Sure this song is about Vietnam .. but with the rain coming down now and the rain that will come down all week, I have to ask.. who exactly WILL stop the rain?
Where have you gone, summer '11?
Just looked outside and .. the darkness is already creeping in at 7:07 on the East Coast. We are running out of time.. running out of sunlight.. running empty.
Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the transition of time. One season to another and all over again. We should constantly accept change.. but this year, this time, it just feels too sudden.
I still fondly remember those nights in July when the sun was high atop the mountain late into the night.. And now gone. Behind that rolling hill….which rolls into oblivion..
Back to school.. and back to bullies.. how can you raise your kids to be nicer?
I often think back to my years in school.. I was a bit of a clown but I also tried to bully those who bullied others. I hope, maybe, that some will remember me as someone who didn’t attack the weak but almost advocated in my dark sarcastic jokes about others the weak themselves. I hope..
And now, with a son growing quickly, I hope to raise him to respect others and fight for what’s right…through humor, the power of the pen, and sometimes sarcasm directed as those who wouldn’t understand it if it hit them in the face…
Kids just sometimes suck.

Amazingly enough...
Hurricane Irene has been gone for 10 days, but there are still 90 homes and businesses in my area are without power, Luzerne County, PA .. 14 hour days by utility companies still haven’t led to these few places regaining power. I can’t imagine life without electricity.. without water.. heat.. power.. Amazing that I didn’t know this until now.. And one more example that all of those who said this past storm that slammed the East Coast was nothing much at all.. this storm hurt. Bad for some more than others.
Some more things to think about .. ponder over.. and fear?
