NASA is studying a long cosmic burst from the center of a distant galaxy.
Astronomers think the the blast occurred “when a star wandered too close to its galaxy’s central black hole,” NASA said.

News from the coal mine.. Deep and dark tidbits of tenacity from the world at large
While it’s not a full collection of the horrors that took place on earth today, it’s what I found most interesting..
Perhaps the MOST interesting of all is the HANGOVER 2 trailer being pulled for a monkey sex scene…
No more HANGOVER? HANGOVER 2 trailer pulled from theaters by the
MPAA..Slashfilm gets document..
So what got it pulled? A monkey sex scene..
And here are the rest of the pieces of newsbytes from around the world:
If Donald Trump ran for president, could he win? A new poll suggests he is pulling second place in the GOP race..
Broke: New York City to close 20 fire companeis..
Glenn Beck OUT at Fox News..
Government shut down looms on Friday..
What a government shut down would mean for you..

Scottish school hit by storm—of worms!
President Obama remembers what it was like to pump gas.. That’s great.
REAL RETINAS grown in a lab hold promise..
News about the Hadron Collider never ceases to amaze me and scare me' a little bit too
US physicists are to announce Wednesday that data from a major atom smasher lab may have revealed a new elementary particle, or potentially a new force of nature, the New York Times reported.
With timing like this, who needs conspiracy theories?! The EU and US plan on raising allowable radiation levels for food.
The year of the cat? I’d rather a year of the dog.. But that’s just me. Goodnight all..

Bath salts that don't clean
So… as usual, my local news just opened up, yet again, with another cautionary tale of mindless zombie teenagers getting high, and dying, on bath salts. Yes, indeed, this new phase of drug addiction is interesting—but particularly bothersome at the same time. It shows that, without question, the kids aren’t alright. No one just wants to be happy being alive these days, I guess. Instead of seeing earth as it is, people would rather seduce their brains with mind altering drugs. And even though the idea of drug and alcohol use among the puberty-wrought teen crowd as been around for ages, the latest bout of the human body with bath salts shows the unintellectual ability that kids have to come up with strange ways to destroy brain cells without inhibition.
And at the same time, I’d somewhat tired of hearing of bath salts.
The top story every night? … Along with the latest fire to burn a barn, or the latest accident to destroy a family. Weather 15 after, sports at 20. Followed up, at the end, with the fun little story of a goat with three legs or a potato sack race for cancer patients.
Local news is so predictable—and often boring.
I will argue that bath salt deaths are the best thing to happen to local news since rumors of knives in apples on Halloween. Unfortunately, unlike the Halloween scare, bath salts are real along with killing kids.
But state Legislatures will soon ban them. And …. that will … solve the problem………….. [inject sarcastic face.]
Human hormones being mixed with cow's milk. (This is NOT fiction)
The LONDON TELEGRAPH reports:
The scientists have successfully introduced human genes into 300 dairy cows to produce milk with the same properties as human breast milk.
Anyone out there have as much as a problem with this as I do?

Some scary life forms that we cannot see. Thankfully. Here is a set of images of microscopic entities..
I’m left with a simple conclusion: I am glad I’m not microscopic. If I was these things would certainly scare me (with Cyanobacteria on rice plant roots being the scariest of all)
Hope your night isn’t this bad.
But a classic nonetheless. Goodnight all

The Albany 7 win one
State workers in lottery pool claim their $319 million
Of course, as life goes, things are never perfect.
There was one person that day who typically joined in office lottery pools who chose this time around not to. And now, the lucky 7 will decide whether to share with the 8th man out.. And if they don’t? How cruel..
But winners take and losers break.
I guess that’s the way of the world, at least when you’re deep into the cash reward of $319 MILLION dollars..

Milk: it does a body good? Maybe so.. but with traces of radiation being found in American milk supplies, the question of safety is coming into question. Doctors and governments are telling us to keep drinking.. When milk moustaches turn green with radiation, though, is when we all have a problem..
Along with milk, the government is also ruling something else to be safe: Body scanners..

A $600,000 frog sculpture that lights up, gurgles “sounds of nature” and carries a 10-foot fairy girl on its back could soon be greeting Defense Department employees who plan to start working at the $700 million Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. this fall. That is unless a new controversy over the price tag of the public art doesn’t torpedo the idea.

Hallway visitors
..so does a child in the house increase a likelihood of spirit activity? Or are these the ramblings and raised-arm-haired chills of someone who is not being rational about shadows on the wall?
It’s just strange when my wife assumes I walk by her in a hallway when I don’t.. or when I hear the noise of walking on carpet when nothing, after all, is there…
Sleep deprivation? .. or the real thing?
Oh I just don’t know.
But what I do know is that every time Ayden wakes up from a 5 minute nap, he thinks it’s feeding time, no matter how recent he ate. It’s like the baby version of 50 FIRST DATES. But it’s all good.
Spirits and all.
Well whadda know: Mainstream media admits "chemtrails" exist but still calls them contrails.. But hey, that's progress
Enough tic-tac-toe shapes in the sky later, and how could you not admit that planes are making some very strange shapes in skies that one day way back when were blue…

Just as trade winds take Fukushima’s radioactive particles throughout the world—as for as Massachusetts to Russia and back to Japan again—a group is warning that the EPA is readying a dramatic increase of allowable radiation in water, food, and the air..

Laugh if you must, but I bet if you listen to this song by Celine Dion you’ll be humming it by the end.. Good evening everyone..
Who are we? Why are we here?
Nevermind whether God exists.. I’ve often wondered, do we exist? Sure, to ourselves we do. But do others exist to us? We are conscious only of ourselves and cannot feel what others do, and in turn, they cannot feel what we do. Therefore, to others, we very well may not exist too. And if we don’t exist to them, and they don’t exist to us, does anyone really exist. Maybe the only real thing that exists is ego. And when you take away ego, we become nothing….

A cold spring night.
Before I write anything else, it’s worth noting: It feels like mid December .. And it’s spring time. The days are getting longer but not warmer, at least not here in the East, where cold seemingly snuggled into the lands back in January and stuck around ever since. Snowstorm after snowstorm, brief thaws that only turned to ice.. All that behind us, but what’s ahead? Apparently more snow—forecasters are at least speaking of some predictions that snow yet again will strike Coal Speaker home base by the middle to end of the week…
Nonetheless, tonight, as the sun’s final rays faded into black, a cold wind blew as I walked outside. And I couldn’t help but think of Long Beach Island.
I’m a part time vacationer—which means if I actually go on vacation I really don’t enjoy myself.. Something deep down prevents any form of relaxation, I guess. I imagine it will get even tougher with a child in the family—but at least now there is a rewarding reason not to relax.
But as a lover of Long Beach Island, I just can’t stop wondering how the little slice of paradise is tonight?
The winds are cold there, too, I’d guess. But along with those cold winds come beautiful sites of a bay on one side of the highway and a deep and dark ocean on the other…
I miss it. I hope to go back. And I hope my wife and I can introduce a young and inquisitive Ayden to the little island as well.
Maybe he will become a lover, like me, of Chicken or the Egg. Maybe the little AM will enjoy the PM watching over the island from the lighthouse at the top.. And maybe even he, like me, will enjoy the humble rooms of the Buccaneer Motel.
I hope..
It’s been a while since I was there. Maybe this year I can get back there..
That is, of course, once these cold and biting winds go away and warmth comes back ..
Wow..

Interesting future the world is heading to.. Draconian. Strange. What will society be like by 2050? …for one, it may not be very mobile, unless perhaps by then we will have teleportation technology.

Don't get me wrong, I think 10 million times higher than safe levels is bogus
But the other numbers, most likely much closer to the truth, are reading about 10,000 times higher than safe levels—with reactors still melting down as the clock ticks on. The radiation is so high, the whole operation at Fukushima is more like a suicide mission.
This weekend, it seems like the NCAA and March Madness has dominated the news as opposed to true life-threatening issues like the still developing madness in Japan..
A report saying that radiation at Fukushima was 10 million times higher than allowable levels has been retracted..
But why … was it retracted for inaccuracies? Or perhaps because the levels are really high and no one really wants anyone to know it.
