On another election note..

I am going to start a tag here on my site.. the ‘strange places I see Donald Trump signs.’  I see them everywhere.. in weird places, too. On trucks, on rocks. Farms.. on dilapidated houses..

Photos posted in no way shows an endorsement.. just a strange piece of pop culture activity taking place before out eyes..

Everyone is making a big to-do about the Hillary Clinton Labor...

Everyone is making a big to-do about the Hillary Clinton Labor Day coughing spurts .. one during a speech that went on exceptionally too long and the other on a plane ride afterwards..

While there are talking heads and pundits on the big TEE VEE pondering the health of the potential president, I am pondering the tenacity of the potential future VP.  Seriously Kaine, you just allowed her to sputter around on the stage for a long time while you sat behind her smirking and clapping? You couldn’t fetch her a mint? Glass of water? Anything? …

And in case you’re attempting to keep tabs on all of the public coughing issues that Clinton has faced, here is a site keeping a tab for all of 2016..

Russia is not going to allow much advertising of BAD MOMS.. it would appear that Mila Kunis’ name has a pretty similar spelling to the Russian word for ..well.. this is a kid friendly page. You can read it yourself.

This ACTUAL picture pops up every now and then in pop culture...

This ACTUAL picture pops up every now and then in pop culture and has done so for decades.. An actual scene of workers eating lunch above a still being built city.. on a beam.. inches from death but not scared of anything, just devouring their food in order to have energy to work more..

Labor Day is something special.. something very important. It is not MAY DAY, America was sure to separate its reflection of workers from the Communist inspired day across the rest of the world. No, here in America, we have long prided ourselves on having workers rights alongside of capitalism. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it does not. Every now and then someone like Teddy Roosevelt or Franklin have to come around and give workers more rights.. or Richard Nixon and give the government more power to protect.

But labor day did not just emerge because someone in power liked labor unions.. Not at all. It was forged with blood and sacrifice. Real blood and real death. The United States Department of Labor offers up a history of Labor Day on its website..

Not spoken about much during Labor Day celebrations: The Molly Maguires .. They battled coal barons in my home location of the dark mines of Eastern Pennsylvania.. They forged fairness for workers and wages for those who often were just slaves to the company towns.. And they were charged with crimes without evidence they committed them and hung–most likely because their actions have weight that forever changed the nation.

And even today, in the Old Jail in Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania, it is said that a handprint of one Molly still exists as a sign for all future generations of their universal power and strength.

Labor Day comes every year with picnics and beach trips.. and just like every other holiday here in the United States, over time it seemingly loses meaning for some people. Labor Day should not at all.. the very fact you have a day off or are able to have a wage and overtime after forty hours is because of the sacrifices often in blood that so many had generations before us..

Prayers before bed

Me: Ayden, anything you want to ask God for before bed?
Ayden: No. Just tell him I don't really need anything. Everything is okay.

MAC madness..

After much thought and debate, I purchased a MAC computer this week. A desktop too! Throwback 1998!

One of the biggest things I looked forward to: Using the TUMBLR Mac backup app..

And then…came to realize tonight that it seems the MAC backup ability through the Staff Tumblr page is dead and not working.

Can anyone with a MAC background assist in this matter?

The most wonderful time of year

The sun is shining bright today.. this is a fine Sunday, the kind that I feel like I will remember in my ripe old age.

LABOR DAY 2016 is upon us.. my birthday just took place two days previous, and as I age, I really have come to love this month. From September 1 through about October 31, I believe is the best time of the year.. The most remarkable weather here in the eastern part of the former once great Coal Region of Pennsylvania.. The late summer grass begins to fade from green to yellow, leaves start to turn vibrant.. The festivals and fairs of fall usher in a new feeling.. a crisper feel to the air and a rash of hurry in the atmosphere..

The nights get longer.
That part isn’t my favorite..

The days grow weary.. But until November, there is still abundant sun and warmth..

I just love this time of the year.

In some strange way I picture these the final words of Gene Wilder

Round the world and home again

That’s the sailor’s way

Faster faster, faster faster

There’s no earthly way of knowing

Which direction we are going

There’s no knowing where we’re rowing

Or which way the river’s flowing

Is it raining, is it snowing

Is a hurricane a-blowing

Not a speck of light is showing
So the danger must be growing

Are the fires of Hell a-glowing

Is the grisly reaper mowing

Yes, the danger must be growing

For the rowers keep on rowing

And they’re certainly not showing

Any signs that they are slowing

Heroin laced with elephant tranquilizers hits the streets

Heroin laced with elephant tranquilizers hits the streets :

The American heroin epidemic has become more dangerous, as reports of heroin laced with carfentanil are being reported throughout the country.

Carfentanil is the most potent opioid used commercially, 10,000 times stronger than morphine. It is a version or analogue of fentanyl, the painkiller that most recently made headlines with its role in the death of pop star Prince.

So far, overdoses in Florida, Ohio, and Indiana have been linked to the new mixture..

MORE DEATH COMING TO A STREET NEAR YOU. Or yours..

Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump remain within 1 percentage point !

Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump remain within 1 percentage point !:

The summer is waning.. the autumn creeping in.. The election is coming. And a close one may be developing..

Anyone who thought landslide year could be wrong..

The secret LSD-fuelled CIA experiment that inspired Stranger Things :

The linked article goes to the UK GUARDIAN.. which describes how MKULTRA was real.. and how Americans were drugged with LSD without knowing it for secret clandestine experiments on mind control, remote viewing, and other otherworldly things..

…..and of course, it’s not done these days.. Right?

Another Earth might be near, a mere 25 trillion miles away

Another Earth might be near, a mere 25 trillion miles away :

It is called Proxima b.. it is a little over 4 light years away..

And it could harbor life. Or at least running water..

Scientists say this is one of the best places to have one of the best chances where life can be substained..

One astronomer likened it to a flashing neon sign.

“I’m the nearest star, and I have a potentially habitable planet!” said R. Paul Butler, an astronomer at the Carnegie Institution for Science and a member of the team that made the discovery.

This is exciting news.. should be top story status. While it’s not, the eventual outcome could very well be–the future when life on another planet is announced with surity..

At this point, it is being called ‘pure speculation’ that life could actually exist here..

The press release from the European Space Agency, however, is exciting with its implications and slightly scary with the ramifications that if life is there, it could be life we don’t want to meet.

HOPE DASHED!
SUSPENDED..
MORE..

U.S. soccer again has suspended goalkeeper Hope Solo from the women’s national team, but unlike last year, she won’t be back in 30 days. Citing Solo’s accusation of cowardice among Sweden’s players after the team beat the U.S. in the Olympic quarterfinals in Rio de Janeiro, U.S. officials booted Solo for six months.
