There is probably no statement because the story is just breaking and there is not even that much concrete information yet. It takes some effort to pull a press conference together. Stop being so fucking critical.

The facts you mention are worthwhile and correct. But I said what I said only because those facts never stopped people previously from making immediate statements..

So an update to the angry question and my calm response.. a full 10 hours have passed by without any significant response from anyone in national government. The Governor of Pennsylvania issued a statement, but crickets can still be heard from on high.

Of course Jay Carney did say that Barack and Michelle are “sending prayers.”  To me that seems as meaningless as the people on Facebook who ‘send prayers’ in comments on a post..

If this was gun violence, a bigger response would have been heard.

I think it’s time to stop judging crime based on the weapon picked.. I think it’s time to figure out why the kids aren’t alright…

Let’s see what prescriptions our still unnamed sophomore from the Franklin Regional high school was taking..

Police believe a 9-year-old boy was shot by a gunman who had been aiming at his mother’s boyfriend as they drove on the South Side.

Stories like this do nothing but make me sick… totally sick, and frustrated with the inhumanity people harbor..

I spent a little too much time this weekend reading news accounts of horrible situations

Locally, here in the coal region this morning, two beautiful young children died in a car accident.. Tonight I was reading about a child who died at an Atlanta airport after a display sign fell on him.. I am still following up about the story of the child in Georgia who was killed in his stroller, it was the second child who died on the mom—another older boy died in New Jersey in gun violence..

And you know what? I am sick of it all.

It’s not bad enough that I have a cold/flu type of a thing for about a week.. but all of this mental pressure was probably too much for me.

No news is good news.

The happiest people sometimes skip to the sports section..

But I cannot.

Instead, I broil with anger and simmer with agony at daily headlines from sea to bloody sea…

This is one crazy messed up world, don’t you think?
