Including with the MASHABLE list:
Cursive writing, much to the chagrine of many people over the age of 50 who still believe it should be taught..
Addressing and mailing letters. Maybe.. but I still think the post office has a bright future, especially due to online shopping.. call me crazy but I do.
Map reading. I think this was obsolete around 2006..
Library skills. I hope this is wrong. I love libraries and I want people to always love them. And if it becomes obsolete, movies with scenes of desperate people researching for clues will be strange to viewers.
Face to face communications. Yes, it’s dying. But I also think there is a surge of interest in the old fashioned technique of talking. I have hope we can balance tech and personal communication. That is more a hope. I think it is dying indeed. I will, however, keep it.
Taking photos that aren’t selfies. WRONG. Check various social media spectacles. Photography of things that aren’t selfies have never been better.
Patience and attention spans. CHECK. Agreed.
7 life skills that tech will make obsolete in 2016 from Mashable--with my personal commentary on each
