Megan Fox speaks: She enjoys showing off her body in movies.
She said,
I don’t feel ashamed or like I can’t be taken seriously while also wearing a tank top. If you don’t take me seriously when I’m wearing a tank top, that’s your f**king problem.
Another day in which she cusses like a sailor, insulting people who don’t like her.
Thumbs down to the haters again.
A doctor named Alan Jamison put himself in self-quarantine in his Tennessee home. While there are no reports that he has Ebola, he treated Ebola patients in Liberia…
He did this Monday—meaning that this entire week, while the United States debated whether bringing Ebola patients to a hospital adjacent to the CDC was a good idea or not, it may have already here all along..
CNN is reporting on the doctor.. and also the fact that he has exhibited no signs of the disease yet..
Worth reading: Jamison has no symptoms at this point.
CNN says,
He plans to be in isolation for 21 days, which is the incubation period for the disease or the time between infection and onset of symptoms.
"My last encounter with a patient who had Ebola was on July 19," he said. "I contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on my arrival … and informed them I had been in West Africa and my history."
The father of three said his daughter picked him up from the airport and dropped him at home, where he’s quarantined himself and has had no contact with anyone since.
Good thing the CDC knows about this..
But I have a few questions…
How many other doctors, or people, are doing the same thing as Dr. Jamison? Should the CDC be more keenly aware, and are they even aware of everyone that may be doing this self-isolation treatment? Should Dr. Jamison being transferred to the CDC location where these other two patients—who definitely have Ebola—are going to be housed ..?
But potentially even more troubling in my mind.. it’s a nice gesture to self-quarantine, but what about the plane he rode with others to get back to the United States?
There is one factor also worth considering—I did not know this until now. Ebola is only contagious after the 21-day incubation period.. That would make for a great sequel to 28 DAYS LATER, but it also creates a far greater chance for developed nations to prevent this disease ..
And let’s face it: The death toll is rough. 90% of those who contact Ebola die.. But a few hundred (conservative estimate, sure) of a few million people isn’t a lot.. Even in third world nations, where disease is abundant, Ebola is still hard to catch under the right circumstances.
The problem is the amount of distrust of governments in the African nations where the disease is hitting, and the refusals to be isolated and also, quite often, the fears of modern medicine..
A big thumbs down on the haters from Megan Fox.. the extra-shiny Fox said the colorful language during a press conference today .. the run up to the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES may be getting a bit stressful.. perhaps Michael Bay has been putting on the pressure for Fox to get even skimpier and skinnier.. Not sure ..
But the truth is this: She hates you if you hate her new movie..
She said this about the newfound online bashing of the newest TMNT:
Let me tell you something about those people. How much money didTransformers 4 make? Exactly. Those people can complain – they all go to the theater. They’re gonna love it – and if they don’t love it, they can fuck off, and that’s the end of that
Critics who have already been critical were quick to criticize and critique.. especially thumb raising is how quick Fox was to use some interesting language and express such raw emotions so few days before the well oiled rollout of the movie occurs..
Fox has been going throughout the world to promote the film.. She’s the star. She’s the face..and the body.
And now she’s the sailor, cussing on stage and hatin’ on haters.
If you want to see killer clowns do some horrid and awful things in a movie, give Rob Zombie some money.
He wants it.. Whether he needs it is another question, and whether he should make such a film is a question I don’t even bother to ask when it comes to him..
We know this, though: Rob Zombie is getting into the crowdfunding game, and is asking fans for cash if they like a ‘fast-paced, mean dirty film for those who like it rough.’ He says..
He has launched RZ-31 on the site FanBacked.com. CNET reports some trinkets you can get for giving Zombie your money to make a torture porn movie:
In addition to offering the typical movie swag like key chains and stickers (which you can get for a $15 contribution), Zombie is upping the rewards game by giving away crew t-shirts ($50), the opportunity to have your name included in the credits ($750), and a chance to be an extra on the set ($5000). If you really have a thing for clowns and murder, you can shell out $10,000 for an executive producer credit.
For $1500 you can get a hold of one of the original crosses from Zombie’s flick “House of 1000 Corpses” or wait for it…a $2000 donation will bring you one of the original Michael Meyers’ masks from “Halloween,” of which, according Zombie, there are only 50 in existence. Fans have 59 days left to contribute to the film if they’re interested.
59 days left.. the clock is ticking.
31 is going to be a ‘kill or be killed’ type movie with no boundaries.. Zombie says a the clowns within will be a group of ‘vile, filthy, blood-thirsty clowns known as The Heads. They come in all shapes and sizes and each grows nastier than the last.’
Sounds fun.
If you like that sort of stuff, perhaps.
So .. have any cash you can send him? Key chains await as a reward..
This is one major reason this outbreak is so bad..
From all sources I have read: Those with the disease, or some who may get it, are either paranoid about their government’s actions or fearful of isolation, that the disease just continues to rapidly spread and countries unravel out of control..
CONGO’s President said that the disease is bigger than everyone..
And perhaps the best description is this: Fighting Ebola is like trying to change a tire in a hurricane..
This is how African newspapers are covering EBOLA..
NOTE.. The ‘burn all bodies’ headline in the lower left.. I think this sufficiently answers my question from last night is in which I asked what will be done with bodies that have suffered death at the hands of the outbreak: Burning.
Meanwhile: Africa has sealed off the Ebola epicenter. A little interesting that, after all the deaths, they are finally doing this..
The AFP reports this:
Opening the summit, WHO chief Margaret Chan told leaders that the response of the three countries to the epidemic had been “woefully inadequate”, revealing that the outbreak was “moving faster than our efforts to control it”.
"If the situation continues to deteriorate, the consequences can be catastrophic in terms of lost lives but also severe socio-economic disruption and a high risk of spread to other countries," Chan said.
She described the outbreak as “by far the largest ever in the nearly four-decade history of this disease”.
"It is taking place in areas with fluid population movements over porous borders, and it has demonstrated its ability to spread via air travel, contrary to what has been seen in past outbreaks," she told the summit.
"Cases are occurring in rural areas which are difficult to access, but also in densely populated capital cities. This meeting must mark a turning point in the outbreak response."
The meeting came after Dubai’s Emirates became the first global airline to announce it was suspending flights to the stricken area, while the United States, Germany, France and Italy have issued warnings against travel to the three African countries.
US President Barack Obama announced on Friday that the United States will screen delegates travelling from Ebola-hit countries to Washington for a three-day Africa summit next week.
The summit must go on.
Captain Trips does not exist.
REUTERS REPORTS THIS:
The U.S. government will begin testing on people an experimental Ebola vaccine as early as September, after seeing positive results from tests on primates, according to media reports on Thursday.
The National Institutes of Health’s infectious disease unit is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to put the vaccine into trial as quickly as possible, according to CNN and USA Today. The director of that unit could not be reached for comment.
So .. I’m curious to those reading.. would you such an experimental vaccine? …would a bigger crisis, and outbreak, make you more likely to take it?
But president says Americans should not be too “sanctimonious” about passing judgment
…..And so it goes..
But not we’re not the only ones who knows.
The Gingerbread Man Restaurant in Strawberry Square in Harrisburg closed early this morning. The closing falls just one week after Coakley’s Restaurant and Irish Pub closed in New Cumberland.
This is beginning to become a problem for Harrisburg..
The latest closure is not being based on parking ticket complaints as others have been, but the point is how many establishments are suddenly closing up shop along the famed restaurant row in the Capitol city..
This is not a good sign of anything good to come..
It’s time.
Ebola heads to America on a plane.. Arrival time: Saturday.
CNN notes:
Ebola isn’t “some mystical pathogen (with) some bizarre mode of transmission,” the doctor noted, adding that it is transmitted similarly to illnesses like SARS or HIV.
But while the Emory staff members are confident, that doesn’t mean they have experience dealing with Ebola, which the World Health Organization reports has infected more than 1,300 people and killed over 700 in recent weeks in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. In fact, no U.S. medical facility has had a known patient with the virus.
Hundreds are flocking to it, it is quite miraculous. But simple science, and the water table, may explain..
Here’s an interesting executive order just signed by Obama..
'apprehension, detention, or conditional release of individuals to prevent the introduction, transmission, or spread of suspected communicable diseases.”'
I really thought long and hard about the fact we are bringing to grave conditioned Ebola patients to the United States. I have a question for anyone out there with any knowledge of this, as I cannot find anything through my searchings..
How is a body treated after death, if that person died of the disease? I know the bodily fluids and blood are the chief way that Ebola is transmitted, so how is a body cared for postmortem? Even more, how was the body prepared safely for a viewing or funeral?
An NHS doctor has urged the world to wake up to the growing threat of Ebola after risking his life working 24-hour hospital shifts trying to save pregnant women struck down by the disease.
This is a sad story coupled with freakish and chilling..
Anyone who follows me or has read this website for any amount of time will know well that when I get worried about something, there’s a tendancy on my part to overkill the issue.. Ebola has been the latest bit of news getting me to tighten my tin foil hat..
The prospects of EBOLA being present in the United States—on purpose—gave me chills.. Yes, it’s Americans who obviously have the right to be in America, and we’re told the chamber fortress where the treatment in Atlanta will take place is safer than any place on earth.. but.. don’t you still get a bit of a chill hearing that Ebola is purposely being brought to the United States? That a hospital will treat patients here? Maybe I am too ‘American’ in my thought—-but to those who think I don’t care about Africans suffering the affliction, you’re wrong. I have been paranoid about this for years and have constantly worried about it, and reported about it… The latest outbreak is the worst ever seen.. Hopefully it burns itself out.. gets under control…
Let’s hope Captain Trips will not exist.
And yes, the man who discovered the virus says that he would sit next to someone on a train if they were infected with it.
But would you?
Would I?
There is chaos constantly on the planet earth.. It reminds me more than a bit like the opening scenes of the STAND, or opening paragraphs depending on how you discovered it..
EBOLA is coming to our shores.. it’s real, it’s on purpose.
Let’s hope and pray that all of those rational people saying there’s nothing to see here are right.
But .. until then..
Baby..can you dig your man!?
In light of EBOLA on a plane with the destination Atlanta, here’s a blast from the past suggestion for some summer reading..
