Committing Miriam Carey..
This should not come as a shock to anyone who has any inkling of knowledge of the Miriam Carey killing in Washington DC, but it’s finally official revealed that she possessed no weapons and had “no motive” to do what she did.. Of course, her action and the lack of a weapon didn’t help stop her demise. Police shot her and killed her in front of her one-year-old child after a wild day of varied news reports ..
I ask you this, though.. Why the silence? An innocent African American woman gunned down at close range by an army of police officers in the Nation’s Capitol.. and what occurs? Congress gives a standing ovation … no civil rights leaders speak up.. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton don’t say a word any of this.. Who will weep for Miriam Carey? Her family, for one… perhaps one day her young child, a child who will luckily not remember seeing her mother be shot dead as the nation’s media happily cheered on the state’s actions in making sure she didn’t live any more seconds to tell why she was acting the way she was the day she died. enough, the family of Carey has not been permitted to view her body.. They haven’t seen the child.. few are asking how her car slammed security gates, but didn’t have air bags deploy, and didn’t have any hardcore visible damage when cops finally cornered her. And finally, the big one, why are no media organizations concerned with the reality of events and why she actually died that fateful day in Washington D.C. ??

There is a lot of ‘noise’ .. but real and white noise. Sometimes you can almost feel the electronic bursts of WIFI and cell towers flowing through your body like a cancerous disease.
But not in this location in West Virginia..

In regards to the article you posted, in high school all my classes started switching over to reading and math courses geared to doing well on the state tests. That's all we learned over and over. How to solve common questions on those tests. What we were learning bored me. It didn't make me think. It required no real skill or thought process. It was the same shit over and over every year. Now wonder we are so stupid. I used to love learning before it became all about the state tests.

Everything in education seems to be just “processed” anymore, like McDonalds food. The same education everywhere.. no matter the class size or background of the student. I cannot even imagine many schools teaching local history anymore.. nothing relating to things that matter to the area a child is growing up in..
I am not an education expert—though I have debated as of late whether I should go back to school for a certificate to teach—so until then I cannot really exclaim I know the problems and errors within our system.
But I can say this.. what we are doing is not working. We are raising a generation shaky on basics, and almost absent many fundamentals that other nations have—and our collective hind end is being handed to us with a big giant bow on it..
Again.. something needs to be done to alleviate the masses of the asses, and bring the herd up to speed on what really matters.
A 21st century style of teaching … something else needs to be done in the modern era..
And maybe it already started and I missed the beginning—perhaps others out there with a subject matter expertise on such things can enlighten me and give me hope. Until then… adults in the US of A will just be plain out dumber than the rest of the world..

An interesting video.. I actually was not aware that kids as young as 13 were subjected to solitary confinement as much as they apparently are.. this video explains and demonstrates that point through some hard hitting scenes..
And now the ACLU has called on the Justice Department to disallow the punishment

Human Rights watch called for a ban a while back..
And really, there does not seem to be any overall public benefit to providing solitary torture for teenagers ..
In a nation that seems fine with disappearing people, giving drones the ability to decide who to kill, and using weapons to stop tourists from looking at Yellowstone, I don’t think this noble goal has much immediate traction..
But it should..
