An unvarnished celebrity outsider who pledged to represent the forgotten laborer took on an intellectual member of the Washington establishment looking to extend a political dynasty in the White House.
Andrew Jackson’s triumph in 1828 over President John Quincy Adams bears striking similarities to Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton last year, and some of those most eager to point that out are in the Trump White House.
Trump’s team has seized upon the parallels between the current president and the long-dead Tennessee war hero. Trump has hung a portrait of Jackson in the Oval Office and Trump’s chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, who has pushed the comparison, told reporters after Trump’s inaugural address that “I don’t think we’ve had a speech like that since Andrew Jackson came to the White House.”
But my favorite story about Jackson from the annals of history may be one that the DonaldHouse doesn’t much want to rehash.
On March 4 1889, Jackson held a open party at the White House for ‘the people’ to celebrate his inauguration. This is how HISTORY.COM sums that event up:
After Jackson’s swearing-in ceremony and address to Congress, the new president returned to the White House to meet and greet a flock of politicians, celebrities and citizens. Very shortly, the crowd swelled to more than 20,000, turning the usually dignified White House into a boisterous mob scene. Some guests stood on furniture in muddy shoes while others rummaged through rooms looking for the president–breaking dishes, crystal and grinding food into the carpet along the way. (White House staff reported the carpets smelled of cheese for months after the party.) In an attempt to draw partygoers out of the building, servants set up washtubs full of juice and whiskey on the White House lawn
Surprised that hasn’t happened yet with POTUS45
History lesson … Trump wants to be Jackson. Will he have the same kind of parties?
Communities immediately downstream of California’s Lake Oroville dam would not receive adequate warning or time for evacuations if the 770-foot-tall dam itself — rather than its spillways — were to abruptly fail, the state water agency that operates the nation’s tallest dam repeatedly advised federal regulators a half-decade ago.
Regulators at the time recommended that state officials implement more public-warning systems, carry out annual public education campaigns and work to improve early detection of any problems at the dam.
Six years later, state and local officials have adopted some of the recommendations, including automated warnings via reverse 911 calls to residents. But local officials say the state hasn’t tackled other steps that could improve residents’ response, such as providing routine community briefings and improving escape routes.
