A painful sugarfree stomach

I am a little bit of it Altoids addict, I pop them like candy. Well I guess they are candy, but they are curiously strong candies that I seem to have no version eating one after the other the entire tin cans gone.

So that is why my wife figured it would be good to buy me the many candies as opposed to the regular size, something to help cut down my addiction..

Last night I ate an entire small can of Altoids.. they tasted a little bit different they still have the kick that I needed.

And it made my stomach turn to rot.
I could not believe the pains I having and the gastrointestinal issues only five minutes after eating my last one..

That’s when I did my due diligence, looked at the can, and realized that the mini candies are sugarfree, replacing that sugar and corn syrup goodness with dangerous aspartame..

I swore off fake sugar and artificial sweeteners years ago, and every time I have anything that contains aspartame I get immediate headaches and stomach pains. Last night I cursed Donald Rumsfeld as I tried to fall asleep, knowing that the deal worked out back last century led to this rat poison being in my body..

This morning I stopped at my local convenience store and bought a large box of Altoids.. they have sugar and I’m grateful for that.

I get a feeling that if alien life is going to be announced, it will be coming from religious leaders before the government. That way it would sink in better with people if they heard it from God-like men as opposed to devil-like whores..

And in that regard: The Vatican Observatory is co-hosting a conference in Arizona this week on the search for life beyond the solar system.. I always think back to the priest who said he’d love to baptize an alien.. Maybe the Vatican knows disclosure will lead to a surge in numbers. But what will the aliens donate in the weekly collection basket?

The Pacific ‘ring of fire’ has seemingly awakened over the past several weeks, producing large earthquakes in a number of locations.

This morning, things were no different; Southern California experienced a relatively substantial shake at 6:30am PDT.. The quake registered at 4.7 but was downgraded to 4.4. ..

While no significant damage has yet been reported, vehicles were rocked back and forth in the early morning commute hours..

CBS’s local affiliate said that they felt an intense rocking back and forth during the early morning quake. Live during the newcast, the entire set of the news program starting shaking as the helpless broadcasters were shocked during the live footage..  reports indicate that the quake lasted for several seconds, as least..

Since the initial large rattle, further aftershocks have occurred.. LA QUAKE BOT, a programmed Twitter account, gives the latest information on the aftershocks in real time..

There’s been a tremendous amount of conspiracy conjecture relating to Fukushima since the nightmare began March 2011.. but this article posted at the New York TIMES is hair-raising.. Apparently Japan’s government is trying to stop reporting of facts, such as this: Radioactive cesium 137 in the surface water of the Pacific Ocean COULD BE 10,000 times as high as contamination from Chernobyl. Let that, and other facts from the article, sink in a bit..

Last night I posted something that has been getting re-posted for a long time on my personal Facebook page: It was from CRACKED, and it was the ‘8 insulting ways people act ‘Irish’ on St. Patrick’s Day’.. What sort of astounded me was the reaction it got from someone.. She was hardcore angry over the content. She is Irish, I am just about 50% if you would measure me, so I offered up the article because a friend of mine did and I found it interesting… 

But her ferocious outrage and indignation with the article was obvious from her lengthy post about the author .. corned beef.. and cabbage.  Perhaps I should have linked up this article by Seamus McKiernan on the HUFFINGTON POST. He has dual citizenship, here in the United States and also in Ireland. He is not celebrating St. Patrick’s Day because he fears that the events occurring at local watering holes and parades across the US of A have become a ‘cartoonish’ farce..  He also pointed out that St. Patrick’s colors were blue, not green.. and that the good Irish saint may not have even been Irish! 

The HUFFINGTON POST isn’t done yet.. another blogger, Bill Stieger, writes about the American version of drinking the holiday to death.. He says,

Miley Cyrus has been grossing out the people of the planet since autumn 2013. Recently, thanks to her BANGERZ tour, we’ve seen her ride a giant hot dog enter the stage on a massive lizard-like tongue coming from a monumentally frightening image of her face.

But a construction worker involved with making the tongue slide was more than grossed out—he was injured! 

He is suing the company that built the tongue.. 

He is not suing Miley Cyrus however.

Maybe we could talk this worker and Sky Ferreira into doing us a favor and trying to figure out a lawsuit to stop Miley from being Miley.

I wish for a world without tragedy and fear for children. Obviously judging from daily news, this planet  hasn’t attained any goal of goodness or love.

If a horrible accident occurred on board this plane, it’s assumed that all 239 passengers succumbed to their ill-fated demise quickly. I fear that did not happen.. I especially cringe thinking about the plane experiencing a hijacking gone wrong, or something even worse for the innocent people aboard the flight.

Yes, indeed.. those who tune out of heavy headlines may be the happiest. 

I’m not like that. I soak up the news as much as a Sheryl Crow soaks up the sun. And for that, I am typically upset about what some nation or person has done to an innocent child in a dark part of the planet Earth.

I guess it’s green beer night across America.

David Brenner just lost a battle with cancer.. he is dead tonight at the age of 78.

He died on a Saturday.. I think of all the Saturday nights he entertained throughout the years of his career, to half empty rooms of half drunk people to the audiences of the TONIGHT SHOW with Johnny Carson..

His humor became an inspiration for others such as Jerry Seinfeld and Paul Reiser..

He was a star of the 20th century and a trend setter for years to come..

And he never abandoned his craft.

As FOX news points out in their story tonight on his passing, 

Brenner worked steadily through 2013 doing standup. A four-day gig last December included a New Year’s Eve show at a King of Prussia, Pa., casino-resort in which he showcased young comedians.
