Where will a future war for oil be?
That is not too long from now.
It begs the question:
If we have waged wars for oil in the past, will someone wage a war for oil on us in the future?
Strange moment
I’m sitting at Jack Williams waiting for my car to be serviced. I’m sitting near some burly bigger lumberjack looking guys. And what comes on the TV in the waiting room? The TODAY SHOW with a segment of Susan Boyle singing Abba song THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL.
Tension ensues
Such a non masculine moment!
Two burly men got up and left. The other went to the bathroom. I stuck in my chair.
What do you think? The two men jacked with uber testosterone left because they were afraid to weep?
The winner takes it all!!
And now with everyone gone I can turn on CNN!!

The myth of the presidential grays?
Maybe it is just wishful thinking to assume that Commanders in Chief, with all the stresses of their daily duties, will get older quicker than others. But as NBC’s Bill Briggs writes, not really:

I read this story but will ignore it. I’d rather believe that the President ages faster than me. It just makes me feel better. And younger. Until I see my own grays in the mirror piling up, that is..

Nothing is flawless.
And certainly the response had mistakes.
Did they do an impressive job given the circumstances? I suppose so. But it would depend on your ask, wouldn’t it..

Tourists take a swim in Venice.
Trouble is, where they are at is typically and filled with tourists..
The situation in Venice is troubling. 70% of the city is under water.
High tides and heavy rain caused the massive flooding. Tourists are wearing highwaters instead of shorts.
But the idea of people swimming in the water just for a photo op? Hope the sewage isn’t hitting into legs and feet beneath..
2 killed, 27 homes left uninhabitable after Indiana explosion
NBC News: A huge explosion in a south Indianapolis neighborhood late Saturday night killed two people and destroyed or damaged 27 homes.
The cause of the explosion and subsequent fire is still unclear. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has been called in to investigate.
Damage from the explosion hit houses blocks away. Residents were evacuated to a nearby elementary school.
