bus carrying the Seton Hill University women’s lacrosse team crashed into a tree in southern Pennsylvania on Saturday, killing the team’s head coach and the bus driver, authorities said.

Coach Kristina Quigley was six months pregnant and her unborn child did not survive, the Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Department of Public Safety said.

The accident was still under investigation Saturday afternoon, a state police spokesman said.

I haven’t been to church in 15 years. But the new pope makes me wonder if I should go back

A friend of mine.. and a Catholic, who like all Catholics, leaves the faith at some point. 

I can say it is interesting that the shear humility that Bergoglio displays may be enough to re-kindle that magic that once was that Catholic church experience. 

After all.. what Catholics or former ones don’t get that tingly feeling of joy thinking about the ruler and yardstick beatings at the hands of nuns.. or the hours of mind-numbing Catechism class? Doing it old-school, by the book. big rosaries.. no time for smiles. Just pray. PRAYER DAMMIT, PRAY!

Ok… I had a flashback.

Nonetheless.. anyone who is Catholic or was born such can be happy that finally there’s a Pope who isn’t just dressing fancy and looking like Palpatine from Star Wars.. That’s right.. now we have a Pope with ratty old shoes, a big midsection, and no fancy-dancy outfits with gold-plated underwear. 

I just wonder.. will he drive a Popemobile? In keeping with his style.. I figure he’ll be riding high in a Geo Metro. Pope style.

Men who like bigger breasts are more sexist, so they the experts and studies.

The men who reblog or like this post simply because of the woman pictured with giant breasts probably fit into that category.. but do I for posting it? I hope not.

Next time my wife tells me I need new shoes, I’m just going to tell her I’m now being ‘pope-like.’

New data is revealing just how many abortions took place in China in the last 40 years

The FINANCIAL TIMES reports,

Since 1971, doctors have performed 336m abortions and 196m sterilisations, the data reveal. They have also inserted 403m intrauterine devices, a normal birth control procedure in the west but one that local officials often force on women in China

The numbers do not directly equate to “missing” births because some couples who violate the one-child rule have also had abortions or been sterilised, while intrauterine devices can be removed

Green skies for St Patricks day?? Big CME unleashed from the sun

The flare and CME unleashed by the sun Friday was pointed directly at earth.. As a result a geomagnetic storm and strong northern lights are going to be the result..

In a humorous post, Space weather writes that just in time for St Patrick’s day, the sky may turn green across the United States..

Unfortunately for me, it will be cloudy and SNOWING today.. So I won’t see a thing.. Hopefully my electronics still work by Sunday… Because that was one huge CME..
