What I have been wondering..
Which scenario would be more detrimental and far reaching for humanity:
1) If we were told that aliens were on the way and would be landing in 48 hours.
2) If we were told that new research and proven beyond down that there are NO life forms in space, and earth is 100% proven as the ONLY planet with life.
My thought would be that scenario 2 would equal more chaos on earth. I think if we were told that life was coming here, we’d be humbled. Sure, riots would occur and some violence and bad behavior, but I think for the most part we’d be haunted by that unknowing experience of what was going to occur. But I think in scenario 2, humans who are despots or evil already would feel vindicated of punishment. And then the real hell on a scorched earth would begin. After all, if there are no other lives in the universe, who’d care if there were a few more Holocausts or mass murders…
I think similar responses could be garnered by removing ‘aliens’ from the premise and including God instead. Regardless of belief in God, I think humanity itself would be in chaos were it to be told unequivocally that there is no God and we are alone, all alone, here on earth.
So, readers, followers, and fans alike, I’m curious as to your thoughts. If you’re so inclined, reply to this post, or send me through a message on my open lines page. Maybe the last space shuttle Atlantis blast off has me thinking of these ‘great beyond’ type questions…
Not sure if anyone listened to Coast to Coast AM last night..
But if you did you would have heard Dr. Gregg Korbon share the story of how his 9 year old son, Brian, predicted his own death with remarkable accuracy.. It was moving, amazing.. and mysterious. Despite critics’ comments of George Noory many have, last night’s show why Coast to Coast AM could still matter.
The hands of time never cease to amaze me.
Don’t let time slip by without trying to get every last bit of enjoyment you can..

Stay tuned..
I am going to propose an interesting question (at least in my mind) tomorrow about aliens and the purpose of humans.. Still forming my thoughts but I’ll be eager to get reader and followers’ input.. Stay tuned.
Obama in a summer heat
Fresh from a Twitter town hall with chosen questions, Obama met at the White House with those who oppose him.. Republicans who loudly say they don’t want to increase the debt ceiling but quietly know they will have to .. a president who is grayer than ever before.. the image of the Commander in Chief today was startling.. sweat beading up on his forehead…more wrinkles than he had in the spring…a portrait of a president—and candidate—who doesn’t have the same youthful fire he had in 2008. 2008, when the world seemed to be ready to change..
Change now, some say, may be the GOP’s rally for 2012.. in a nation still not recovered from recession..a depressing recession at that. Manufacturing? Where are you.. service? …not there.. business? Gone. Wall Street? You’re in the money.
It’s going to be a long hot summer. If the image of President Obama has foretelling of anything, a lot more sweating is yet to come..

Just a few..
THURSDAY JULY 7 2011
A colossal ‘great white spot storm’ observed on Saturn!
Happy days are here again.. Casey Anthony lets her hair down and smiles at sentencing..
Late July or early August release..
Recovery: More consumers than ever behind on their bills…
Thinking outside the box: Woman creates mobile breast feeding truck..
My favorite movie as a child. I intend on somehow, someway, introducing Ayden to the glory that was Terrence Hill and Ernest Borgnine in Superfuzz

Do you want to live forever? Scientists give hope to those who may want a cure for aging
….but I ask again, do you want to live forever? .. I think few would..
Do you want to live forever? Scientists give hope to those who may want a cure for aging
…a note to the pundits on TV trying to over-do the verdict: The jury did NOT say Casey was innocent.. they said ‘not guilty,’ which means the prosecution didn’t prove the case..
Now, as for that jury? …we’re still waiting for you to fill those 12 angry empty chairs and tell us why you decided all of this in just 10 hours..
I have to to wonder..
If the Casey Anthony trial wasn’t televised and had no attention, would the jury have found her not guilty..? Regardless of her guilt, the jury held true to their oath.. But if Casey was an inner city poor nameless face, would her fate have been different…?
Wow...
The jury thinks Casey Anthony is a liar.. But not a murderer.. The jury finds her not guilty on murder charges as Casey smirks from her seat…

4th of July as it's meant to be
It’s 9pm on the East Coast, America 2011.. The light of day still hovers in the evening sky.. Illegal fireworks explode in the distance.. This, indeed, is how summer is meant to be ..
America, for all its flaws and mistakes, is still the best place to live. Because after all, where else in the world can you point out your country’s flaws and mistakes and not go to jail or be killed..?
Enjoy all.. Cook out. Light fireworks. Be safe. And sing a song of American pride.
Goodnight America. Just don’t say goodbye to America.
*Another* new study suggests that autism may be triggered in the womb
The latest in a number of theories as to what causes the distressing ailment to children..This theory is according a study by Stanford University.. They compared cases of autism in identical and fraternal twins and found that fraternal twins — who share only half of the same genes — have unusually high rates of autism. Reuters reports further:
"In another, researchers at health insurer Kaiser Permanente found mothers of children with autism were twice as likely to have been prescribed a common antidepressant during the year before their pregnancy than mothers of healthy children.
And the risk was even greater — a threefold increase — when the drug was taken in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Coal region bites: For the fourth time in just two weeks, a person was bitten by a pit bull in Pottsville, PA
…it’s the home of Yuengling brewery, and now dangerous dog bites.. Four times in 2 weeks!? Is there something in the water, or is it just that the SPCA doesn’t take pit bulls anymore!?

Black cloud over Florida..
There is currently drenching rain in Florida as reporters await a verdict in the Casey Anthony trial… Expect full scale media feeding frenzy when the half hour warning comes from the judge..

The United States of gloom? UK TELEGRAPH says maybe
Author Tony Harnden puts forward an interesting proposition: The United States is gloomier this year than it was in1980. In the argument, pollster and ever-growing Frank Luntz and his hair were used as source code for numbers.. Thanks UK TELEGRAPH, 235 years later you’re rubbing in the fact we declared independence, and using Frank Luntz for some help.
The United States of gloom? UK TELEGRAPH says maybe
One of the most moving and epic songs at one of the most moving and epic times in our nation’s history. On September 14, 2001, the United States Navy performed a stirring rendition of the Battle Hymn of the Republic while the nation mourned thousands of deaths on 9/11/01.
It’s easy to forget.. it’s simple to turn the page. But these days are ingrained in whoever lived through them. Regardless of what happened since, this time, this moment, that very song at that very second, filled the American people with courage and a thriving sense of patriotism.

The story of the STAR SPANGLED BANNER
The second video of two I promised today.. This one to me best exemplifies the spirit of America—as told by one of the greatest voices in American history: Johnny Cash.. The Ragged Old Flag.. Enjoy.
The first video I promised for today.. This is on the Fourth of July in a little suburban town. It’s the finale of the Wonders Years, the final 5 minutes namely..
Things have been a little rushed this year with some family ailments, a new son, and just life whizzing by.. Thanks for a friend who posted this video on my Facebook page yesterday, I realized how every Fourth of July I take a few minutes to watch this and .. sure, cry now and then too. It was a great show and it ended with a great proposition: The American dream, in a suburban American town, with fireworks blazing and life just going on.. Amazing.
I offer this up to you now.. hope you’ll take as much “Americana” as you can from it like I do ..
America seemingly is living in the wonder years.. confusing times of arguments, war, violence.. But since 9/11 things have been different. People are on edge.. People are watching over their shoulders for suspicious anythings..
I’d love to go back to a time when the American soul wasn’t perverted by color coded terror alerts and instead just wanted a grilled burger with a cold beer. I want to go back to a time when the United States wasn’t a bastion of political rhetoric—all of which means nothing in the end—and instead just work together for the betterment of all..
In some small measure, this show ending grounds me in a way. And I wish I can explain better why but I tried by best here.
And I knew they’d never have Winnie and Kevin get together..
asylums- because of just how much it creeped me out..:
Harrisburg State Hospital beds
The thought of these old sanitariums and ‘nut houses’ as they once were called freak me out, to my core.. Maybe too many stories of abuse or ghost haunts.. But this image is lonely, sad, and chilling.
Shock storm hits Wisconsin and kills a child…. the storm rolled in out of nowhere, moved across Minnesota and Wisconsin on Friday, packing winds approaching 80 mph and hail as large as softballs..
A freaky holiday dream
I’m only relaying this because of how much it disturbed me last night..my dream involved a Fourth of July cookout with family and while we were looking at the sky, the sun went dim enough to stare at it—and it began to visibly emit large red flares … visible from the backyard cookout here on earth.
br>Looking back now the humorous part of my dream was that I immediately checked Twitter to see who else saw it..
Of course, it was the Armageddon flare. We were doomed. Then I woke up. Thankfully.
You can’t beat this song.. At least not when performed by Roberta Flack.. Goodnight all.

Bombs bursting in air
Homemade fireworks blowing up tonight from sea to shining sea.. My neighbors are not excluded from the festivities.. It’s just my hope that they have a slight inkling as to what July 4th actually is..
Keep sending good thoughts my way.. My mother-in-law is trending better but she’s still in heap of problems. This is her favorite song, my wife tells me.. and I’m posting it since hope it all we have in life..
Oh the irony..
Chris Hansen is famous to sneaking up on naked men who prey on kids on TO CATCH A PREDATOR, but now he is the victim of a hidden camera.. He was caught potentially cheating.. Allegations now. No word on whether he brought the wine and condoms. I’m sure we’ll find out.
Oilstone: Exxon oil spills in Yellowstone River and forces evacuations.. No word yet on what caused the leak .. the oil stretches for miles. Ain’t that America..
Go Daddy was sold this week for $2.25 billion bucks.. and it’s giving a lot of people the excuse of running an image of giant breasts with the Go Daddy image planted on them. Including me. Because it’s the Fourth of July, and damnit, that’s the right of every American: To blog an image of large breasts with Go Daddy on them. Let the fireworks begin.
A fake world making millions
Welcome to the articifial world: FARMVILLE files for IPO!
Zynga aims high..
Months ago, a story was relayed to me about Farmville. My sister was in a sandwich shop waiting for food when a woman in front of her, obviously rushing, told the person at the register that she needed to get home quickly to tend to her coconuts. When the cashier, a little stunned, wondered aloud how this woman was growing coconuts in the middle of winter, the woman responded that they are growing at home, on her computer, in the land called Farmville. Welcome to the new land of make believe—escaping from the reality of food shortages and crop failures, GMO foods and E Coli. Virutal food bourne illnesses don’t kill, and Zynga is aiming high..
Deep into patriotism..stand up for yourself always. Goodnight world.

You’ll never know where you’ll find a meth lad these days!
It could be.. your backyard.. It could be a restaurant that has a hotel over top—a restaurant with a cute little grandmother figure standing outside watching for danger. This one, unfortunately, passed granny by.
The site: Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; Frackville. Granny’s Motel: Cops swooped in and busted a meth lab in room 18.
The business has been around for ages.. it is a motel/bed and breakfast.. And now, after strong odors were reported, it is the latest scene of the depressed world of meth labs—something that seemingly is becoming as common in the coal region as coal mines themselves. The most repugnant of drugs .. cooking in a bed and breakfast.
..and if a place called Granny’s isn’t safe from the smell of cooking meth labs, I’d suppose no where will be.

That's the Coal Speaker version of news for now..
I will be updating when I can.. In the immediate, family comes first and as those following me know, it hasn’t been easy lately. Please keep the compassion of collective consciousness coming this way, I believe there is a certain power to it. At least I hope.
Victory for common sense: Update on the Emily Good case
THE CHARGES AGAINST EMILY GOOD HAVE BEEN DISMISSED..
Remember, she was arrested for video taping a cop doing his job—while she was in her front yard..Her own front yard.
A headline worthy of reading again.. and again.
Thanks for the emails and messages
Just an update from the Coal Speaking headquarters: The situation is still troublesome.. vital signs are a little better. For those who wanted to know it’s my wife’s mom.. Still very tough road in the next 24 hours — watching and waiting.. and praying. Praying to whatever watches over this whole mess called earth.
Thank you all for the concern.
The static age is here
