This is an amazing development and it’s putting lots of pressure on the levees that some didn’t think would occur. .Governor Tom Corbett just landed in Forty Fort.. The dangerous part now: The levees are holding water back that was never expected. So officials are watching them everywhere……. Some people are beginning to return to areas that, if the levee DOESN’T hold, will be flooded. People need to stay out of the mandatory evacuation area in Wilkes Barre and surrounding communities.. This is now history: The level is higher than Agnes in 1972.
