With age comes the lack of widsom
My wife and I are watching a Sunday night PBS show of two local high schools in a Jeopardy type competition.. and my wife and I in turn have never, ever felt dumber.
I have no clue.. on anything!
I’m not smarter than a 5th grader, and in no way smarter than a high schooler. I don’t even think I was smarter than a high schooler in high school..
But it also got me to thinking: When did I get this dumb? When I got a job? When I stopped my ‘learning’ experience in a classroom.. Am I the only one that feel this way?
A tale of two sports
I was flipping back between the Celtics/Heat game the Masters.. What a major difference..
Fighting on the court of the Celtics game, with Lebron James smashing a ball against the Celtics player’s back.
Then to golf.. polite subdued claps, along with quiet announcers.
It made me laugh..
And for some reason I was just addicted to continuously switching back and forth

Something else for us all to worry about: Naked penguins.
Apparently they are now choosing to lose their feathers.
Strange things happening in the world.. twas always thus and always thus shall be. Goodnight.. don’t worry. And don’t fear the reaper..

Happy Saturday to all. And to all a good evening.

I suppose Mother Nature has been watching too many GOLDEN GIRLS reruns.. Some interesting an sexually suggestive vegetables like these may not be suitable for children under 12—I think clicking on this link may not really even be safe for work..at least not if you work in a garden.
Not to be crude and rude..
This is a breaking news event in the family: My son just had the largest, most immense, most substantial ‘Assplosion’ of all time.. It was as though a device went off in his rear end.. Residual effects are still being felt in the Diaper Genie. Authorities have said that at least one 3-month sized outfit has been ruined, with adult clothing being hit with severe odors and stains.
Officials claim that the scene has been cleaned. Although sources say there are additional odors emitting from the disaster site.
Counselors have already been contacted.
“Tomorrow, I’m pleased to announce that the Washington Monument, as well as the entire federal government, will be open for business,” President Obama

But..being a human sometimes sucks.
Goodnight and just enjoy life, even if your job shut down today. And relax. It goes fast.

BUT EVEN IF THERE IS NO SHUTDOWN AT MIDNIGHT, IT MAY JUST BE DELAYING THE INEVITABLE
CNN is reporting: Negotiators are working on a proposal to keep the government open for three days while leaders try to put together a broader deal this weekend
A stop gap measure averts a shutdown—for now.
LET'S MAKE A DEAL? BOEHNER SAYS PROGRESS.. NO SHUTDOWN WILL OCCUR.. AGREEMENT REACHED.

Breaking news being heard around the world.. At least the parts of the world that care about federal government workers not working, parks being shut down, and the military continuing to get paid. Disaster averted? Or just delayed? No one knows yet.. developing story
I realized how quick life can go by..
But I may have found a way to savor the moment: Mental images. Take in the entire room, entire scene, and everyone in it. Tonight I watched my mom and dad talk to my son.. I took it all in and kept in my mental album, hopefully for the rest of my life.
Russians lay down the law
And they don’t want you to Gmail or Skype about it..
For some reason, Russia seems to be planning out a ban of Hotmail, Gmail, Skype, all because they pose a ‘security threat’ of some type to the nation."The FSB would like to ban these services in Russia because "security authorities cannot access them"
The UK TELEGRAPH further reports:"Communications Minister Igor Shchegolev affirmed later that there were "no plans to cut off Skype, Gmail, Hotmail or any other foreign services working in Russia," the Interfax news agency reported.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov on the other hand defended Mr Andreyechkin’s view, calling it “based on the (FSB) service’s duties” and “well-reasoned”, Interfax reported.”
Now how will Russian brides mailed to America communicate with family back home?
Ahhh yes. The privileges and perils of modern technology
Note to parents (me’ included): Don’t overdo technology for your children.. They may go through withdrawal when you take it away..
The next bubble is bursting
And you can most likely see it for yourself. It’s at malls, once thriving, now diving. Vacancy rates are reaching some scary highs..

News from the coal mine.. Deep and dark tidbits of tenacity from the world at large
While it’s not a full collection of the horrors that took place on earth today, it’s what I found most interesting..
Perhaps the MOST interesting of all is the HANGOVER 2 trailer being pulled for a monkey sex scene…
No more HANGOVER? HANGOVER 2 trailer pulled from theaters by the
MPAA..Slashfilm gets document..
So what got it pulled? A monkey sex scene..
And here are the rest of the pieces of newsbytes from around the world:

News about the Hadron Collider never ceases to amaze me and scare me' a little bit too
US physicists are to announce Wednesday that data from a major atom smasher lab may have revealed a new elementary particle, or potentially a new force of nature, the New York Times reported.
With timing like this, who needs conspiracy theories?! The EU and US plan on raising allowable radiation levels for food.
The year of the cat? I’d rather a year of the dog.. But that’s just me. Goodnight all..

Bath salts that don't clean
So… as usual, my local news just opened up, yet again, with another cautionary tale of mindless zombie teenagers getting high, and dying, on bath salts. Yes, indeed, this new phase of drug addiction is interesting—but particularly bothersome at the same time. It shows that, without question, the kids aren’t alright. No one just wants to be happy being alive these days, I guess. Instead of seeing earth as it is, people would rather seduce their brains with mind altering drugs. And even though the idea of drug and alcohol use among the puberty-wrought teen crowd as been around for ages, the latest bout of the human body with bath salts shows the unintellectual ability that kids have to come up with strange ways to destroy brain cells without inhibition.
And at the same time, I’d somewhat tired of hearing of bath salts.
The top story every night? … Along with the latest fire to burn a barn, or the latest accident to destroy a family. Weather 15 after, sports at 20. Followed up, at the end, with the fun little story of a goat with three legs or a potato sack race for cancer patients.
Local news is so predictable—and often boring.
I will argue that bath salt deaths are the best thing to happen to local news since rumors of knives in apples on Halloween. Unfortunately, unlike the Halloween scare, bath salts are real along with killing kids.
But state Legislatures will soon ban them. And …. that will … solve the problem………….. [inject sarcastic face.]
Human hormones being mixed with cow's milk. (This is NOT fiction)
The LONDON TELEGRAPH reports:
The scientists have successfully introduced human genes into 300 dairy cows to produce milk with the same properties as human breast milk.
Anyone out there have as much as a problem with this as I do?

Sure, it suffers more down hours than Blogger.. But then why, I ask, is Blogger copying Tumblr’s successful points?

Some scary life forms that we cannot see. Thankfully. Here is a set of images of microscopic entities..
I’m left with a simple conclusion: I am glad I’m not microscopic. If I was these things would certainly scare me (with Cyanobacteria on rice plant roots being the scariest of all)
Hope your night isn’t this bad.
But a classic nonetheless. Goodnight all

The Albany 7 win one
State workers in lottery pool claim their $319 million
Of course, as life goes, things are never perfect.
There was one person that day who typically joined in office lottery pools who chose this time around not to. And now, the lucky 7 will decide whether to share with the 8th man out.. And if they don’t? How cruel..
But winners take and losers break.
I guess that’s the way of the world, at least when you’re deep into the cash reward of $319 MILLION dollars..

Some random events that have no correlation at all.. But interesting nonetheless
Milk: it does a body good? Maybe so.. but with traces of radiation being found in American milk supplies, the question of safety is coming into question. Doctors and governments are telling us to keep drinking.. When milk moustaches turn green with radiation, though, is when we all have a problem..
Along with milk, the government is also ruling something else to be safe: Body scanners..

A $600,000 frog sculpture that lights up, gurgles “sounds of nature” and carries a 10-foot fairy girl on its back could soon be greeting Defense Department employees who plan to start working at the $700 million Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. this fall. That is unless a new controversy over the price tag of the public art doesn’t torpedo the idea.

Hallway visitors
..so does a child in the house increase a likelihood of spirit activity? Or are these the ramblings and raised-arm-haired chills of someone who is not being rational about shadows on the wall?
It’s just strange when my wife assumes I walk by her in a hallway when I don’t.. or when I hear the noise of walking on carpet when nothing, after all, is there…
Sleep deprivation? .. or the real thing?
Oh I just don’t know.
But what I do know is that every time Ayden wakes up from a 5 minute nap, he thinks it’s feeding time, no matter how recent he ate. It’s like the baby version of 50 FIRST DATES. But it’s all good.
Spirits and all.
